I often stay in The Lalit Ashoka Bangalore because of the nature of my job.This hotel is located in a peaceful place surrounded by greenery and a golf course bang opposite it. One thing which makes this place comfortable and memorable is the staff and their customer handling skills.Entire staff is very humble and generous.The very moment you step into the hotel for check in you get a very warm welcome by the Guest Service Executive (Nidhi,Anirudh,Abu and Gaurav) They have a very supportive kitchen staff(Soma, Atunu and Sandeep)who will make sure that the guests are satisfied with the kind of food they have ordered. Last but not the least the housekeeping team(Pawan and Vrindavan) which plays a major role in keeping the rooms up to the mark and properly sanatized specially in this pandemic time. Overall I could say that the entire staff here do their best to make sure that the guests stay is comfortable and memorable.

We were advised to book at City centric location by mgmt. Hence chose this hotel looking at all that greenery on internet photos. Overall it turned out to be amazing paradise. Gaurav was extremely helpful to offer a room with veiw and Ramu who made our stay covid free with sanitization twice a day. There is big lawn and greenery in the hotel which makes it unique from concrete abode in the Bangalore City.

an overnight stay in this hotel On the first night of a tour. Unfortunately, and through no fault of the Hotel, our long distance flight was delayed resulting in 24 hours without sleep. On arrival at the hotel I Was allocated a room in the hotel one floor below what sounds like a rave ! The entire room is reverberating with the sound of the bass and the noise is deafening.
I understood that this celebration was to finish at 11.30 pm and stoically put up with the sound of special effects, drumming and ear damaging noise levels until this time before contacting reception where I was informed this noise, which was by now actually worsening, was due to end past midnight. The delightful night staff offered me a quieter room which would have necessitated me getting dressed and removing all my luggage by which time the infernal racket would have surely ceased. I declined but could not understand why a hotel would knowingly put long distance travellers direct beneath a celebration intent on permanently damaging the tympanic membrane of anyone in the vicinity.
Surely, if a quieter room was available why wasn’t some consideration given to other paying guests to be offered one of them for an overnight stay ? Delightful staff, ever helpful, but if you wish to stay here and expect to sleep ASK for a quiet room otherwise you may have the same misfortune as myself !! In summary, and very importantly, I am significantly hearing impaired and wear aids which I do not sleep in - yes, such was the noise level !!!

I, in the past had very pleasant stay at The Lalit Kolkata, Delhi, Goa, Mumbai hence was very confident of a comfortable and a memorable stay. When I Checked-In on Thursday the 25th of Aug, I requested for a room at a higher floor. I was denied the same by Mr. Rakib at the reception saying “all rooms are occupied at the higher floors”. I told him that my colleagues are yet to check-in, hence rooms would be available. The gentleman shamelessly lied to me saying the rooms are vacant on 2nd floor only. Next day morning my colleague, met me at the breakfast, he checked in at mid night and was on the 8th floor. The night was also not comfortable, I wanted to have tea, found Kettle missing, after 3 reminders and wait of 45 minutes, got the kettle and other things. Had soup, the staff wanted me to pay for the same immediately as if I would run away with his 600/- without paying. Next day was forced to get up early because the curtains were so poor and transparent that sunlight was right on my face. At night could not sleep before 1 AM because of the DG & Disco which was so loud and disturbing in the entire hotel campus. Breakfast was another disaster, the “masala” was missing, could not get a Masala Dosa, was forced to eat plain dosa after a wait of 20 min. Had to struggle for cutlery, actually picked from the next table because even after asking 3 staff, they did not bother to help. Tea came after another 15min. By now I had realised that the hotel is running short of staff. Lunch, which was a buffet lunch was served cold as the burners below the serving containers were not burning. Tea in the evening was a cold tea and so was the coffee. The staff serving the same was untrained, was not understanding, neither Hindi not English and was picking up the cup to pour tea coffee not by the handle. Washroom which is on the left side of the reception was stinking and the clearer was standing and wasting time even when I pointed out. This was the only washroom available and was far from the area where we had the seminar. Hence all delegates had to walk from the seminar venue to this only restroom, which was again a sort of punishment for all. Over all a very poor 2 days stay at The Lalit Ashok, next time would stay at a Dharamshala or a waiting room at the railway station but never to this hotel. The top management of The Lalit Group must see what is happening if they want to save their name and goodwill.

Thank goodness we stayed only one night. Although the reception upon arrival was warm and friendly and the quality of food good, we experienced a number of issues which could easily have been avoided. Firstly bar and restaurant service. This was appallingly slow - we waited more than 45 mins. for very straight forward drinks ordered, from a drinks list that was depleted, and when confronted, both waiters and managers responded with blank faces. Secondly, the soundproofing of the room was dreadful as we could clearly hear noise from both rooms next door and above, plus noise from the corridor also. And there was noisy construction work for the Holi festivities was being carried out on the lawn beneath our window at 1am. Lastly, upon paying the bill, although I made it clear I wanted the transaction in Rupees, I was charged in £ sterling at their own poor exchange rate. Such a shame, as a little thought with good management could easily have solved these problems.

‘Tis the season to be joyful and if you are dreaming a classy and luxury staycation without an activity packed weekend, but a weekend to just take a chill pill and relax, to just let go off everyday busy life and stay at peace, then all that you gotta do is drive down to The Lalit Ashok Bangalore and rest at the lap of nature. They say that a good weekend becomes an absolutely fabulous one when your staycation is an experience in itself and that’s what The Lalit Bangalore does to you. A fabulous as well as an idyllic experience that will stay in your heart forever is what Lalit aims at.
While the location itself is gracefully wrapped by lush greeneries and earns it a 10/10, the wow factor for me began from the moment I set my foot in the hotels cosy and welcoming lobby and then the personalised spectacular welcome gesture which had an edible white chocolate photo frame of my pic, that literally made me feel at the top of the world. This got extended to me indulging in the authentic North Indian delicacies at Baluchi, a relaxing spa, a laid out dinner with my loved ones and continued with me sinking into the feathery soft plush bed that gave me a comforting caress. With all this, I only felt that there’s a magical allure associated with this very old yet chic property. During this entire experience, all that my heart said was, this hotel deserves to be added even in your wish list and get ticked peeps. I really loved how the interiors are studded with paintings and furnishings that reflects the old world charm and also the magnificent monk statue that you will come across on the lobby will leave you awestruck.
If you are also craving to lounge in the peaceful company of swaying groves, have a nice heart to heart talk with your loved one, have breakfast/lunch overlooking the pool and listen to the birds chirp, The Lalit Ashok Bangalore offers you an experience like no other.

Bengaluru is a city infamous for its crawling traffic. Lalit Ashok's location in central Bengaluru, right next to the Golf course, in green environs, is a great bargain. Commuting to the Airport from this Hotel is very convenient, to top it all, not to mention , all the happening places within 20 minutes. The Hotel itself has a nice pool , a good gym overlooking the pool, green lawns all around, shuts out the urban chaos. The restaurants offer great variety and the service is equally good. The rooms offer good sleep quality.

I stayed here on Saturday night . It’s busy . Nightclub on roof top and pumping bar on ground floor so it’s not peaceful . Lalit is a luxury brand but with this old Ashok hotel it’s a bit disappointing. My room was full to say the least . On check in I paid for a late check out the following day 8 March . The receptionist didn’t tell me it would be even noisier with a Holi event in the gardens . He should have pre warned . However a big redeeming factor is, that when I checked out and mentioned this , my late check out fee was waived . We done Lalit . Two staff were great , my housekeeping boy and the bellboy who went out of his way to organise an ola when my Uber failed . Breakfast is good
