After having flown for nearly 15 years I hung up my boots on flying as a Flight Attendant . I missed meeting new people and making friends terribly ... what do you know My Home now is open to everyone as a Bed and Breakfast. We love meeting , getting to know people from myriad cultures and walks of life . My extended family , as we like to call them , is growing by the day and we love every bit of it . Be a part of our home , feel free to lounge on the sofa with your feet up , dock your iPod on the sound dock , use my Bicycle to acquaint yourself with the neighborhood in short feel AT HOME :)Love and Wishes - Yamini
I moved to Villa Camelot from luxurous though so much impersonal 5star hotel. And was very happy with a change. I'm thankful to hosts and inhabitants for warm welcome and making me feel like a part of a happy family. Special thanks to Dhairya for funny ripostes which usually made my evenings and for relaxing Lego building, Raghu for picking me up to the office on a motorbike :) and for delicious breakfasts and dinners, especially the last one before my leave, Yamini for taking me to the shopping moll, for honest advice and for understanding when I didn't like anything. Thank you all for calm mornings with discussions over newspaper about daily India and local affairs - they made me feel like a part of local community. Thank you for uncounted number of teas and for that what I…

I can't say enough about Villa Camelot. Clean, comfortable, affordable, beautiful. Fast wi fi, hot showers, walking distance to shopping, resturants, markets, and parks. The best part however is the family that runs it. From the moment I arrived I felt the positive energy and warmth that is Yamini, Raghu, and Dhairya. They were not only extremely accommodating and helpful, but down to earth and always full of joy, laughter, and great conversation. Yamini helped me with everything, travel, currency exchange, health remedies, connections to people and places for my next stops and so much more. Raghu helped me with errands, and his cooking is absolutely to die for, delicious meals. Dhairya entertained with jokes and riddles, and even figured out the problems I was having on my…

Dear Jamie, A bit late in the day, however, we have been actively messaging back and forth. Thank you for the review, we know within our hearts we are meant to see you again. Your stay with us gave us the opportunity to peep in the invisible world of 'Magic', a rare opportunity one would get only if lucky to host a stage star who has worked with numerous great magicians! For the record, you broke no 'Magicians Code' (ha..ha..ha..), still, there was a lot of insight for the ordinary people like us! And oh yes...! We loved "Now You See Me-2" even better... :D !!! Abundance & Light, Yamini, Raghu & Dhairya and the Furries ( Buck says Woof!)

We just got back from a 7-nights stay at Villa Camelot in "Tulsi". We had arrived totally stressed and somewhat "dislocated" from life, but straight on arrival our host Yamini told us "don't worry, here at Villa Camelot you leave your heavy baggage behind and go back happy". Though initially sceptic, now I can confirm that she was absolutely right! After a long internet research I booked a 5* property in Whitefield, but my 6th sense told me to change to Villa Camelot due to the wonderful reviews and the Condé Nast Traveller award. Tulsi was air conditioned which I had insisted on at booking, but we didn't use the AC for the entire week. The weather was brilliant - warm during the day, and slightly cooler at night. We appreciated excellent free Wifi and the hot water shower!…

Travelling in South India in the main tourist season without any reservations can sometimes be challenging. By asking via email for a room we were just desperate and it was pure luck that we got a room 2 days before arrival. We could not have been any happier. We stayed for 4 nights. We got the friendliest and warmest welcome we have ever received in a guesthouse before. The guesthouse is well hidden and our rickshaw driver was a bit irritated, but he finally found it, Everything is super clean - in a way we had not experienced it before in India. I do not talk about "indian clenaliness". Even for the pickiest european traveller - this place is ultra clean. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom was huge and had plenty of hot water. There was enough space to put our stuff in a…

You will get something out of this place - whatever you are looking for. My husband and I stayed here with his parents a few months ago, and I think each of us would have written about a different highlight, but we all definitely have one. From the amazingly warm welcome to the very particular goodbye, Yamini, Ragu and Dhairya are just wonderful hosts, offering everything you could hope for in between - super hospitality, great humour, authentic insights about India and their place in it, delish home-cooked food, (this last is seriously excellent). All in all - you will gain a better understanding of India, they will love you for who you are - it's a win-win situation. I don't want to go into particulars because I think Yamini and Ragu make an effort to make each guest's…

We spent 3 nights at Villa Camelot in January at the start of our 2 month visit to India, followed by 1 last night at the end of our trip, in March. It couldn't have been a better beginning and ending to what was a truly fabulous 2 months spent travelling around Karnataka. This was largely because of the fabulous hospitality we received from our hosts, Yahmini, Raghuveer and their 8 year old son Dhairya. The house is very spacious and situated in a little oasis of calm in a suburb of Bangalore - Whitefield, which is about a 45 minute drive from the airport. Our room was really comfortable and quiet which meant we could get some much needed sleep in the middle of the day following the long flight from the UK. Yahmini and Raghu are so friendly and personable and a mine of…

Our trip to India was to explore our roots. Our family lived in Bangalore and it was a lifelong dream to walk the streets our parents and grandparents walked. Yamini,Raghu and Dhairya not only helped us with our research they came on the journey with us! Their hospitality and information about travelling around in India was invaluable. The food was amazing and they made us feel so welcome. When we left we were travelling around India some of us for 3 weeks and some for 3months and they gave us the confidence to really enjoy the places we visited. Nothing was too much trouble and we had so much fun with them. The rooms were spacious and very clean. I would recommend anyone visiting Bangalore to stay at Villa Camelot they would not be disappointed. And don't be concerned it is…

I spent five nights at Ville Camelot . Yamini, Raghu and Dhairya are a lovely family. They are perfect hosts and will do their utmost to make one's stay comfy and warm.No wonder their house is always full.Lots of long term Indian guests working for IT companies have elected this place as a substitute home !And sharing with them the evening meals Raghu concocts with expertise is real nice and informative to know a bit of Indian reality. The home-cooked food is plentiful and very tasty. Yamini even bought a bottle of Indian wine for me to taste.Thank you so much because when Kerala is no place to find wine easily ...She also took so much of her time to try to solve my Vodafone problem... The rooms are spacious and immaculate. A tip for foreigners: the town "centre" is rather far,…

We stayed at Villa Camelot for a week in January 2014 and from the outset it was a delight with the warmest welcome. The hosts Yamini and Raghu are lovely people around whom you feel immediately relaxed. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the breakfasts and evening meals delicious, home cooked to an incredibly high standard. Nothing was too much trouble and they go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Advice galore when it comes to do's and dont's, help with ordering taxis, fixing the prices and discussing your requirements with the driver. They are so knowledgeable and helpful and also sociable and you will have many laughs. We will never forget them and if ever in Bangalore again I would return to the Camelot. The location in Whitefield may…

After a long taxi drive from the railway-station we arrived at "Villa Camelot". It was the last day of our holiday and the last day of the year. We found ourselves embraced with warmth and hospitality. Feeling at home already. We got a very fine diner and the next day we could stay until we had to go to the airport. ( had a wonderful breakfast first and Yamini drove us around in the neighborhood and told us a lot about the city). When we are going to India again, we start in Bangalore and stay with Yamini and Raghu again and then for some days more!
