I discovered this Boutique hotel by a random search on Google & what a find it was!! It is right in the City with access to everything you need & every place you ought to go during your Stay - be it Restaurants, Pubs, Shopping or just visiting the City for business! The Property is located in a quiet residential bylane Off Richmond Road & has 8 spacious rooms available for nightly or long term stays. You will fall in love with the Hotel, the minute you see the Building, which has been so thoughtfully designed taking into account the neighborhood & the green canopy. The interiors are tastefully done with wooden furniture and displays of curios, artefacts. The rooms are very clean, fitted with ACs and a comfortable bed, a working desk & chair. The bathrooms are the way they ought to be, clean & dry, has hot water available all the time through the geyser. Rooms are well lit & ventilated with louvre windows and there is greenery all around. You can smoke in the common balcony space or relax reading a book without being disturbed. Breakfast is complimentary & is served with South Indian dishes and toast, bread, oats. There is a convenience store nearby where you can buy snacks and Swiggy/Zomato delivers food from restaurants of choice. It is a great place to stay for all categories of travellers.

Laika Boutique is a welcome respite for travelers to Bangalore. It is modern and clean and off the busy thoroughfare. The rooms are generous in size with ample storage space. The toilets are modern and the decor is refreshing. There is a quiet living room on the first floor- a good place to read the paper and enjoy your tea or coffee. On the second floor there is an outside private balcony for lounging or reading. The wi-finis good everywhere. The glass front elevator is a nice touch.

I was on business trip and stayed for one night only. My experience was good and everyone including the owner herself is taking good care for the guests. However i feel it is better for those who are looking for homely stay with good comfort and long term stay. Full marks in any case for the price to amenities / service ratio.

The place itself is ok however the gestures of friendliness from the owners mean that before you know it you are spending a lot of time with them. They offer you an itinerary but Laika will offer to take you or accompany you shopping to shops she knows and this is not always what you want. When I did not follow their recommendations on certain matters, the show of friendliness often gave way to unpleasantness and rudeness and this made me feel unwelcome and unsure of how to react during my one-month stay. This has been my personal experience and I will not be staying here again.

While our room was fine at first, we were disappointed in our stay at Laika Boutique. Had this been a 2 star hotel, we would have understood. But we had higher expectations of cleanliness at a 4-star hotel, even in India.
First the sink and shower drains in our room were clogged. The next day, all the water that went down the sink drain leaked onto the floor. We raised this issue with the staff and he either didn't understand, could not fix it or did not care. Either way, we had to use our towels to mop up the floor constantly. There was also mold on the walls in the bathroom.
Breakfast was very limited and they included cold leftovers left on the table from other guests. The cook (who was also the person who couldn't fix the sink or our non-working tv) continually coughed as he prepared food. It was pretty unappetizing and really unsanitary.
We would not stay at Laika again.

I had stayed at Laika about 2 years ago and it had been a pleasant experience. On request of the owners, I had even posted a review. This time, I was in for a shock when I landed early in the morning at the hotel, waited for half an hour, and was then told that there are no rooms available. This was despite blocking the dates.The reason stated was that somebody had unexpectedly checked in the previous night. It caused me quite a bit of inconvenience!

I have now taken numerous guests both local and foreign to Laika Boutique Stay and invariably, they have had the most warm, efficient and hospitable stay! The owners go well past the call of duty to ensure guests are cared for, treated personally and made to feel completely at home. It is a place where I needn't check on anything or worry about things going wrong. This is the best and most reliable place for me to send guests to. And...it's in the heart of the city!

I recently visited Bengaluru with my giant family (14 of us!) in late December and stayed her for about a week. My family loved it. It was my first time coming to India as an adult (the last time I was 3 years old and don't remember much) and every morning and evening were perfect. The breakfast is fantastic. Fresh idli and sambar. Comfortable bedding, super clean bathroom and showers. Mrs. Laika and her team are all very nice and accommodating. Wilson and Naran were always super helpful. Mrs. Laika was very forthcoming about transportation options and even took my sisters out to show them her favorite stores for shopping. It was also a huge plus being right near the new light rail line at Trinity station, it's still brand new but once the train system expands will be a really convenient transit location.
My only complaint was the smell of mothballs in the bathroom sinks. I'm sure they were good about keeping the mosquitoes away, but an odorless alternative or pleasant smelling alternative would be nicer. Also, it's stationed near a military training site so expect some reveille in morning.
