This is a scam run by a lady and her brother. Please don't book this Homestay and stay away from trouble. They duped me of 2000 bucks and when I reached the homestay it was totally deserted and scariest place to stay. Bathroom was broken, bathroom door latch was broken. Bedsheets and all were smelling really bad. Cottage was in a very pathetic condition, with help lot of mosquitoes. Road to reach the homestay is totally broken, you can not take hatchback car in there. Else, it will hurt your car. Please do not book and loose money. The owner was very rude. When I told him about my problem he simply said"this is what it is either stay or leave". At 6:00 pm we have to leave the place and book an emergency lodge in the city. Please save your money and do not book this scary homestay. Please do not visit with your family ever as it can be dangerous.

From where do I start? I keep travelling to hill stations very often for Photography and I am quiet familiar with how hotels work in India. When I read reviews of Nenapu Homestay and saw some photos published by them, I almost fell in love with the place. Finally, I decided to book it. We reached the place at 8.30PM instead of 6PM as we took a wrong and terrible road to Mallandur. But once we reached the homestay, all the hurdles were worth. It was cold outside with pin drop silence. We were breathing fresh air after long. We were welcomed by Adarsh who hosted this property. He is a true gentleman! Ravi cooks food for this place and all he has is pure magic. He cooks amazingly good according to our specifications and should be greatly appreciated. We were served with Chicken Pakodas as starter (So tasty that we finished off 4-5 bowls of it!). Mornings here are like being in paradise. Lush green landscapes with Birds calling all around you. Wow! In a era of concrete jungles, It is a privilege to witness such landscapes away from cities. We started off for a Bird Photography session around the premises and the results were pretty good. Sunbirds, Parakeets, Finches, Couple of Raptors and what not! You can find a lot of places to visit nearby. (Make sure you start early). You need to carry a BSNL sim as there is no other Network Coverage in the area (We enjoyed our scans and attempts to boost network using our phones) All together every moment we spent was so special and memorable. Seriously a home away from home. Will definitely refer this property to every one who wish to be close to nature. Cheers Nenapu Homestay!

Located about about 20km away from the bus stand this place is a scenic beauty surrounded by mountains and forest. The muddy road that leads to this place would make you experience of a small trek. Homestay has 3 rooms which can accommodate about 12 people at once and an extra room outside the house with additional accommodation of 6 more. Facilities offered here are television, speakers to plug your mobile and play music and a camp fire. The staff is friendly and so is the owner who runs this place and is available till 2am in the night for help. The only problem we had was the network on our phone which was not available at all so carry a bsnl sim with you.
