Location of the resort is perfect amidst green peaceful environment.Staff are good .I liked their positive and helping attitude .They served us our choice of food at breakfast and dinner. Mr.Wilson was found very active all the time catereing to the need of Guests. He helped us to feel at home at the resort ,and make our local sightseeing, shopping and our visit to Manglore a succes. But there are some points which I beleive the management of the resort should look into, to make the guests more happy for their expenditure ,-- 1. Bath towels /hand towels are old,- very bad condition. 2.Some activities for offseason guest should also be there .The afternoon / evening time quite boring inside the resort ,if you dont go in group. 3.The area used for chicken and emu coop is not adding any aesthetic value to resort. On the contrary,it is creating a dirty, unhygenic place with dilapidated sheds ,- through which guest must cross to reach restaurant and swimming pool. Thanks to all staff of River Roost , who made our stay enjoyable on 24 -27 August.2022 despite of few negatives as mentione above.…
We stayed 2 days with my wife and the property has very calm but vibrant atmosphere once you enter. The property has river view, swimming pool and games like Table tennis, badminton, cricket to play. The rooms are well maintained, food was delicious. Service was amazing and Manager Sajda was of great help whenever required. She helped us out with car rental.
A fabulous place nestled in the midst of nature, on the banks of the river Gurpur. The property is large and beautiful, with lots of activities for all age groups. Zip lining, boating, swimming and other activities like rope walking makes it an exciting place for physical activities. Large green open spaces with domestic animals like calves, goats, ducks, roosters and a variety of birds makes it an intimate experience with nature. The rooms are nice and the wooden cabins add to a unique and cosy experience. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food was tasty and good. I would definitely recommend it, whether for a family holiday with children or a romantic holiday or a holiday with friends!
I have been to this place there times now, with different group - my family, cousins and colleagues. It's apt for any type of group you want to go with. Food is good and you can also go for special items which the staff can prepare for you. The place has big swimming pool, varitey of indoor outdoor games, boating , zip lining and animals to pet around. The property also had big Kids area which has variety of activities to engage kids from 2- 14 years age group. Rooms and very spacious and clean. The host is very courteous and always been very helpful. I highly recommend this resort.
We had an amazing day out. Most serene environment, nice ambience, lovely people and staff. If you're planning for a stay or a day out this place is highly recommended. ❤️Sajda we loved everything you offered.. kudos to you and your team
Everything about River Roost just spells sheer class and bliss. From the time my wife and our friends checked in till the time we checked out, we really had the time of our lives. some of the great bits: Rooms were huge and the bathrooms were spanking new Service was excellent We hung out by the pool and the bar with the DJ playing some of our favourite songs. The only downside is that it is located in the outskirts of Mangalore. Felt really bad we had to leave in 2 days. We are already planning a weeks stay in October and plans are underway. Highly recommend.
The worst resort in Mangalore.. We checked in to River roost resort on 21st Feb 2020, Friday afternoon. It was a day out for my family after a long time and we wanted to relax n have fun. We were 5 adults and 1 child so we took 1 Deluxe wood cabin and 1 Premium Deluxe room.. After checkin, we went to have lunch at the restaurant and saw multiple groups of people of more than 80 ppl hanging out there..almost 30 people in the pool and 25 in bar counter.. and rest were playing table tennis, basketball, badminton etc.. Majority of the crowd was drunk.... All the facilities were occupied by the day package group ..and thus we couldn't do anything but have lunch and return to our rooms.. The management people told us to use the pool after 5:30 and we kept waiting for the group to leave but they stayed till 6:45pm.. thus wasting our half day... We went to play in the pool after the group left and found the water was completely dirty and there was mucus floating in the water.. We thought we could atleast play in the pool in the morning after they change the water ..but when we went to have breakfast we saw a group of ppl coming for the day package, a crowd of almost 50 ppl filled the activity area and pool ... Overall we spent around 18k plus for staying in the rooms and not getting any exclusivity to use the sports amenities and pool.. Even the bath towels given had dead spiders stuck on it..The Wooden cabin made loud squeaking sounds while walking...and thus irritating us even more.. When we tried to use the kettle , we saw it was not cleaned and was stinking of leftover milk ..Also we had shared our dinner order in the afternoon itself but we were told most of the items in the menu are not there..thus making us order only limited items.. All this ruined our holiday and we checked out soon after breakfast on 21st Feb .. When we shared our concerns with the management people, they started arguing tat we should adjust with the crowd. It looks like money making is important to the resort ppl rather than customer satisfaction. I suggest tat they close their rooms and stop making fool of people who plan to stay overnight in the resort. The entire experience was worst and it ruined our holiday.. I don't recommend anyone this resort if u want to spend good time with your family or friends.. It was very disappointing..…
This place is really wonderful. I had 20 family members whom I invited on the occasion of my baby girl bday. Their hospitality is good. And few staff members are very amiable. It's a place worth for the price they charge. We opted for dinner buffet and food turned out to be very tasty. Rotis were exceptionally soft. Except for the approaching route which is very zig-zag, up and down narrow and full of stones with high and low steep. Everything else about this place is very charming and peaceful 😊👌
This is definitely out of the beaten track however they guide you so well that you reach there without GPS. James and his wife are absolutely fantastic. We had both our pets with us and had checked into a really terribleplace in Bekal (as Taj was totally booked) but after two hours there we traveled all the way to Mangalore (due to dearth of pet friendly hotels) and checked into River Roost. It's on the river and it has really nice rooms. It was heaven sent after the hovel in Bekal from where we ran away. Food is great, breakfast spread is more Indian however James and his team took care of us like family. Since my mom is 80 years old he served food in the room for her. Their warmth and lovely property made us feel very welcome.
Located on the banks of the surprisingly full and flowing (in summer) Gurupura river, River Roost turned out to be a great experience for us during our stay in Mangalore. It is at a proximal distance from tourist attractions such as Panambur Beach, Pilikula golf club, etc. The resort also has a number of activities like archery (though we couldn’t avail the same), boating (under repair currently), cycling, which we quite enjoyed, and a lot of other indoor and outdoor games, not to forget, a well maintained swimming pool. It also has a plethora of wildlife, birds in particular. The room was comfortable for us as a family of six, with a balcony overlooking the resort. They arranged a scrumptious buffet at mealtimes and specific menus were available when we informed them in advance. With helpful staff and serene surroundings, River Roost was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. Travellers’ Tip: To reach there, continue on NH169 until you come across a sign saying that the resort is 1.6 km away(as in, don’t drive through an arch), if you want to avoid wandering on a meandering route, which is scenic, but a bit steep and difficult to drive on.…
