This was the last night of our tour in India. The hotel is old, or at least appears to be. It has a wonderful location on top of a hill. Views of the airport, river and valley below are available from balconies at each room. The hotel has WiFi and games available in the lobby. Rooms are actually suites with sitting areas. Beds were clean and comfortable, not hard like many of the hotels where we stayed. Food was typical Indian.

Hi I visited this place with my husband. Please don't waste your money and time on this horrible resort. This resort is situated in a very beautiful location but it's horribly maintained. 1) The owner is not even bothered and not welcoming at all. 2) The cottage is horribly maintained. There are so many lizards to welcome you. There are lizards hiding behind the curtains and some are even on the floor. There are so many insects and cob webs. 3) The balcony is so dirty and dusty. They don't even come and clean your room if you ask them. The quilt which was kept in the room was stinking and so we asked them to bring a fresh one but they didn't even get it. 4)The food is so damn horrible. They tell they have a kitchen but get it from different place each day and it's so cold by the time it reaches you. And it looks like they get it from some cheap local vendor but charge you a bomb. When you tell the owner he is not even bothered. 5) We were told breakfast is free and they don't even serve you proper breakfast. The food is stale with so much oil. The food is so unhealthy. THEY BLAME IT ON THE HOTEL STAFF BUT I FEEL THE OWNER AND THE MANAGEMENT IS IRRESPONSIBLE AND CARELESS. WHEN THE MANAGEMENT IS SO IRRESPONSIBLE IT IS OBVIOUS THE STAFF ALSO BEHAVES THE SAME.

It is a beautiful place for relaxing. Nice construction of cottages, spacious. They do not have in-house kitchen, can prepare coffee & tea, can organize room delivery of food based on a limited menue. Do not expect high quality of services and bug free cottages as they are located on the edge of a forest. Even though you are nearby Pilikula attractions, you need to park outside to visit Pilikula or need take long walk.

This is one of best resorts in Mangalore with forest and hills all around. Some rooms have view of airport whr u can see clearly flights takeoff and land. Their food is decent and staff are really good. Rooms and wash rooms are clean. Location is the best to take time away from busy life and relax.

Location was good and construction must have been good. But amenities , services and logistics arrangements are extremely poor. Cockroach in coffee, food served in packets, kitchen closed, dead stinking animals, absent housekeeping makes you regret choice. Ola / Über are not available.

I was given a cottage and it was at the picturesque location. For that matter the entire property is at a location surrounded by thick trees, bamboo garden, river, paddy fields, coconut farm. Cottage is well furnished, clean and spacious. Food delicious. Staff courteous.

To summarize: 1. We booked room via oyo app and had paid for it online 2. Hotel denied check in asking for Rs 1575 for the room and made us wait for around 1.5hrs due to the issue. 3. We finally decided that since we had travelled a lot and just wanted to relax, we paid Rs 1575 and check in by evening. 4. At the evening we realized that both ACs in our room weren't working. 5. On speaking to the manager, we realized that they were trying to cheat us by renting AC rooms without working air conditioner. 6. Manager spoke the owner infront of us in tulu language and was being very derogatory to the guests (luckily I knew tulu and have captured this on camera) 7. After an hour's waiting and arguing, he told he can do a favor to us by returning Rs 250 max during checkout. We had no choice but to agree since it was already 10pm 8. It was extremely humid and hot throughout the night even on keeping all doors and windows (did I mention lizard in the room?) 9. In the morning the manager denied the breakfast (included in our room tariff) to us because he is giving us Rs 250 and humiliated us in front of other guests. 10. I demanded to talk to owner and spoke to him over phone on loudspeaker (video captured). The owner also was really really rude on a different level. 11. They realized that we were capturing video by now and offered the breakfast and served the worst cold dosa I've ever had. 12. I believe they are used to cheating unmarried couples over there because such couples generally don't speak up and want to keep things discreet. Unfortunately for them, we demanded the amenities what we had paid for (twice, once onlone and second time by cash). 13. Only decent person was a female receptionist who had come in the morning and was polite and understanding but had no powers. I have multiple video recordings of how rude the manager and the owner were during our stay after we caught then cheating us. I shall post the same on youtube. Not at all recommended if you want peace of mind.

Not managed by Jungle lodges and resorts currently. Accommodation maintenance needs to be improved. Clumsy mirror, slippery bathroom to name a few. Food quality is ordinary. When brought to notice to the manager, he promptly changed the room for us. However, cottages offer a panoramic view of river Gurupura in the foreground and Mangaluru's Bajpe airport in the backdrop.

Room Tip: Cottage-1 has by far best balcony view. Check room cleanliness if you go with a baby or a toddler.

I stayed here for a night and had terrible experience. First of all, it is no more a jungle lodge (JLR). It comes under Vranda hotels now. 1, I checked in on Dec 3 and then found out that AC is not getting ON. They keep on checking for a hour and then got a different remote with which it started working. 2. Room was very dirty and requested them to clean it. Above 2 points should be checked before handing over key itself. It really irritates when you travel with a baby. Now comes the most horrible part. 3. They do not have a restaurant. Means Lunch and dinner will not be served. You have to go out 12 KMs away to get the food. on request they may get you from outside. 4. At night I asked them, what will be there for breakfast as breakfast is complementary. They said idly, wada and banana bhajji. I got happy as my 1.9 year toddler can eat idly. Morning there was nothing else then banana bhajji. I dont have any words here to describe our situation. There was a lady cook who brought Dosa for her lunch. She gave one dosa to my baby which he happily ate and satisfied. Very thankful to that lady.

Had a lovely stay with my friends with great hospitality and delicious food. The Manager of the resort showed great concern whenever we needed anything and all the activities were followed with great fun and on time. Highly recommended.
