My wife and I were invited to an Indian wedding of a friend in Bengaluru, so we chose to stay with the Leela palace. The hotel was an excellent choice. Our suite was very clean and the Royal Club access very pleasing. Furthermore, the breakfast/lunch/dinner buffet in the Citrus offered a broad variety of Indian food, which we really enjoyed. A big advantage was the hotel area and garden: This beautiful area provided a much better air than the outside of the hotel in Bengaluru. Massage in Spa was good (thanks, Jane!), with very clean facilities. The concierge staff, butler and lounge team helped with every request, to give us the best possible experience, and organized e.g. hindi language lessons and a meeting with a seller of high quality silk sarees. Additionally, we really enjoyed some interesting talks in the lounge and my wife looked gorgeous in her saree at the wedding thanks to the help she received from the ladies. Special thanks to Akash, Neha, Bhumika and Prerak! They made our stay truly wonderful. We wished to have had the chance for a longer stay this time, but we had only time for one week. However, two points could be better in our opinion: - The hotel car prices for transports are just too costly, even for a 5 star hotel in India (10-12 times the price of a regular taxi in Bengaluru) - Credit card payments were more complicated than usual compared with other luxury hotels. Instead of simply adding the additional costs to the blocked amount (and confirming that amount), they released the block and charged the full amount again, which was blocked than by the bank due to security reasons. I don't know whether this is the usual procedure in India, but for my experiences in Europe and other Asian countries the typical procedure was the first one mentioned (so in the end we had to use two credit cards). Nevertheless, we hope to return one day and can fully recommend this hotel for staying in Bengaluru.

Hotel's Favourite
Recently visited The Leela Palace for a staycation and it was the best. Set amidst lush green and perfectly landscaped gardens, it indeed is a palace. But what makes it even more special is the feeling you stay there. The architecture of the hotel is fascinating and it is a perfect getaway well within the city. It has the feel of a heritage stay and is the best for celebrating special occasions. The staff goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The interiors are beautiful and plush and the rooms are spacious with all modern amenities that you would need. The suites are huge with a living room and a grand bedroom with balconies that open up to a beautiful view. Our check-in was quick and really impressed to see how well they are managing covid protocols. Coming to the food, we dined at Citrus, Zen and Jamavar which is their iconic Indian restaurant. The breakfast buffet was quite exhaustive will dishes for all tastes. Lunch and dinner had multi cuisine dishes in Citrus. Zen is the oriental restaurant and highly recommend their dimsums and sushi. My personal favourite is Jamavar which serves the best Indian food in town. Our staycation was made even more special by the friendliness and service of the whole team. It's a very kid-friendly hotel and highly recommend it for family staycations.

After almost 3 years not having travelled to India due to the pandemic, back at the Leela. Still high quality hotel, service and staff. This time just for 2 nights, used the swimming pool, had dinner at Zen, brakfast at Citrus. From more than friendly check in, breakfast live stations, servicing the room. All there.

The head concierge Prerak was just amazing. His knowledge and ability to get reservations and last minute tours was fantastic, because of him we managed to explore another part of Bangalore i between work. The rooms are good, a bit musty smelling and the staff at the library bar need to be more attentive, but overall a great trip.
