Stayed for 3 nights with family. Excellent service by housekeeping and restaurant personnel. It was service with a smile. Buffet breakfast and dinner, part of the package, was very good. Lunch, we used to order over whatsapp when we were out. It was plulkas, subzi, soup, curd and rice. Served hot. And there was hi tea as part of the package. The room we were allocated on the first day, we were not satisfied (smell, small and slightly bigger room, additional toilet ...). The next day, we were immediately shifted to a normal single room. Special mention of the personnel who very quickly moved our luggage to the new room. Hamsalekha was quick to move the cot, make space for additional cot, get the new cot and lay the bed. He later found an ear ring which he promptly came and gave it to us. There are monkeys around. So, be careful. However on the day of our departure, we did not find any monkeys. Not sure what happened to them. The cab driver, referred by the resort, was very good, polite and on time. Room suggestions: - Take a close look at room no 114 before moving in - The back side rooms will be noisy during the camp fire - If you have people who cannot climb stairs, ask for a ground floor room A few suggestions to the management: - keep the volume of music down during the camp fire (7pm onwards) - if any guest plays loud music, request them to tune down - accept credit card payments - keep a upi scan for the tip box, instead of cash only - in every room, display the contact numbers of the restaurant, reception etc.

I fell prey to higly positive Google reviews of this place and booked it for my family , incl. 2 Sr. Citizens. Good place, if you are okay with: 1. Rooms of your family being on diff. floors- because ...No explanantion given ! This is despite specific instructions given. 2. Electricity tripping (only in your room) and manager ignoring requests to check it repeatedly. My mom couldn't take her oxygen cylinder due to this mess. We carried an oxygen cyl all the way -to not use it ! 3. Being not given a room that you like, because apparently other families have approved a room over video, but you didnt ask for one- because "trust" 4. Can't cancel one room ( even with charges) if you think you will need only two rooms and not the 3rd one once you arrive 5. Food bills might have wrong items or one whole buffet meal for 6 pax added to your name, which you never used. They dont do any verification at the time of meal, but just tell you the amount while checkout 6.Chapati/roti/ neer dosa all priced between Rs.80-90. Other items arent as expensive 7. The roads to the resort certainly arent smooth , but surely wasnt expected , because its in a remote area. So beware of what the sweet reviews claim. I have chosen to not write about the problems to crib, but to guide fellow guests to find ways to not face the same problems. After my family posted the review on Google, some other people wrote smashingly good reviews - looks like they have a good Online Reputation Mgmt team. I wish the resort and their guests all the best.

This was a quick outing for us in the month of Jan. The primary criteria of the place is the distance from Bangalore (4- 4.5hrs drive). We booked this through Agoda that included BF+Snacks+Stay came to ~15k for 2 night/ 3 day package. The resort is about 10kms from city centre, at a slight elevation. Its lovely drive to the resort and ~200m drive from main road to the resort was like a mini off road drive. You will enjoy this early morning drive. Try reaching here before noon. They have decent a parking space for around 10 cars. You will be greeted with a well-maintained swimming pool at the entrance, a cafeteria and the reception and to top it all you are welcomed by Mr.Rohit [incharge of the place] with a broad smile. He had called me in between to check on my arrival and if I had any trouble to reach. The check-in was smooth with a nice welcome drink. We had the poolside room. The room was Spacious and on checking in we realised that there is no AC in the room. I was bit anxious but the fact is that by night we had to switch off the fan also as the temperature was down to 12 degrees. Word of Caution - if you are going with elders, select a room on the ground floor that is closer to the reception. Else, they will have trouble going up and down. There are two swimming pools in the resort. One near our room and other one is near the Estate view rooms - very well maintained. Near the estate view rooms, there is a place for campfire in the nights and they also have a natural dance floor - Open air audi under the trees. They also have a speaker that can be connected to your phone so that you can be your own DJ. During our stay, there were families with kids, couples - all of them had a gala time grooving to some nice beats. Overall feedback on the resort + room --> Very nice, spacious, Good view. Food --> The food was really nice, just that don't use room service unless needed. No, not that they are bad they take time to get delivered as the kitchen is geared towards buffet cooking. They have really nice spread on the breakfast, some local delicacies like neer dose, sanas etc and other standard items like idli, bread, dosa, eggs to order etc were there. The dinner also had nice spread of chicken, fish and panner items. My suggestions to them is to stick to the local cuisines as they are good at it and if they can avoid the Chinese items would be be great. The highlight of the Breakfast and snack time is the locally brewed coffee. The coffee was simply superb. We did not try Lunch. Special mention to Mr. Rohit. He is the manager/ in-charge of the resort and he took very good care of all our needs. Rohit always had a smile, took care of the needs of every guest as though they were personal guest. An incident that really make me take note of his caliber was when a group a people checked in post the tea time almost say dinner time. A person from the group was getting inpatient when he got to know that the tea was over and dinner is getting arranged. I could see that the frustration was building up in that person about the tea and there comes Rohit who senses this discomfort of the person, he had a smile, explained that the tea time was over however he shall get tea arranged for him but need some 20 minutes. This calmed down the person and when finally the tea was a given there was a sense of happiness on that person's face. This timely act of Rohit, really made me think that the boy really wants people to be happy in his resort. Rohit is an asset to your resort. The serving staff also deserve a huge applause - always a smile on the face and happy to serve you. Some of the guys go out of their way to ensure that you as a customer don't frown. The only setback is the network connectivity. If you are going only for holiday, you can skip these lines and enjoy the stay. But, if you are planning to work from there, please keep in mind that broadband connectivity is good only at the reception. You do get signal in the room when you connect to wifi but the connectivity is very flaky. Overall a great place

It was a lazy Friday evening when we thought of driving to chikkamangaluru, from Bangalore. We booked The Spectrum Resort for the next day and left early in the morning to hit the property by 1.30. The lunch was served, and they had sufficient menu items in the lunch, which included Non-Veg and Veg. The taste of the food was also good, but the overall property experience was average. Although the location of the property was good, the overall construction was not that great. They had some sports equipment like Badminton and TT that can be enjoyed. They also put up Bonfires during the evenings. The hospitality was pretty average, and they should work on bringing more warmth to the overall experience of the guests. It seemed if people go here in closed groups, they can enjoy themselves more. So, I would strongly recommend the same. Location 3.5/5, Restaurant 3.5/5, Cleanliness 3.5/5, Service 3/5, Menu 3.5/5, Food Taste 3.5/5, Quantity 3/5, Value for Money 3.5/5

The resort is in Silver oak woods with coffee and pepper plantations. The view from room balcony was awesome, one can experience beautiful sunrise from the room itself (first floor room in front of the parking), and in-house food service was also good. All staff members were very helpful, special thanks to Rohit (property manager), Shaman (restaurant in-charge), and Sunil (housekeeping). They help people plan sightseeing nearby best places. Rohit even arranged pool-side cake cutting ceremony for our wedding anniversary with great music playing in background. Overall, it was an amazing ad memorable experience, will surely revisit this place.

It was big family trip with total 12 people and kids, all of them were happy about the services provided by the resort staff. All the staff members are courteous and helpful. Rooms and balcony are spacious. Bunch of rope activities to try and enjoy. Campfire provided for the group separately and also they arranged the music system on request. Food is good and tastier. Thanks for the staff for arranging the birthday cake on request as i mentioned kudus to the staff and there service. Cons: Hot water is a major concern, we did not get hot water and ended up using kettle, this needs to be fixed Rooms and washrooms need to be more clean, bit of average cleanliness Swimming pool is good for photo session only, the chlorine content is so high, will end up with burning eyes and itch skin, so be careful. This needs to be maintained Some rope activities bad in shape, needs to fixed. Food is good, but the items are limited in the buffet, management need to think on adding some more items to the menu
