Jimmy's homestay was a wonderful place to relax and unwind. It had a very pretty garden with apple trees which Jimmy's dad let us pick and eat from. We got a beautiful room with a mountain view. Jimmy was very helpful with arranging transportation and permit. His family was very warm and friendly. All this made our experience a good stay. We've taken back good memories from Ladakh and it was possible only because Jimmy was so helpful and made it easy for us.

The location is very close to the Palace and the market as well as the famous Shanti Stupa which u really can't afford to miss going in the evening and have a chance to see the epic scenery of the sunrise... Rooms are spotlessly clean and large enough to feel yourself comfortable even for a long stay. We would like to mention that every detail and every corner of the interiors and exteriors are built with love and perfect taste.

"Felt at home in a new place" that was a poem once I read in school and this trip and Jimmy guest house made me recall the same once again in life and not only that it made me experience what and how u feel being at home in a new place :) trust me it's amazing :) n u bet!!!!

Really nice family, awesome food service, neat rooms and great helping people.
i landed directly to leh from delhi & then all my arrangement was done by Jimmy (Owner). This guest house runs by him & by his mother. she cooks so well that smell of parantha's is still around. Leh is nice & similar to delhi specially for availability & taste.
People are cooperative & friendly.
day 1:- Their was strike for two days due to price hike hence i did full day recommended rest.
day 2:- jimmy arranged bike on very cheap rates & we explore full leh east. jimmy give us idea where to go like sangam, magnetic hill, pathar sahib, hall of fame etc
day3:-covered leh west including Hemis, thikse, leh palace, shanti stupa etc
day 4: pangong visit via chang la pass covered with full snow. i will not tell u bcz u have to visit and feel the beauty.
day 5:nubra stay , cab arranged by jimmy mom as we were not able to get any taxi due to over booking. she saves our day.
day5: stay at nubra & enjoyed khardungla pass.
day 6: catched bus back to manali. jimmy is so kind that at 2 o clock we woke up & left us to bus stand to cath that bus..
markets are nice , places are nice but i would recommend that u go & stay at jimmy home stay & u will feel like home & most importantly u will get all arrangements done by jimmy on cheap rates.
should stay their.

This guesthouse is less of a guesthouse but more like a home. The hosts are caring and loving. The rooms offer excellent views. Its very near from Shanti Stupa and also near to the market area and the changspa road. The rooms are neat and clean, very comfortable.

We were a group of 6 and stayed at Jimmy's for 7 days in August. The place is walking distance from market. Clean and well maintained rooms with attached bathrooms, hot water facility and T.V.
Wi fi is available but keep in mind that in these places you cannot expect 24/7 connectivity. Breakfast prepared at the cafe is amazing. They have a lovely garden where they grow beautiful flowers, veggies and of course apples. The hosts are friendly and warm people. There is a washing machine on the property and you can make use of it. Parking is available.

I stayed at Jimmy's guesthouse from 27th August to 1st September.
The guesthouse is owned by Jimmy. His entire family stays there. And the best part about the guesthouse is that the entire family makes an effort to put the customer/traveler at ease. Their hospitality is amazing.
The rooms are pretty good and each one has an attached bathroom with adequate facilities. The place has a beautiful garden on the front. The garden has an apple tree as well. One can sit and absorb some heat when the sun comes out. It offers a decent view of the landscape around. Try the apple from the garden.I'm sure they will be the best apples you would have tried.
Since we were traveling to khardungla, nubra, pangong lake and nothing was really planned, Jimmy bhaiya's mother helped us out with our plans. She has better knowledge about the road and weather conditions than what you'll generally find on the internet. While we traveled to khardungla , nubra and pangong lake on our motorcycles, we left our rucksacks behind. No issues with that. Tea, breakfast, dinner are available but all you need to do is inform aunty about your requirements beforehand.
Pretty reasonable place to stay at. rooms are cosy and the place is well connected to the nearby market which runs along Upper Tukcha Road.
There is space available for parking your motorcycles as well.

We stayed for 6 nights 7 days and Jimmy organised our trip to Nubra,Pangong and Tsomo Riri. It was great. The entire family take great care of the guest. As I was interested in having local food,Jimmy's mother Mrs.Stobgyal cooked delicious Ladakhi food for every meal, including breakfast herself and she gave me tips too. Rooms are quite big and clean with necessary amenities. Rooms have good views and they have a beautiful flower garden and fruit trees including apple. One can pluck apple and eat. City center is little far away around 15 to 20 mins walk from the homestay.
Jimmys homestay also arrange activities like trekking, biking and other adventure sports.
Quite reasonable to the pocket with required facilities and excellent host,I highly recommend this property to everyone.

The place is away from hustle-bustle of the town and provides a very comfortable stay for its price. A patch of garden provides a refreshing space for relaxation. Affiliated to YHAI, this place is ideally suited for youngsters, who may like to engage in some sports / adventure activities.

On the flip-side, the homestay does not offer a good choice for meals, though the breakfast menu is decent. [Certain items are also available round-the-clock.] The market area, where most of the good restaurants are, a little far to venture, especially in the evenings. It will be good if a fare of local cuisine can be organized, at least for the dinner.

I just cannot think of anything negatives about this place. The cleanliness, the food, the spacious rooms, the views from the rooms, the set and setting, the garden, the hangout area - Everything is just perfect about this place.

But what truly stands out is the hospitality of the hosts and owners. Mr and Mrs Stobgyal run this place with such warmth and love, words truly fall short. They stay on the ground floor of the property and the property itself is quite big and spacious to be called a home stay. It is a perfect blend of a travelers hostel, home stay and guest house. On the day we were checking out, we had an early morning flight back to Mumbai. We had got up at 5:30am and were planning to leave by around 7:00am. Since we had stayed there for nearly 7 days, we knew that the kitchen generally is operational by 7:30-8:00am, so we didn't expect to get tea/coffee/breakfast so early in the morning. We were planning to have our morning tea in the airport as it was just a 15 min drive from Jimmy's. At 6:45am, we heard a knock on the door. When I opened, it was Mrs. Stobgyal with a broad and warm smile on her face with a tray in her hand and 3 cups of steaming hot tea standing out there in that biting cold. She had made the tea at her place and had brought it up in that freezing cold so early in the morning.

The cafe - Metta Cafe - is run by Tanvi who cooks really yummy continental breakfast. She has decked up the hangout area very aesthetically.

The only thing which was lacking during our stay at Jimmy's was 'time'. I really really wish I could longer.

I booked this home stay directly with the owner. Jigmet and his parents take care of the guests. Myself and my husband had a very memorable and peaceful stay here. Jigmet's parents are very hard working and instantly make you feel at home. Only breakfast and dinner is served and if you wish to have lunch, you can use the kitchen facilities at a cost. Dinner was very tasty, hot and adequate - served with great affection and care. Rooms and bathrooms were clean with lot of sun light. TV was functioning - could have been little larger. View was nice. It is located away from the market/city centre. Clean filtered water was provided. We stayed for 3 nights on first landing in Leh. Later after returning from Nubra Valley we again stayed here for two nights - were warmly welcomed home by Jigmet's parents. Hot water was available for 24 hours. I will certainly recommend and visit again.
