I had the pleasure of staying at The Vintage Chikmagaluru recently, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The hosts (Charles and his team ) were extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Throughout my entire stay, I was treated with warmth and hospitality, which made it a truly memorable experience. In addition to being cozy, the rooms were thoughtfully decorated, creating a charming and individual setting. The delicious homemade breakfast, lunch, and dinner that was served every day was one of the highlights. It provided a taste of local flavors that I will cherish, and truly enhanced the experience as a whole. The hosts were likewise extremely accommodating in giving neighborhood suggestions, guaranteeing that I got to investigate the best of the area. The home stay true to its name is actually a home away from home. Mr charles baptist and his team, went out of their way to please us . The accommodation, ambience and home style food was spot on. Mr charles actually pampered us with his food suggestions and even helped us in our itinerary planning. We are definitely returning back to the vintage to soak in some nostalgia and to make more memories. Thank you charles and the team at the vintage for making our short vacay a memorable one! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Loved the place, food and service provided by Mr. Charles and his staff. The best part is that its pet friendly and our furry family member also loved her stay here ( everyone at Vintage welcomed her with love and smile). Rooms are big and have crisp and clean sheets, connected clean bathrooms. Location of homestay is just 10-15 mins from main town. Special mention to Mr. Charles for always asking our food preferences, checking up on us in case we required anything and suggesting places to visit. Also I would like to mention staff member Mr Shiv, very humble and polite person, he took care of not only us but also was kind to our driver. Shoutout to Brilliant chef and kitchen staff for delicious food - be it local cuisine or North Indian or Chinese ( my favorite was Babycorn Manchurian) Highly recommend The Vintage for Chikmagalur stay!!…

This is a great place as the Owner lives in the place and looks after the place, unlike other resorts where employed people manage. It makes a lot of difference. The place is neat and very charming. The food is excellent as the Kitchen staff cook after checking your tastes. They conducted Bar-be-queues which are worth waiting for. A minimum of a three-day stay is recommended to soak in the ambience.

We stayed as a family of 6 at the central villa. The villa has four rooms, all with attached bathrooms. There is a dining hall as well, a large hall and a good sit-out area. The rooms are very well equipped and neat. The bathrooms had all amenities without being extravagant. The villa is filled with artifacts like quaint old clocks, nicely selected books of multiple languages. If you are the type that needs WiFi on a holiday then you won’t have much to complain at all. The WiFi is good. I would encourage you to step out and have a walk in the property. There are many trees of various types and the orchard is big. There are many vegetable and fruit growing plants/shrubs as well. And flowering plants. Take it all in because it is rare to see. Time does stop still at the Vintage. Speaking of the food, it was truly exceptional on all days. We were asked every time and it was ensured that everything cooked met with our tastes and desire. To pick a few that especially hit the mark- the mango sambar, the uddina vada, the pepper chicken and the anjal fry Last but not least, this homestay is truly a labour of love and it’s creator is Mr. Charles Baptist. I would recommend that you catch some time with him ( he is always around anyways) and know about how he created this place. A very amiable host, he absolutely ensures that you feel at home. One has travelled across continents and multiple countries and often heard claims about making us feel at home. It’s easier said than done. But Charles does it. We had one of the best family holidays at The Vintage Chikmagalur home stay recently. The best part of this stay could be attributed to the fantastic service, amazing food and a great host Mr. Charles. All the 4 days we stayed here was made memorable due to various factors like the upkeep and clean maintenance of the property, hospitality of the Staff, Chef who ensures that dietary restrictions are completely taken care of and kindness of the host. It turned out to be like long lasting visit to a close friends’ place. Thanks for making it a fun filled holiday for our kids and all of us. Also another advantage is the location, since it’s about 15 minutes drive from the main town and hence the place is quiet and serene with green views all around.

If you are looking for a pet friendly, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and a quite place, then this is a great option for you to book for you next vacation. I had come in the month of June with my parents, my wife and our little pup, all of us had a wonderful time and will surely be planning to do it again. Mr. Charles was very warm and hospitable and even the help, Mani and Shivkumar were very prompt and helpful. The property is well maintained and our dog had a great time running around and hearing different sounds of nature. Thank you again Mr. Charles for a memorable trip.

Visited The Vintage with my family in May after much deliberation, and we are all glad that we did! We chose to travel with our furry one and never did we feel the lack of attention to every single family member from Charles and his expert staff. The food was exceptional to taste, and local. There was variety across all our meals, both veg and non-veg. The villa we stayed in was tidy, linens were crisp and had all the facilities we needed for our stay of 2 nights and 3 days. The location itself is very soothing to all senses although it is not in the middle of coffee estate (if that’s your thing). Charles was very forthcoming in suggesting places to go and places to avoid. We took up his suggestion for a local coffee shop and picked up some really good beans for later.
