Stayed there during my visit. Wouldn't call it the worst, but not the best either. Bed covers weren't clean, roaches in the toilet, unclean broken toilet, found beer bottles on the window sill even though they claim this hotel is alcohol free. Atleast the staff were mannered. Not recommended for solo female travellers if you're very particular about these things I've mentioned.
This property is bang opposite the city centre mall, the happening spot of mangaluru. Mangaluru central railway station is just 10 minutes ride by auto rickshaw, which is another plus point. We stayed in a standard room, studio type, on the 4th floor, for one night. Room was spacious and airy. A.c worked fine, but not the tea maker. Bathroom needs urgent renovation. One doesn't expect stained commode and very basic bathroom accessories in this type of property. No in-house restaurant, not even tea was available. So we explored near-by eatiries and came across this gem next door,'Udupi cafe'. Excellent vegetarian dishes at unbelievable price. While in mangaluru, have at least one meal here. And as for the hotel, it's o.k for overnight stay. Otherwise there are better options nearby.…
Wow amazing location for stay ..centre of the city.. Hotel was old but good, staffs are so friendly.... i will sure stay next time also....😊😊 Breakfast is amazing. ... better to stay couples and families
I visited the Sai Palace Navratna hotel in Mangalore on 20th October 2019 and would like to say that this was the worst experience. The restaurant informed me that there is a waiting time of 15 minutes. But after repeated requests, and frequently checking with them for 45 minutes, they didn’t offer the requested place and even had the arrogance to tell us to wait another 15 minutes. Needless to say, I left the place because I didn’t want to make my family wait an hour, that too without any assurance of getting the seating.
Normally , i think twice to write negative review. I use to stay in this hotel in early 90s to mid 90s... nothing has changed except the RENTALS .. Same old TV, Beds, lot of small cockroaches move all around the room... Even my kids , who travelled to very few places, didn't liked the place. Complimentary breakfast was just made for us , just an Idly & Mangalore bun( as in booked thru online with this term). I found frontdesk staff are not WARM ...You know what i mean.. as a customer , we want feel like we are welcomed to their hotel, which was missing. Building is great..location is great , lobby looks great.. Management should seriously think about their business, there are lots of other hotel in the vicinity.
Stay: 8th November 2016 to 9th November 2016 Booking: Direct Review: Value for Money: Booked directly at the hotel for INR 2,300/- for a night (amidst the demonetisation scare). The room was on the sixth floor of the building which apparently is the 3rd floor (I am as confused as you are!) the room was mall facing. Service Quality: Average. The hotel is sparsely staffed and service can take some time. Food & Drink: Being located opposite a mall has its advantages, you can get a fill of your foodie pangs with all the options that are available. The hotel has a restaurant on the roof though we didn't try it. Location: The mall (I might be sounding like a broken record here) what else do you want. Also there's a Ideal Cafe two blocs away and the food there is recommended. Amenities: No WI-FI, no hot water (sad state of affairs). Cleanliness: The rooms are are ok.…
Stayed with family a week ago. Hotel is centrally located. Room and bathroom were both large, but furniture and fittings were old, requiring maintenance. Hot water supply is supposed to be only in the mornings. Luckily, room boys delivered hot water in buckets when we reached in the afternoon. We could not get hot water next day morning; we were told "hot water got over, as all rooms are fully occupied". Has a pantry on one of the floors. When we ordered soup, were told "sorry, cook has left early due to ongoing festival". But other food items ordered were supplied and was ok. Staff were courteous. Overall, room and service may be considered just ok for the price.
We stayed in this hotel mid August 2016 .The property is centrally located in Mangalore with easy access to shopping malls and multi cuisine restaurants .The tariff is reasonable . Rooms are large but not well maintained .They had a fusty, musty smell and the upholstery was not clean .The restaurant does not open until 8AM and if you an early riser ,used to a morning cuppa coffee ,you will be disappointed .Hope the management steps in to refurbish the property and provide better services and amenities for their guests
just 10 mins away from the railway station this hotel is decently good for the budget travellers- though they do not have any extra frills and the hotel needs a lot of renovation- the rooms are good and spacious but services are not utro the mark but whatever you demand the staff is good and attentive and they solve your demands to the best of their knowledge as they are not professionally trained- however before you check in pls make sure you see the rooms allotted to you and all the amenities are in place and especially the A/C and hot water and TV is all working- but the location is perfect as the city center mall is band opposite, the Janta delux restaurant and the Ideal cafe are all in the close vicinity
There were cockroaches roaming around freely in the room and in the corridor as well. Needs professionals to run the hotel well. This property is located just opposite the City Centre Mall in prime location of Mangalore from where one can have access to most of the happening locations.
