We spent the last 4 (well, 3 1/2) nights of a trip around India here. The hotel was just what we needed - friendly, clean, efficient and helpful. Our room was really spacious and easily accommodated our family of 4. We had great views out over the south of the city, watching kites fly below us and hearing the bustle of the street. Everything was spotlessly clean. All the staff were lovely. They took so much trouble to make sure our needs were met and made a huge fuss of our kids. The manager Lohit has recruited an excellent team which stood out as providing the best customer service we have experienced in India. The rooms are on the 12th floor. You can still hear street noise but that’s to be expected in such a central location (you can walk out on to MG Road or Church Street from the Barton Centre). MG road metro is a 3 minute walk away.

The Ivory Tower feature spacious suites, very comfortable and well appointed. Excellent location, well connected by road and rail. The Namma Metro station is a very short distance away. They have an excellent restaurant and lounge / bar, The Thirteenth Floor, just one floor above. A wide variety of restaurants / pubs within easy walking distance. The breakfast was a tad skimpy. That can be improved. But otherwise, enjoyed the stay and would go back again. Definitely recommend the place.

I stayed here for about a week recently and LOVED it. I had a gigantic room that seemed like a house. Even had TWO separate balconies. Price was amazing, location is unbelievably good since this is right near a metro station and the nicest, safest part of town (MG road/Church street) with tons of restaurants, bars, and cafes nearby. Staff was incredibly accomodating and efficient. Rooftop bar for sunset is also pretty unbeatable.

Ever since I have been in college in 70's , Bangalore 320 kms away and situated 600 Mtrs above sea level was always an extended week end get away and for my friends it was a heaven to enjoy good quality liquor since Tamil Nadu had prohibition and later when it was lifted there was hardly any good quality liquor made available in the market for various reasons. Personally then I was a tetoller in defference to my father's wishes and went along, often to drive them safely and take care if them. At that time due to budget constraints Ajantha Hotel or Brindavan hotel run by the same family of brothers and priced very competitively with clean rooms became our haven .Bangalore was then peaceful, clean and the weather for most part of the year had a nip sans high rise building and unimageanable green cover and practically no pollution. Four decades later Bangalore has now morphed into a concrete jungle with unimagineable traffic snarls worse than Newyork down town ,worst pollution, Terrible roads full of pot holes ,very heavy vehicular traffic and two wheelers who make their own rules on the road. The reason is very simple over population thanks to IT boom still going at great speed. The city has expanded on all sides .Every home it appears have minimum two vehicles even if it's on a 20 ft road . It's no longer a garden City with most green cover lost in the name of growth and devolopment ,With Cubban park , golf course in addition to exclusive army cantonment areas being exception still . Too many signals and one ways streets and roads adds more to the traffic woes . To put this in proper perspective it takes me just 4 hours maximum to reach the end of electronic city expressway from Chennai on the partial 6 lane highway , but from there to get to the heart of the city like MG Road it takes 2 1/2 to 3 hours in crawling traffic . Terrible It may sound but true . Down the years I used to stay in Bowring club on St Marks Road due to its affiliation with my MCC club in Chennai and being centrally situated that lets you walk to most areas you wish or take an auto avoiding self driving in the chaotic traffic since commercial street, Brigade road, residency road, MG Road are all close by to meet all your aspirations and needs . But the quality in Bow ring club started to detoriate both in boarding and lodging and I had to look for another alternative value for money place to stay during my Visit to Bangalore which became more later . Of course No other city can boast of hotels in different category and star ratings, not to mention the classy restaurants that can satisfy any palate . My good friend who had an office in Barton Court on MG Road recommended IVORY TOWERS" in the same building which had a mall and office complex in addition to this business hotel with Ebony restuarant and a bar on the top floor par excellence that gives the guest a fantastic birds eye view of Bangalore city both during day and night . I started checking into this hotel and they still offer me a very good suite @Rs 4000 / including breakfast being a regular guest . The view from the room of Bangalore city from that height is very inspiring . It's maintained very clean and quite upmarket with all creature comfort of a 3 or 4 star hotel .The staff is also very courteous and ebony resturant with rooftop catering serves very good multicuisine food both veg and non veg .Prices are quite reasonable too . The great advantage of shifting to this hotel is that it offered the same locational advantage Bowring club offered but better and in a star comfort and for just a couple of thousand Rupees more . The only issue is the car parking and though they have exclusive slots in basement it's still an Herculean effort since it shares the parking with other commercial spaces . Some times a valet is around to help but not at odd time of arrival. I Make it a point to never to use my car in the city except walk or use auto .I havent yet tried their Metro just across the hotel. The photos I present is self explanatory for its quality and cleanliness and has adequate lifts and proper fire safety system in place .Room service is very satisfactory . I would strongly recommend this hotel to visitors to Bangalore if they want to be in the heart of Bangalore , where all action and night life takes place and most classy restaurants are at stone throw distances. Well for the well heeled there are always the 5 star hotels in abundance where everything one wishes for will be met but at a price that goes up by substantial percentage due to luxury GST tariff .

Have already visited this place twice in the last 2 months and the best thing that I like about this is the location and the price point. Although I did get the corporate package yet it's worth the price point. Rooms are crazy big and the view is wonderful from the balcony. It feels like home! Breakfast is served in the room and the choice is limited but it will suffice. The main course is to die for. It's just yumm!! They have a very unique line of menu and they deliver as expected. Would love to come back again and again.
