We visited Chikmangluru in October 2024 and decided to stay at Trivik Resorts.
Reservations: Sent an email to reservations for quotations and good a response in less than 24 hours. Since the time of booking, we had been in touch with Ms Vellangani from reservations. She was very prompt in responding to all emails (we exchanged multiple emails). She even arranged pickup from Bengaluru (in a third party cab). Full marks here. 5/5
Check-in: The check-in process was very smooth. Took less than 10 minutes. Shoaib explained the properly layout and briefed us about all in house activities. We were then escorted to our villa (mountain view) and were explained about all areas in the room. 5/5
The Villa: Magnificent. The Villa had a living room with a television, a huge balcony, a bedroom and a massive bathroom with his and hers basin, wet area for shower and a Jacuzzi. The rooms had all amenities you could ask for and things replaced everyday as needed. The villas are beautiful. Words can't describe how magnificent the view and the entire experience is. You have to experience it. 5/5
Coffee Shop: Beautiful view from the coffee Shop. Perhaps the best view your could get in the entire property. The open area in the coffee Shop has a stunning view. The coffee could have been complimentary though. 4/5
Restaurant: They have one multi cuisine restaurant that also hosts the buffet breakfast. Breakfast is nice. The spread is not very elaborate but everything is done very well. The options in dinner and lunch are somewhat limited but again everything is delicious. The restaurant staff particularly Gori, Posen and Esther and Mampi made the experience that much better. The view from the open seating area is simply breathtaking. 4.5/5
In house activities: Somewhat limited as compared to other similar resorts but very fun. We particularly enjoyed a round of Tambola, Karaoke and the magic shows. Due to unfavorable weather, we could not experience the nature walks and few other activities. 4.5/5
Kids play area: There is a decent kids play area Good enough to keep the kids occupied for a few hours. The area does not have Trivik staff engaging kids and for assistance like few other premium properties would have.4/5
Staff: Staff in general is very cordial and accommodating. No complaints whatsoever.
Special mention to Mr Sandesh, the naturalist who was constantly in touch with us during our stay and also conducted also hosted most in house activities. He also helped organize a sight seeing tour for one of the days during our stay. Really great guy and an asset to Trivik. 5/5
Pool Area: Pool is not temperature controlled. What a bummer. We hardly saw anybody using the beautiful infinity pool because of the weather. This is certainly an area for improvement. 3/5
Other considerations:
1. The roads inside the resort can get quite steep and are NOT stroller friendly so plan accordingly. They do give you rides to and from your villas. 2. Weather can get unpredictable, so carry some clothes to layer on. An umbrella might come in handy as well and our umbrella slot was always empty.
Overall stayingb at Trivik is an experience. This is one of the prettiest properties I've stayed at and would definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Trivik, about 5 kms to mullaingairi, and about 30 mnts driove fromm chokkamagalur, is in a coffee plantation on Rudragiri hills, overseeing the Bhadra Tiger Reserve range. The resort is having excellent cottages ( size wise, cleanliness and fuirnishing), which are very roomy, with big balocnies overseeing the Bhdra valley. Bathrooms are the highlights of the cottages, with Jacuzzi inside and huge windowpanes overlooking the lush green valley. Movement inside resort is supported by adequately run buggies (infact Boleros). Restaurant at Trivik, is the highlight of this resort overseeing the resort swimming pool which is like an infinity pool overseeing the bhadra tiger reserve valley. Restaurant offers very wide spread of food choice with chef able to make delicious multi cuisines. We were pampered with our choice of jain veg food with wide varieties and with authentic delicacy, for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Mr Vekat, his peers and his team of very service oriented curteous people, very experienced chef at restaurant made our vacation more relaxing and enjoyable. Mr Sandesh, Naturalist, at resort made the stay time highly explorable and created lot of interest to have Nature walk, trek to nearby shola ghrasslands, bird watching inside the coffee plantation and relaxing with interesting animal based documentaries. Resort managed activites like crockery skills, Magic show from professional, daily evening bonfire made the resort more likeable place for vacation. A 2 hrs time including travel, climbing about 500 steps and enjoying sunrise or sunset at Mullaingiri is the easiest nearby outdoor one can do. Babbudangiri and nearby waterfalls which take about 1/2 day touring is possible, but I personbally recommend the guests to enjoy their time in silence of Triviks environment. Recommend 3 nights stay to realise the tranquility at Trivik. Maybe, a bit expensive, but thats the price for the luxury enjoyed.

We recently had a two-day stay that left me speechless. It was a remarkable choice—a dreamy destination with impeccable cleanliness, quick and punctual service for all requests and queries, and top-notch quality in both food and ambiance. We were pleasantly surprised by a warm welcome from the hotel, which included a floral garland, a refreshing coffee drink, and fresh fruit. The staff guided us to our stunning rooms, which offered breathtaking views of nature and a charming vintage feel, and they thoughtfully explained the itinerary for our two-day stay
1) Every hotel staff member greeted us with a warm smile and was quick to offer assistance whenever needed.
2) Since the hotel was located on a hill and spanned a large area, jeeps were available for transportation within the property. While walking to the coffee shop, a jeep crossing our path kindly stopped to offer us a ride, which we greatly appreciated.
3) The maintenance and service for room cleaning, electrical needs, food, and other essentials were handled professionally and promptly, with no delays.
4) The management's commitment to ensuring our comfort was evident not only through their humble reassurances but also in the genuine care they provided in practice.
5) Clear and helpful guidance notes were placed throughout the property, making it easy to follow the necessary instructions.
6) Upon departure, we were given a thoughtful send-off, complete with a coffee package, and were warmly told to visit again.

Trivik Hotel & Resorts truly felt like a magical retreat from the moment we arrived. Nestled in a high-altitude location, the views from the Mountain View room were absolutely breathtaking – it’s hard to put into words just how spectacular it was. The weather, even at midday, was pleasantly cool and refreshing, which added to the overall charm of the stay. The highlight was definitely the jacuzzi with its panoramic views, making for a surreal and relaxing experience.
The privacy and serenity of the property are unparalleled, offering a peaceful escape from the world. We were lucky to enjoy a nature walk with the in-house naturalist, Prasanna, who shared fascinating insights into the local flora, fauna, and the region’s coffee production. His knowledge made the walk all the more enriching.
However, what truly made our stay exceptional was the hospitality of the staff. It was their warm and genuine service that made us extend our stay by an additional night, despite the property’s already impressive qualities. A special mention must be made of the hotel manager, Karthick. From the start, he reached out to us before our arrival, addressed all our requests, and made us feel welcome even before we got there. By the time we arrived, it felt like we were meeting an old friend. Rohit from the front office was equally fantastic – friendly and welcoming, he even took the time to give us a personal tour of the property and engage in lovely conversations.
A special mention must go to Mr. Venkat, the F&B Manager, who was truly a gem. He took the time to understand our food preferences and delivered exceptional meals, even going above and beyond to arrange something off the menu on request. The entire dining experience was personalized and delightful.
By the time we left, many of the staff felt like friends, and it was with a bittersweet feeling that we said goodbye. We felt like we were leaving a friend’s home rather than a hotel. This has undoubtedly been one of our best experiences to date, and we’ll definitely be returning to Trivik Hotel & Resorts in the future. Highly recommend!

Overall it's an Excellent service from Reception desk staffs, Resort Managers, & the other Service Staffs. The spacious rooms inside the resort villas facing the valley just hiding under the umbrella of Nature at the Karnataka's highest peak mountain range is mind boggling with birds chirping throughout the day that relaxes one's mind and at the same time with perfect silence otherwise. You name it, it's available in this Resort. Also lush green view till the horizon makes it so mesmerizing as an icing on the cake and perfect treat to our eyes.
This resort is nothing less than a paradise in today's routine hustle and bustle lifestyle. We as a family had a very relaxed stay and enjoyed my birthday celebration in Trivik as they made it even more special to me. Being a physically challenged person, I never felt that I am differently abled at any point of time during my stay there. Every staff there deserve not less than 5 star rating. Since, I can't mention all the names here due to professional reasons as the review may go much longer, I wish to register my very special thanks to Ms. Lovleen Kaur and Mr. Bhanu Kumar, the General Manager, who personally took efforts to make my stay comfortable as a physically challenged person and even visited our villa on my special day to wish me in person and also during the day of our departure.
Trivik Hotels & Resorts, in Mullayangiri is also unique because of its commitment to eco-friendly practices. From recycling to energy-saving measures, they prioritize environmental conservation without compromising comfort a bit.

Trivik Hotels & resort is an excellent holiday facility to spend with family at picturesque location of Chikmagalur hills . Went along with my family of 4 members. Hospitality of receiption staff and other supporting staff is very good, every one greeted and supported in same manner though out the stay of 3 nights. Property is around 38 acres including Main building, cottages and coffee plantation with in the estate. First day had great coffee plantation walk along with nice coffee. Second day went for 5km Morning walk where one of the staff prakash guided (Nice guy, he also covered previous day's coffee plantation tour as well), walk covered various view points and other estates covered.
Had great swimming and evening fire chat to relax. Last but not the least food served at the restaurant is one of the best in taste with hygienic environment. Restaurant staff as well were very friendly.
We had booked Large 1100 sqft garden suite with very big bed room, balcony, dressing and big bathroom and many other facilities in cottage. Had great relaxation time with jacuzzi which is part of each room.
Definitely will find time again to visit Trivik Resort.

A Detailed Review of Our Wonderful Stay at Trivik Resorts, Chikmagalur
Traveling with kids in India can be quite challenging, especially when the hotel is not family-friendly. A poorly planned stay can quickly turn a holiday into a stressful experience. Keeping this in mind, we chose Trivik Resorts, Chikmagalur, and we are so glad we did!
Resort & Location Trivik Resorts offers a sprawling property with a truly unique location, perched amidst the lush greenery of the Western Ghats. The breathtaking views from the resort are nothing short of spectacular, providing a perfect retreat for nature lovers. The surroundings are serene, making it an ideal getaway for families looking to unwind and reconnect with nature.
Activities & Kid-Friendly Amenities One of the highlights of our stay was how child-friendly the resort is. Our kids had a fantastic time enjoying a range of activities, including:
Swimming pool & Jacuzzi – A fun and relaxing way to spend the afternoons. Kids' play area – Engaging and well-maintained, keeping them entertained. Wildlife documentary screening – The resort arranged a large-screen viewing of a documentary on Karnataka’s wildlife, which was both entertaining and educational. Food & Hospitality The food at Trivik Resorts was excellent, with a variety of delicious options that catered to all palates. Every meal was a treat, and the flavors truly enhanced our experience. The staff at the resort were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist. A special mention goes to Lovleen, one of the sales executives at Trivik, whose hospitality truly stood out. She helped us resolve a minor issue during the booking process and went out of her way to accommodate our additional requests during our stay. Her friendly and professional approach made a significant difference in our experience.
Travel & Accessibility The journey from Bangalore (Whitefield) to Trivik Resorts took approximately 5.5 hours:
4.5 hours to Chikmagalur 1 additional hour from the plains to Trivik via the hills We visited in March, and the weather was perfect, with temperatures around 25°C, making it a comfortable and pleasant trip.
Final Thoughts Our stay at Trivik Resorts was nothing short of amazing. The combination of stunning views, spacious rooms, delicious food, and numerous activities made it a truly memorable experience for our family. If you're looking for a luxurious, family-friendly retreat in Chikmagalur, Trivik is an excellent choice.

One of the best holidays me and my family had. The location of the resort, up in the mountains, is true delight for anyone seeking a serene holiday. The room and facilities are top notch. Icing on the cake is the excellent staff they have, ever helpful and courteous.
My family, including 2 kids, visited in the last week of March’24. We had the Mountain Suite, extremely spacious, tastefully decorated and having some of the most stunning views of the mountains and valley. The jacuzzi in the bathroom is one of the highlights of the room.
The front desk was always helpful and special mention to Sunitha, Jishnu and Karthik for all assistance and tour guidance provided.
Sandesh is one guy who made this special holiday even more special. His morning nature trail was a great experience and should never be missed by any guest. He took special attention to entertain all the guests.
Santosh, Venkat and their team at Arabica Restaurant provided the best service, taking special care to meet our 3 year old’s needs. Manohar at Robusta Bar is genius mixologist. You need to try some of his signature cocktails. Kudos to the F&B department….every meal was delicious.
The Valley view Coffee shop is another highlight. The stunning natural backdrop and a hot coffee…with wonderful sunsets…what more do you want!!!
The pool, kids play area, games room…kept us entertained during our stay. Well maintained.
This resort and its staff gave us one of our best times to cherish.
We would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a serene experience.
Definitely will visit again.

Trust me when I say they are underselling what they offer.
This resort amidst the private coffee estate privides view of lush green mountains from their luxury rooms and from infinity pool.
The rooms are superclean, spacious and offer a walk in closet, balcony, bathroom with a view, and a seating area.
The property offers several treks and trails and even have pre tailored packages for sightseeing nearby in case you arrive by your own vehicle and dont want to drive any more.
Cherry on the top is their pricing for the aminities and food which is similar to what you may get in bangalore, easy on pocket, telling they dont want to rip you off.
A few suggestions for improvement 1. Infinity Pool is not heated, it would be a nice addition. 2. The diner closes at 10:30, what to eat if we are hungary after that? Some packaged snacks or a vending machine would be nice. 3. The bathroom gets wet if we use jaccuzzi, i think the door of the cabin should be on the side of jaccuzi. 4 need more open air seats, can offer some snacks near coffee shop to eat with a view.
