The Saraha, Ladakh, surrounded by the picturesque Stok Kangri range is a one-of-its-kind 18 room boutique hotel. Located at the quieter end of the town, the hotel is hardly a kilometer away from the main Leh Bazaar and can also be reached by foot following a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Influenced by traditional architecture with modern-day amenities, The Saraha provides for a tranquil holiday.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Everything is good about this property, in terms of location, cleanliness, service, food, stay etc, but apart from all these good things, we loved the hospitality.
The hospitality at the hotel is extremely impressive. it is no less than the one at a 5-star accommodation. We travel a lot (national and international), but I would say that the experience at this hotel has been our one of the best experiences.
The owner of the hotel made an effort to meet us specially and made a special arrangement for us so as to make our stay even more comfortable. He is a very humble man despite being a big businessman.
Mr. Dinesh, the manager of the hotel, is an extremely professional person, who is working here since many years. He is very polite, very helpful and will make every effort to make your stay comfortable and he often goes out of his way to make things happen for you. He always comes to the dining hall, during the breakfast and dinner and asks every guest if everything is good enough; and if you make any special request, he will fulfil it. He is gem of a person. I could not thank him enough.
The day we had to check-out, we planned to leave at 6 am. Even without us mentioning about the breakfast, Mr. Dinesh (the manager), said that he will get the breakfast packed for our way back. It was a healthy and filling one and saved our time on our way back, otherwise we would have to stop for it.
We have been to Leh 3 times (2022, 2023 & 2024). Every time, we have stayed here. The first time in 2022, we booked it on seeing just the nice photos on ‘Booking’ but after that in 2023 & 2024, we did not even bother to check any other hotel, we were pretty much sure to come here. It is our abode for all our future Leh visits. Such an amazing has been our experience here.
When we visited this time in 2024, we checked the hotel availability on ‘Booking’, but it was full. So, we called the hotel directly and asked Mr. Dinesh if he could make some arrangement for us because we wanted to stay only in his hotel. He made our arrangement for one night in the next-door hotel and shifted us to his hotel the very next day. Everything was so seamless that we did not feel any hassle because we didn’t have to make any calls again and again, or bother about anything. It was all taken care of by Mr. Dinesh. All thanks to him. We have many more little-bit of experiences at this hotel, because of our repeated visits, which all have been very good. In short, it is definitely the best property in Leh in terms of every aspect.

We checked in Saraha Hotel on 7 Aug. & found it like Best & Great. It's entrance from main road was thru narrow lane but our SUV reached well inside the hotel premises. All team at Saraha led by Mr. Dinesh Manager is always helpful & cheerful. All Rooms balcony with Garden view, Best Food, Cleanliness, Room service everything is Excellent & Awesome. Hotel team also arranged good seating & snacks arrangement in Garden, to enjoy musical evening by our family & friends. First we planned to stay 2 nights in Saraha hotel & 2 more nights in some other Leh hotel, But after experiencing our 2 nights stay at Saraha we cancelled our other hotel for next 2 nights & staying all 4 nights at Saraha. We happily give 5 ***** to Saraha Hotel

Me and my family had the best stay at this hotel!!! The rooms were impeccably clean and hygienic, ant the services were top-notch. We booked 3 rooms for a night stay in this rather newly built hotel. The rooms allotted to us were on the 1st floor and they were big, comfortable, modern, with attached balcony and all the amenities for a luxurious stay. The food was simple but wholesome. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had an awesome holiday at Ladakh over the last 10 days as we visited several places of interest including the War Memorials spread across the UT. The Saraha at Leh was home to us as we criss crossed across Ladakh and we had a most wonderful stay at The Saraha. We had an amazing experience with an ever courteous and smiling staff making sure that our stay was as homely as possible even as we took a little time to acclimatise - high altitude posing challenges to most people visiting Leh for the first time. The facility itself, away from the hustle and bustle of typical holiday destinations, is equipped with all essential amenities to make the stay comfortable. The friendly staff also treated us to some excellent homely meals. Met with Mr Stanzin, the proprietor of the place and made a friend for life as he is such a warm hearted and wonderful person. He even went out of his way to help organise some of the itinerary for us and guided us on make the most of the visit to various places. Highly recommend this place for anyone who wish to have a holiday in Ladakh as you explore this amazing part of our country.

I visit Leh every year and after staying in Saraha for the first time, now this is my home away from home. The host Mr. Stanzin Norboo is very welcoming & humble, always ready to help and go an extra mile to lend his hand. I have stayed in other hotels also in Leh but the size of rooms The Saraha have is unbeatable. The food is amazing & the place is a little away from the hustle-bustle of fort road but still, all the famous eateries or the Main market are within walking distance. At last, I would like to say The Saraha is more like a home than a hotel.

They say "Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends" The Saraha truly imbibes this statement as the place is full of love and wow. Staff behave like they are brothers and never shy away from doing the best for you.
The Saraha injects the most important thing you aspire in life which is peace . Ladakh is a place for adventure where you go out and get your adrenalin pumped by either doing a bike ride on high altitudes or do treks or activities like river rafting etc and all what you need is to come back to a place where you can relax rejuvenate and be ready to fight nature again, Saraha is exactly a place for that.
We stayed for 10 days and it felt we belong to the place and Saraha is our home.
Stan is a wonderful host and truly an ambassador for Ladakh, its people and Indian quote " Atithi Devo Bhava"

Well appointed rooms, quant balcony (for us smokers - this is awesome). Friendly staff, peaceful & quiet. Good parking (for us truck owners, this is important). And most important, the owner & his family who are always around to chat, help, coordinate or simply have a cuppa tea.

Location, rooms, mountain view + balcony, service = all 10/10. Dinesh, the main person there is really kind and helpful and goes out of his way to make the stay more than pleasant.
