So many times in my daily life I send Blessing to All of You…
For me the most beautiful thing was observing
How does Life there look like,
It is so much easier to work on Balance Here…
With having this Perspective as well as
Seeing this Point of View in which
All Views come Together
In a One Piece of Harmony
Thank You Krishna!
Thank You, that I can see many Choices…
I saw your Moves and Actions
I heard Your Words and Your Voice
Now I am Living My Life Here
But I still Do Hear You

You woke up in our hearts and thoughts
Beautiful feeling of:
” I wish to know, I wish to try, I wish to do ”

All Shrimath’s Experience made that I have so much Energy
Energy that tells me to wake up everyday so early
To Practice, Practice and Practice
In any Form that I can
Energy, which helps to face everything, that comes
To be happy with weaknesses
To be happy with As It Is
It is all because my Heart Remember
Amazing Taste of India...
And my Indian Family there;)
Shiny Eyes of People I have met
Smiles and Joy of the Kids at school
Picture of Flowers around a House
Smell of Spices and Incenses
Little flames in a Forest after 6pm
What I could see only from a very Special Place
Up there…where I Lived…
Thank You for this Blessing!
I lived in the Place where
Knowledge was felt in the Air
In Smrithi’s Food in her Laugh
In Hema’s Smile and Kindliness
Generosity, Honor and Respect!

Or when I couldn’t get something because of language for example-
You were like a little bridge and huge magic helping hand.
You are present in my everyday practice I hear your instructions in my thoughts or I catch myself, when I use identical words that you used while guiding us.

I grew up in the USA. I witnessed the explosion of interest in yoga in here, and I casually took a class here or there.
My life had come to a point where I needed more than physical and health centered yoga. Without going into details, I had lived in the pitch-black dark night of the soul for many years. I got a glimmer of hope through indigenous plant medicine of the Amazon, and was advised by a dedicated master Yogi to go to India and learn Yoga.
There are many options when choosing an in-depth Yoga course. I looked into the typical TTCs at american yoga centers, 'resort' style immersions, and when I stumbled upon Shrimath Yoga's webpage, I was immediately drawn to this place; they seemed to honor Yoga as a life path and teachings grounded in a traditional lineage.
My experience at Shrimath Yoga was radically life changing. I didn't realize that at the time. But two months down the line, I feel like a different person- soul grounded in on Earth and spirit with wings. Yoga, as a complete lifelong endeavor, is what is taught at Shrimath. So they take care to address your personal concerns, disposition, etc. You won't get lost in the great numbers that usually pack other TTC intensives. The greatest attribute of the experience at Shrimath is the transmission of Yoga as a way of life: in addition to challenging daily asana practice, Shrimath is dedicated to teaching the psychological, cleansing, spiritual observances, withdrawal, awareness, concentration... you get the idea! And the truth is, if you want to go beyond the temporary 'yoga high' of asanas and launch your spirit into an everyday, lifelong path of greater happiness and health, you need all those things.
Krishna Prakash lives and breathes Yoga, as a total life path, and I am very grateful to be introduced to him and learn from him. He is very methodical and concerned for each seeker's understanding of the philosophical and procedural concepts presented during the course. Hema is welcoming, knowledgeable, and discerning at presenting the Asanas and Pranayama, guiding corrections, and helping you achieve greater awareness of your body and mind.
So after two months, I employ daily a variety of time-tested practices that give me confidence to tread forth in this mystery of life. I think that speaks to the completeness of teachings you will get if you go to Shrimath. Although it is only an introduction, it is designed in a way that you can continue self-study with confidence. I have gained unexpected interests in yoga psychology, through reflecting on yama and niyama, and implementing these observances in my life. Through going deep in Yoga Nidra, I'm removing my negative feedback loops of the past and re-imagining the grace of being-in-the-world. Japa meditation has evened out the emotional ups and downs I used to experience. Meditation has given me concentration and time awareness, as well as greater access to creative "flow", in my creative expression of Music; it is also a powerful embodied spirituality practice. Separating the true Self from thoughts and the swirling of the mind, I can be my own psychospiritual therapist, clearing negative blocks and inviting a beatific existence. So, in sum I'm incredibly thankful for Krishna and Hema's teachings.
Shrimath is very accessible from Bangalore, yet is set in an idyllic small farm in a village. Like the other reviews said, food is perfect for yoga and housing is extremely clean. The song of the birds and smell of foliage will boost your mornings, and the incense-fueled salutations to nature in the evening will smooth your transition into night.
Approach Yoga with an open mind and eagerness to learn, and you will download major inner technology upgrades. As per your disposition and application, these tools can change your life.

I attended the yoga teacher training course at Shrimath. The experience was fantastic and consisted of much more than deepening my yoga practice. Krishna and Hema are patient and insightful teachers and I learnt so much from them. The hospitality received from Smrithi and Shoba was so warm and welcoming. I felt at home and at peace in this wonderful environment and would recommend it to anyone. The tranquility and feel of the place is magical and very special. I will always be grateful I had the opportunity to visit. Thank you

Before my time at Shrimath I was already practicing Iyengar Yoga since two years and read quite a lot of spiritual books. Still I was kind of confused about so many terms like Karma, Pranayama, rebirth and so on. At the same time I wanted to learn ayurvedic cooking. Knowing I will be free in Bangalore for two weeks I was searching for an authentic experience to learn more, gain clearity about the roots of Yoga and its philosophy and learn ayurvedic cooking. So I found Shrimath. Since I have always been interested in the mystery of female nature I felt very lucky to be able to attend the shakti yoga course, which is a program specifically for women.
This course answered many questions I have always had about spirituality, regarding myself and brung a lot of light and clearity into my spiritual path.
The philosophy classes were highly individualized and unique, where I had a lot of opportunities to question many things. Krishna is a great teacher, whose teachings satisfied my intellectual and spiritual needs.
Smriti with her food and cooking classes and also Hema with her Hatha Yoga classes cared perfectly for my physical well being.
I enjoyed the experience so much to live in a real Indian village, with real Indian people, spending time with schoolkids and learn about the Indian tradition and way of living.
A great thanks to all of you, Krishna, Smriti, Hema, Shoba and Smritis wonderful mother. I wish you all the best for “Shrimath Yoga” and hope I can return to “the Yoga village” one day.

My experience at Shrimath Yoga was enriching and wholesome. I loved everything about the course - the content, the location, the accommodation, the food and most importantly the people. Krishna, Hema, Smriti and Shoba were an absolute delight - professional, knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. My time at Shrimath was exactly what I was looking for - an experience that challenged me physically and mentally. The best thing about the course is they do not have a 'one size fits all' approach. While ensuring the basic were taught, they catered to my individual need and my level of understanding. This helped me make the most of time there and enhanced my grasp of the subject of yoga. Highly recommended!

Shrimath is and will always be the begining of my spiritual life and my path in yoga. I had practised yoga before many times in many places, but only in Shrimath I realized the meaning of it. Is not only devoted, young, energizing Hema or wise and knowledgable Krishna, not to say tender Smriti and her delicious food, but everything else...The place, the nature, every tree and plant, the monkeys running around, the kids chanting mantras, the village nearby, the sky, the sunrise while we did our sun salutation... and the inexplicable vibe of peace and love that you get around. I am a person constantly looking for new experiences, but I would go back many times, because I know a trip to Shrimath is a trip to the heart of India, the heart of yoga and my own heart. I will always be thankful and truly wish others can enjoy the bless of being part of Shrimath once in their life, because it will stay forever in your soul.

Shrimath was the first place where I learnt yoga in its traditional way. I enjoyed every bit of my training program, be it the journey I had to take, which gave me time for some retrospection - to the spiritual aspects taught by KP. It taught me ways to deal with daily chores and to balance stress in my life, to observe and absorb different things around.
Hema and KP together are wonderful teachers who show their utmost patience while teaching each asanas and postures and guide you to learn them correctly, giving every individual a personal attention. I am happy that I spent one year of my life closely associated with Shrimath and learnt a lot with respect to yoga, meditation, spirituality, health, life ( not to forget some gyan about life and relations during the drive from railway station to the center :) )
Smriti is one wonderful host who cooks delicious food and we had to restrict our moha for more food, in order to be able to learn Yoga :)
Thank you all for the wonderful training, hospitality and life lessons provided during the stay, parikrama.

Shrimath is a nurturing, generous atmosphere. Hema is a natural teacher and a constant inspiration. She has passion and a sense of humor that creates an enjoyable and exciting environment to learn in. KP has taught me the importance of physical, intellectual and spiritual balance. His lectures are spiritually enlivening and intellectually stimulating, giving me a deeper understanding of our place within this ancient tradition as well as a roadmap to explore the essential question for the modern yogin: Where is the line between tradition and innovation?
Like many people, I came to yoga purely for physical reasons. But just as my relationship to the poses has evolved, so has my passion for the practice. At Shrimath I learned to step off the mat to explore other areas, such as meditation, chanting, philosophy and so much more. Thank-you to the entire Shrimath yoga family!

What you put in is what you get...I had an interesting 6 weeks at Shrimath and would recommend this place to anyone who wants to learn about themselves and their yogic path. I was able to deepen my practice to a new level and thanks to the great food and personal attention, it made my stay spiritually meaningful. The program was nice and we were able to take 3 trips around all together so it was a nice break from the routine. I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the final fire puja towards the end of my stay and it was hard to say goodbye to all. I wish the team all the best and that many more yogis/yoginis come and live this true ashram style experience. Thanks for the time together!

Shrimath yoga is very good for learning the whole yoga experience- postures, meditation, mantras, etc. But what other schools do not give you is the whole experience of living with a family in a village with very basic facilities. This yoga center is in a rural part of Karnataka, not far away from Bangalore. There is a village school attached to the center where the yoga students take turns in holding classes for the children. Some of the children from the village also do the yoga courses. Krishna, the yoga master is very knowledgeable. His wife Smriti, is also very learned and pampers the students with her culinary talents. Hema, the yoga teacher is unparalleled as an instructor. Above all, they treat the students as part of their own family and give them a lot of respect and love. I feel that I can go back to Arjunabittahalli anytime, as it is like a home to me. The conversations that we had and meditations we did gave us an insight into many of the basic truths about ourselves.
I am surprised that Shrimath is being classified as a "property". It is so much more than that. It is a centre of learning and personal growth.

Thanks Doctor for your kind review. Your experience in Medical field is the age of a few of us at Shrimath, yet your simplicity and willingness to learn inspired us. Thanks.
