Detailed Reviews
I'm an Australian man travelling solo in India for a couple of weeks. My first stop was Bangalore and Hotel Swagath. I read the great reviews beforehand and booked 4 nights. I was actually expecting the reviews to maybe be slightly 'fake' or exaggerated, but I was very happy to see they are not.
The room was exactly as in the photographs. They are cleaned every day with pride. I booked a room with A/C but didn't need it because I was able to open the window instead for fresh air, much better!
The staff were the best bit about my stay, they are very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed lengthy conversations with the evening staff. They were always keen to hear what I visited in Bangalore during the day, and of course what I ate. The morning/day staff were just as helpful.
Despite other reviews I read, I thought the food in the restaurant was great. I enjoyed idly and dosa every morning for breakfast, finished with coffee :)
The location of the hotel is great too. Chickpet/Balepet area is vibrant and very interesting. I visited MG Road and am glad I didn't choose to stay there. The hotel is close to the Metro which is convenient. If arriving late at night from the airport like I did (2am), don't worry if the hotel is dark, it is open. Just knock on the front door and staff will answer immediately.
Thank you to all the staff at Hotel Swagath - and the restaurant staff - for making me feel comfortable during my stay. After long days of walking all around the city I often felt like I was coming home when I arrived back at the hotel.

I stayed here for 1 day with my family. Spacious room9/10, washroom 9/10 , food 7/10. It will be good if I get free breakfast; of course, I paid 4.2k for 4 adults! The area was not so good but it's near the Majestic metro (Walkable). there are so many shops around the hotel, nearby temple is there.

Stayed at Rm 202. Quiet. Western style toilet. English speaking friendly staff.
Hot yummy veg breakfast at attached Restaurant.
Their veg thali (1$) is fantastic and filling. Tasted better than 5 Starred places.
24 Hour laundry services available.
The front desk is manned by experienced staff 24 Hours.
Always get bottled water. Had no tummy issues.
Missed the microwave, mini fridge, and Iron in the Rooms.

This is clean and neat family hotel with attached Restaurant serving South Indian and North Indian cuisine. House keeping is good and facilities like AC / Geyser etc are very functional. For the price they charged it was value for money experience. 24 hrs check in & out
We had a very comfortable stay. Ours was indeed a repeat visit after 25 yrs. We did the repeat visit because our first visit back then we had a very pleasant memories of our stay at this hotel.
Close to Majestic rly station. Easy access to metro / Bus Terminus / Rly station. Tourists and transit visitors will like this place for ease of convenience the hotel offers.
Approach road to the hotel will be thru a narrow by-lane which is the only downside. Other wise it is a good value for money !!

Its my second visit. When I have comparing with last visit, I am little upset. Because there were no wifi in the room and even in lobby. When I am checked in they have given a room which was not up to the mark. But on request they given a good room which I had stayed before. But the room was not properly made. There were no waste bins & Towels, Stain on Duet, Hair on Bed, Towels which they given were stinking. The roads to the hotel from the Police commissionerate was very dirty with sewage water. Its very difficulty to walk. But Nice Service. Especially Mr.Mathaan (Room Boy/ House Man). He is an extra ordinary Guy. Thanks to Mathaan.

The staff was very good. They even gave complimentary breakfast for one day. The rooms were good enough and big. The breakfast also had a variety of items and they tasted good.
It's not that easily accessable but you'll find it by Google maps. It's close to the bus stand and uber/Ola / auto is easily available.
I had a pleasant stay here and it's moderately priced during vacations also.

Dear Mr Kiran
Pl book dbl room so your cousin can visit
Thank you
Maybe yes, its one of few hotels whose price is low for a much better room, but the location of the hotel is very bad and the outside area is very very disgusting. So if at all that matters to you, i would suggest not to book for that hotel
On other note I would not suggest this hotel for family and couples at all.
