Silk route is not a hotel, it is a bikers’ lodge or like a hostel. I did a mistake of booking for family by looking at the pictures posted online. Please DO NOT go for what you see in the pictures posted online. The hotel is not at all maintained, only 2-4 rooms are a little like what you see in the pictures. Most rooms doesn’t have proper ventilation, the whole place smells of cigarettes, the staff is unprofessional and causal. When we asked for room service, they denied even in time of Covid. They purposely have not posted photos of washrooms online because they are dingy and basic. Hot water comes only when wait a lot, the toilet seat flush clogs at times. The curtains are not tidy and aligned. I can go on of how this place lack lot of basic facilities. Food is the only saviour that too only dinner. Exteriors are better but not maintained all the time. All in all this is NOT A PLACE TO STAY WITH FAMILY. Also, NOT WORTH THE MONEY.…
The hotel is not well maintained. Except for Sadik (who was helpful) in the front office, the rest of the staff was not accommodating or helpful. The dining room facilities are below par, with the kitchen running late on breakfast/dinner timing & supplies. Food quality was also very average. Not a pleasant stay.
Silk route is the perfect stay in Leh, awesome hospitality, nice food, clean rooms, staff is so kind and helpful. Not forgetting to mention Mr. Sadik the manager, who has helped us in all aspect, Mr. Tani for always being there to extend his support, Ms. Edon for her warm welcome, Mr. Prakash for the tasty food. Good work guys, thanks for everything and making our stay comfortable in Leh.
It was one of the worst hotels I have ever visited. And it’s the first time Trip Advisor ratings failed me. You can find a better hotel than this in Leh in 1/3rd the money. I also stayed at Shaolin Guest House at half the cost and it was 5 times better than this - in room quality, ambience, scenery and feel. There was not a single thing that was special in this hotel. The rooms were like a 900 Rs. cheap room you’ll find at any lodge. The scenery from the room was a construction going on a meter away. The food was pathetic and tasteless. Every night there was a couple of groups of middle aged, loud uncles who used to party in the common area playing loud music. The hotel didn’t even care to clean the place even once within the two days we stayed there. It was an awesome trip to Ladakh for us - except this hotel.…
I had the opportunity to visit this property last year in September with my family and it was totally worth it. We all were visiting Leh for the first time and the host guided us to visit the region with such warmth and perfection. Coming to the delicious meals that we relished, the head chef totally managed to serve us with some
Silk Route is a beautiful hotel, with spacious rooms, amazing views, bornfires, a lovely garden, food to love, staff that looks after you like no other and the owners and management are totally the best and fully involved to make sure that's ones stay is impeccable. Staying at Silk Route was amongst the major highlights of our trip and I could not have asked for a better stay. I would recommend everyone to stay here. Thank you Silk Route for making every minute we spend here worth remembering !!
Well words would be less to describe my Leh trip and also it would have not been what it was without my stay at silk route . We staying in the hotel for 5 days and all was organised by Mr Wang there . The hospitality was impeccable. The staff are well groomed and trained . We needed some special food to be cooked and the chef aggreed to get it done for us. Leh itself is beautiful and this hotel took my heart away. Kudos to team silk route and thank you once again for the amazing Stay.
I visited Leh in July, and it was amazing. I couldn't be more happy with the accommodation and the location as well. The food is really good and the staff is nice and helpful. It's home away from home. Definitely recommend it!
The beauty of the place and the hotel is exactly as we see in the pictures and even better! The staff here are well trained and respond to the customers need in a prompt manner. The rooms are beautiful and clean and the food is great too. The hospitality is commendable. All in all it was an amazing stay at the 'Silk Route' and i definitely recommend people to book their stay with them, when in Ladakh. I for sure am doing that.
