I & my wife arrived at Sangto Green directly from Airport. Ms Sumita ensured we had a comfortable stay during the initial acclimatization. The staff (Rahul & his wife) is very helpful, and ensures guests are well taken care of. The location of the property is pretty amazing, with Khardungla & Stok Kangri, both visible from the room. Also, it's very close to Chanspa road and Shanti Stupa, which is ideal for short 30 min walks. The food is homely & delicious, and the rooms are big & very comfortable. Overall, a great place to stay !

Booked this hotel after reading all the reviews on tripadvisor. Rooms were ok but service was not as expected. The staff does not listen until asked 2-3 times even for a cup of tea or a glass of water. Location of hotel is also ok. The dinner buffet was quite expensive for veg at Rs. 250/- per person and non-veg at Rs. 350/- per person. I was travelling with my parents and we did not want to have complete buffet and just dal and roti. We were however refused by the staff and since no other restaurant is nearby this hotel we had to go for the buffet for 2 days of our stay. The owner was however considerate and charged us meal for 1 day only. I think there are various other places where one can stay in Leh in a similar range and may be checked out.

Depends what you are looking for .....If you like impersonal Star rated hotels with fake smiles , Sangto Green is not your place . But if you love a quite , quaint place where you find the best possible personal touch , care and warmth it's Sangto Green Guest House . My sister and I are avid wanderers and go mostly by the reviews of lot of people whenever we choose hotels ( majority opinions are rarely wrong.. that's our experience ) ... And that's exactly how we reached Sangto Green Guest House. Every praise about the place and people that makes it so great starts with the Owner Ms Sumita (First Fashion Designer of Ladakh from NIFT-New Delhi) and her Mom ( First lady doctor of Ladakh) . They are ever so helpful and friendly that finding anything wanting with them around can be a challenge. Ms Sumita daughter Ms Lomo (teenage kid) is a full hotel management rolled in to one and clearly the next in line to take the place to greater glories. Help / driver -Mr Gulam is another very sweet and helpful person who can take you around the city and places to visit around Leh ,with Ms Sumita's help. Ms Sumita gives her guests very personal attention and advice on Dos and Don't in Ladakh , places to see , plan itinerary for you if you consult her, asks about food choices and passions one would like to follow in Ladakh, biking , hiking , touristy sightseeing etc etc and a trip to the hospital, if required , for people who react adversely to the low Oxygen at heights of 11000 ft plus. The location of Sangto Green Guest House is another huge boon for travelers . 4 kms from Airport , 2 kms from our Indian Army's Hall of fame , 1 km from nearest marketplace , 2 kms from Shanti Stupa , 2 kms from main market Leh , 4 Kms from Sonam Norboo Memorial Hospital and just off NH-1 surrounded by garden and trees of Ms Sumita's mother and her family. There are also some more hidden First's of the owning family, sister of . Ms Sumita (first lady IAS of Ladakh ), her Uncle first IAS of Ladakh . To sum it all up , Leh -Ladakh visit of ours wouldn't be half as much a memorable experience if it was not for SANGTO GREEN GUEST HOUSE AND ITS PEOPLE. Though the Oxygen part was a challenge but I plan to be their guest one day soon . I visited ledakh for 5 days , As i wanted a home like environment i chose Sangto green and I felt like being at home.Sangto green gives u feel of second home where from A cook to a owner behave like a family member. The head lady Mrs Sumitra Didi has helped us from taking a medicine to taking care of our travel to Nubra valley to pangong lake.We had good discussion during dinners too.I will recommend every new traveller to visit the hotel as at new place u need comfort and care. The room was spacious with big toilet , They have separate dining room where fresh home made food is being served. I Thanks Sumitra didi the owner for making our trip so comfortable. Will be visiting soon.

Sangto Green was my home when i was acclimatizing after landing in LEH and it felt like home. Check-in was super smooth. Staff was prompt to suggest i take DIAMOX and rest the day. I planned the next day for rest as well but they suggested a small stroll to Shanti Stupa and visit local market. I liked the idea of the staff being proactive and suggesting things and places. Though i have been to LEH before but thing have changed a lot in last 10 years. Food is homely and delicious. One shouldn't expect a menu. but they are willing to accommodate any request you might have. The Owner helped arrange a cab for my NUBRA and PANGONG Visit, the Driver was nice/reliable guy. Room: Spacious room with amazing view if you get the first floor room in the front. Food: Homely and Filling Location:- near Shanti Stupa with a beautiful view of mountains and a nice green lawn/garden to sit and enjoy some sunlight. Overall if you want a budget hotel with helpful staff and An Owner greeting with a Beautiful Smile. this is the place to be.…

I and my wife along with my 5 year old daughter landed at Leh without any preparations and planning for next 7 days except booking at Sangto Green. Owner Sumitha ji her whole family and staff were kind and helpful to cater all our basic needs. She planned our trips and made all the arrangements. Rooms were decent, had heater and wooden insulated. Momo's they prepared specially for us were drooling. My wife was all praise. Stayed there for 2 nights and we came here for the second time. Will come back again.

This is a long pending review since I didn't get time to jot it down from the last time I stayed at Sangto. I went on a family trip to Leh and as usual, since it was my family, I had to get the best posisble option for stay there. With a lot of research, I found Sumita's Sangto Green. Not only it looked fantastic in photos but when I had a chance to speak to Sumita over phone, I felt like home. She not only gave her ideas & insights about my Leh itinerary but was so welcoming even before booking the stay with her. And I was happy to see the same personality when we finally met her at Sangto. She has a small family & staff who are all very polite & courteous towards the guests. Sangto has a landline as well as Wi-Fi which works very well which is sometimes rare to find in Leh. A small garden where you can relax in the morning & afternoon and very near to Airport which helps the already tired travellers to crash in the beds as soon as they touch down!…
