We loved our stay here - the buildings, rooms, garden, furnishings and decor are just beautiful. (the owner Thora is an architect and she has wonderful taste). The location is perfect - quiet and tranquil yet the sights of Cochin are easily accessible by foot. The room was very comfortable, air-conditioning worked very well. Breakfast was very good with some...

This wonderful little hotel was the best place we stayed at during our trip to India. The room was quiet and elegant with a view of the pool. The history and architecture were part of the charm. The yoga is not to be missed. Breakfast was relaxed and delicious. Our hosts were most accommodating and gracious. If I return to...

I loved this place. Despite being in the centre of Fort Cochi it is peaceful and quiet. The rooms are large comfortable and the staff cannot do enough to help. The food is also excellent. Breakfast was included for us but we also had dinner - Kerala fish curry - and it was delicious

Hidden away in a residential neighborhood in Fort Cochin, a truly beautiful compound--reflecting the taste and esthetic of Thora, its resident owner and designer. Everything about the place, the beautiful built-in furniture, the lovely grounds, the warm and friendly staff, make it a joy to stay. The kitchen makes a nice breakfast, but also will make you lunch or dinner...

Wonderful place, hidden in the backstreets of Fort Kochi. The decor is lovely, there's excellent food, the staff are charming and the Icelandic owner is delightful. A perfect place from which to explore the area.

Our room was spacious with a terrace that runs the length of the room. It was beautifully and tastefully furnished and arranged. We loved the alcove rest area. The walls are painted using vegetable paints by a local artist. It's a great place to stretch out and relax. The Secret Garden is very aptly named. It is hidden down a...

This is one of those places... a hotel that makes you forget it's a hotel, it's just a place, one of those places on earth you can not forget, places that give you more than you can ever pay for. I spent two months in Secret Garden, January and February 2016, working on a novel. For work it is exceptional,...

We stayed for two nights at the start of a South India trip. An idea base from which to explore and get a sense of Indian history and contemporary life. High quality accommodation, attentive staff with pool and optional yoga.
