Okay, I have to be frank with this review - there are very few places in this region which are close to perfect in every aspect, and this is one of those.

Ashwini was very accommodative when we group of 3 couples wanted to book the place on a weekend, enquired about our needs and we made a token advance online. Very smooth booking process

The place is listed accurately on google maps and there is a good quality tar road all the way up to the gate of the property. Even low vehicles will have no trouble reaching this place. Parking facilities are adequate in the front porch / yard and safe.

The rooms are clean, spacious and airy with multiple windows overlooking the estates adjacent. The bathrooms are clean and well equipped with hot water through the day as needed, just need to inform the staff and they will start the firewood boiler.

All 3 cottages are adjacent to each other and overlook a small lawn where a bonfire is put out in the evening. The dining area opposite the cottages is also well equipped with all the necessities and even has some indoor games for folks to keep themselves busy.

Food was lip smackingly delicious in whatever they served us through the 3 meals we got to experience there. Ashwini is a really good chef and you have to be there to experience the food taste. She mostly serves local delicacies but also keeps enquiring with guests if we are comfortable with the items of the next meal and any changes needed, etc.

There are some nice coffee estate trails to explore around the Homestay and she knows some more local places to visit around there, for those who love exploring.

All in all, this place is highly recommended, I would give this place a 5/5 rating for exceeding expectations on almost everything and making it a flawless experience for us. Thanks Ashwini and team for the hospitality :) looking forward to visit your place again.

We visited as a family.
This place is amidst coffee plantation away from Chikmagalur town. The homestay is very comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. There was supply of hot water throughout the day.

The host needs special mention and appreciation for her attention to detail, attending to our every need in a timely way, preparing food with much care and attention. She planned the menu 3 days in advance. She was very hospitable and professional. She even packed some food while we were leaving.

She briefly gave us a walkthrough of the coffee plantation and showed us the coffee bushes, the different types of trees and the pepper creeper. She did this out of her way as she is generally occupied. They have a dog which was kind enough to accompany us in our coffee plantation for the walk, to and fro. It also fought with local dogs to protect its clients. It was such a nice dog.

Night time bon fire was good and warm.

Cons:
Because of the nature of the place, at night time there will be many flying insects coming into your room, so be careful to keep the door closed.
There were some power outages but the host has a generator to back up.
You won’t get a scenic view at this place but that is to a great extent offset by the comfortable stay and very good hospitality.
Voice of neighbour rooms can be heard. So people who love privacy may not find this very soothing.

Overall very nice place to stay for families and friends group and I would recommend this for sure to everyone.

This is one place which will remain etched in my mind forever. I along with my Family & Friends visited this homestay without much of an expectation but to have a pleasant stay. Without doubt one of the favorite homestays I stayed in our region.

Mrs. Ashwini the host has a magical hands in cooking. A smile on her face through out makes us feel more comfortable.

The highlight of the stay was mouthwatering cuisine which kept on surprising us for next two days. They make sure that the amount we have paid is fully justified. The rooms are clean & tidy with enough space. Toilets are big with 24 hrs hot water available. The living area is covered with beautiful plants and flowers and they have being maintained very well. Kids have a separate play area and also indoor games to get themselves busy.

I would love to go back again and again for their hospitality and variety of home cuisine served with love.

A group of 10 people - family and friends visited this homestay on 12th & 13 Sept.
The place is well maintained and clean and hygienic. The host Ms.Ashwini is a great cook and just request for authentic chikmagalur cuisine. The food is excellent.
Only drawback is no Mobile network except BSNL and Jio. Request the host to provide wifi. Also few mirror lights not working.
On the whole our stay was awesome and would visit the place again during summer.

We, family of 4 members, stayed in Coffee Valley homestay for 3 nights from 21st to 24th Oct.
I'm really lost for words to express our wonderful experience at Coffee Valley. Whole experience revolves around host Ashwini. She is a great soul and is passionate about managing complete show, from start to end with big smile.

It's well maintained homestay with cleanliness, vibrant flora and fauna, mouth watering homely food and hospitality that surpassed all our expectations.
Host Ashwini's love and passion for cooking can't go unnoticed. Number of dishes for breakfast and dinner are nothing short of what one can expect in high end hotel. Taste of each and every dish is awesome and have homely taste.
Sweet after dinner is cherry on cake. Having it near bonfire gave heavenly feeling.

My 6 years old son had cough. Mrs. Ashwini took extra care of him by preparing Kashaya (traditional home remedy with spices) each night for him. She provided her thermos bottle to us so that my younger son can sip hot water during our entire stay.
She guided us with places to visit and other informations.
It was homely feeling during entire stay.

I strongly recommend this homestay to have genuinely great experience. I'm eager to visit again to soak in the wonderful experience.

I stayed with family in the property over the last weekend, the experience was awesome, it was homely experience overall, food was one of the major highlight, have tasted varieties of malnad cuisines. Homestay owner Ashwini ma'am is the chief cook over here and prepared based on the individual choices. Each meal items was different and prepared freshly.

Even packed Lunch while went out for sightseeing, since the availability food in the area was not much.

The property is in calm and quite place, the rooms are bigger and enough bed space for the families. If you are looking for leisure place with good homely food, this is the ideal place...

We were 15 people who visited Coffee Valley Homestay for the New Year's Eve and the experience was wonderful. Started 2022 with a bang after a rough couple of years. The stay was great with spacious and spotless rooms. Everyone in our group really appreciated that for maintaining such a great Ambience. The host Ashwini was very welcoming. We never felt like an outsider who was just visiting any place. She made us feel comfortable throughout our stay and served us the most tastiest Malnad style food we ever had. The host always had a smile on her face and never said no for anything we asked, you hardly see that now a days. The food was very delicious with lots and lots of varieties served for every meal. She even made us play games and joined us in our celebration throughout our stay. Everyone in our group felt really happy with the hospitality given to us throughout. Each and everything was well organized and really presented well. We will definitely visit again in coming days and recommend others to do visit it if they are planning stay around Chikmagalur.😍😍😍

We stayed in Coffee Valley for Four Days in the second week of November 2021. It was an excellent and pleasant stay. The property owner Aswini mam, took good care of us. The highlight of the stay was timely food, refreshments (filter coffee), evening snacks and puddings. We enjoyed both veg and non-veg malnad style food. If you choose Coffee valley Homestay, you need not worry about food.
