4 of us made a last minute booking to this homestay and the host Amitha and her husband were very approachable. The rooms and restrooms were very spacious and clean. Food was the highlight as they have a good variety in their menu and its taste cannot be forgotten. The trek right outside the homestay is a great experience and I've done it twice now! When we got stuck due to rains, the hosts helped us with late check out and additional lunch with no extra cost. Would really recommend them for their hospitality, food and trek :)

Beautiful place, it's just situated at the foothills of Bandekallu Gudda, trekking spot, food was tasty and hygienic, hosts are very cooperative and caring, you can play many indoor games, you can visit muthodi safari it's 15km away from homestay

This is a real homestay...its Vijendra and Amita's home with the coffee plantation, the workers and the massive Bandekallu Gudda in the backdrop. Amitha and Vijendra and warm welcoming and guiding. Not to forget their son and the elegant dog Brownie. There will be campfire and there will be good food. And not to forget... Don't trust Google maps at all after reaching Chikmagalur. Just call Amitha. Otherwise you end up driving 35 kms just in vain.

Bandekallu Homestay is the best homestay in Chikmagalur, at the price offered. The food is excellent and the homestay owner wins you over with his hospitality. Great place if you are tight on budget and good for family.

Amitha and her family are great hosts. The best part is the food she prepares. Excellent malanad and karnataka recipes done to perfection. Her passion in cooking is evident from the taste of food. Our family just devoured every dish they made. Rooms are decent, ample car parking space. My kid enjoyed his time playing with their kids who were very friendly.
They have a jeep which takes you to top of a peak through bumpy rocks, its a 15 minute ride to the top , the view from there is great. You will like the ride if you are an offroader.
Its in between coffee plantation. Very calm.
Rooms could do with a table to keep your luggage. Toilets were clean, Try reaching them through landline since mobile signals are poor there.
