One of the worst & 3rd class management i have ever came across. These Hotel management has no humanity at all. They prefer money above humanity. I had a confirmed booking with this hotel for 31st Dec at the end of the November 2021 over Goibibo. Suddenly i got a call on 29th Dec saying your stay is not confirmed. This was ridiculous from these people & they canceled it even without giving me a call. They say Some stupid email they had sent after 20days after booking, but in no email through Goibibo even in app it was showing confirmed till last moment. But to my surprise the room at the same hotel was available at double rate on 31st night. This proves all. When i raised the complaint with Goibibo, they arranged a stay in other hotel in the city. But this Hermit Crab apartment guys took my mental peace for a day. They ca do anything for money. Do not book ur stays here.

I booked a taxi through the hotel and the charges were too much when asked for the breakup I realized They have charged PARKING & TOLL TAX THREE TIMES in my bill. Hotel management said they charge nothing then said they charge Rs 400 over the bill but it was over Rs 1000. I have asked the explanation many times but they never responded.they gave two breakup . Then I called the AMS tour & travel from where they booked and SHOCKED THAT I WAS CHARGED ALMOST DOUBLE . Dont book from hotel as they said they charge the same to all the guest. Book from AMS tour and Travels where they get the taxi. About hotel the location is good but too far away cabs refuse to come from railway station. You can see in the hotel confirmation voucher screen shot attached it is not studio it is just a hotel room with 15X 15 single room. When asked where is sitting area hotel management took me out of the room and shown a place. Washing machine out side, iron outside so don't expect much by the voucher it is misleading. Internet only in reception area. And they don't keep crab in the stock. We paid for complimentary breakfast were surprised no one was there at that time we have to call them to inform then only it was cooked and served. Never stay again in such hotel.

After landing in Mangalore, we started our journey from station to Hermit crab.We had our own arguments and assumptions about the place! But once we reached and checked into our room, there was absolute silence!Hurray! It was more like home-warm, comfortable , neat and cosy. The team is very hospitable and they go that extra mile to make the guests happy. My review would nt be complete without the mention of the food served in Hermit crab. Its fresh, authentic and tasty Manglorean cuisine. They also cook as per the guests requirements too.Jus dont miss their sea food preparations.Kudos to the team, who made our stay memorable!A must go place!

I was on a vacation with my family and friends. We were 15 of us including children. Whilst the property is good at the hotel the villa which they gave us was unhygienic. Their hospitality is the worst. The staff just does not care for the customers. We had booked the place well in advance and ironically were their only patrons at that time. At the time of booking they shared a menu with ys to cjose from. Upon reaching there is when we realised their kitchen is non functional. So even if you order something as simple as a tea they get it feom somewhere else which takes them hours to source. On our first night they served us food that was stale. That was just the beginning of the sordid tale. The next day the breakfast served was cold inspite of them having warmers to keep thw food warm. They just dint feel that guests may need warm food. The eater kept in the dispenser had insects and they dint care that we were travwlling with children. In the night they would switch off the lifts so of theres any old person or children with you everyone needs to take the stairs. I can go on and on about their poor service. Dont go to this place unless you want to waste your money and spoil your vacation.

I stayed at hermit crab for 2 nights with friends. The apartments are spacious and clean. Mine had a small balcony with views to the sea. Facilities are good with a lovely roof terrace... the breeze blows in from the sea and there are places to sit and enjoy the peace and beauty of the place. We ate our meals up here. Staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble....Dhev personally booked a train ticket for me. The food is excellent and we ate there for all our meals (which is good as there’s nothin else nearby - you’d have to get an auto into town). The beach is stunning.... pretty much deserted except for some local fishermen. There’s an ice cream auto by the huge rocky outcrop and the sea is wonderful for swimming (if you’re a strong swimmer). A few minor disappointments.... the WiFi which was very temperamental and didn’t reach my room. There was a kettle, tea, coffee etc in the room but no cups! This was quickly remedied and some were brought up. Also the bedside lamp didn’t work (no light bulb!). But all in all I’d recommend this place for a quiet out of the way stay. We took a taxi on to subramahnya and the hotel organised this for us.

Basic hotel, at a great location. 500m from the Hermit beach in Someshwar (close to Mangalore). The sea is rough here. However, quite calm & less populated, quite clean as well. Very close to the Someshwar temple. Rooms: Very few rooms are sea facing. Rooms seemed clean. The staff was kind enough to offer us 2 different rooms & choose. The hotel seemed pretty empty. We chose the loft room. Yes, it is a little inconvenient as you have to climb the last spiraling stairs. The staff is happy to carry your luggage up there though. The views are terrific though - very airy & great light. The houses nearby are not more than 1-2 storied & hence gives you a great view of nearby places in all directions. Bathroom was good & spacious. Clean, had running hot water all the time. No issues with that. Lot of mosquitoes in the night though (we preferred to keep the loft windows open). Should ideally provide a good mosquito repellent in the room. The barking street dogs also compromised the sleep quality (nothing that the hotel can do about it). This hotel is in a small village locality. There were no restaurants nearby. The biggest disappointment of this place was the food. We had taken the breakfast + dinner package from MMT. The hotel was small & sparsely populated. Hence, there is no buffet. You have to keep reminding the staff of the package & ask them (ideally, the staff should tell you whats included). When asked about the meals, they seemed confused. For both breakfast & dinner we were asked what we would like to have. The portions were very limited. For dinner, when we asked for more & were okay to pay extra, the person serving mentioned they cannot get us more. The veggie we ordered clearly tasted like a ready to eat packaged one. Since there are no visitors at the restaurant, its almost dead & cooks only very limited for the guests on the property. Given the location & the ambiance of the restaurant (its as lovely as in the pics), it was a real disappointment. Since there are no other options as well nearby to eat, the restaurant lets the experience here down totally. Else, the staff was prompt & courteous. It seemed like a very new place & the interiors were tastefully done. Overall, for a budget hotel, if you can get by the food & manage it, it seemed like a good place. All the best to the team & hope they are able to do justice to this lovely place.

The staff there are really great. Very warm and friendly. If you are travelling with small children and Sr. citizens, stick to 1st or 2nd floor only. the 3rd floor rooms are actually on the roof top so to access that you need to climb the spiral steps. Food is really sad. We had to eat cold dinner and a breakfast that never came on time so had to cancel the order.

Its a hotel situated close to someshwar beach which is 0.5km away. Closest seashore is just 200m from the hotel. We stayed in deluxe room. Amenities provided were delighter but we didnt make use of it as we were not aware of it while booking. Microwave oven, toaster, kettle, mini fridge were available. Bathroom was not so big but clean. They dont have a full fledged restaurant but they had kitchen where they will prepare food based on order. Food will take some time but hot and tasty. Quantity will not be sufficient so you have to order more based on your appetite Breakfast was complentary and you can order two dishes which we felt was not sufficient. they have many activity available but we didnt have time as we reached late in the evening and checked out in the morning. Can enjoy if you stay was longer. They have sufficient route marking on the way so it was easier for spotting the hotel.
