Leh Stumpa is a Guest House run by a traditional Ladakhi family. Tucked away from the noisy bazaar, it is located on the peaceful Upper Tukcha Road that is not more than a 10 minute walk away from the Centre of Leh Market. Along with running the guest house, we have a farm from which you will be able to enjoy freshly 'picked' meals. Located around 900 metres from Shanti Stupa, the hotel is also an 10 minutes walk away from Gompa Soma. The property is non smoking throughout and is located 1.7 km from Namgyal Tsemo Gompa. At the hotel every room comes with a seating area, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a kitchen, a dinning area and a private bathroom with free toiletries and a shower. Leh Stumpa features some rooms with mountain views, and the rooms include a balcony. Guest rooms will provide guests with a dishwasher. A buffet breakfast can be enjoyed at the property. I am very happy I chose Leh Stumpa to stay while we were in Ladakh. The staff is very humble, helpful and ready to help. I got sick as soon as I arrived and I will always remember how much the staff took care of me with their food and tea service. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were fresh, tasty and served nicely. The vegetables used were from the kitchen garden of Leh Stumpa. The owner is very kind and loving and overall if anyone asks me, I could say, it was a safe and great place to be sick as the hospital was so close, the mall road market is withing reach and airport is few minutes away. The rooms were large, beds comfortable, bathroom very clean and gyser provided hot water all the time. The wifi was great and price was great too.

What a wonderful place! Leh Stumpa is a true gem - clean bright large rooms, surrounding a vegetable garden (that is used for cooking the delicious meals that are served), within walking distance to Leh Market but far enough away from the hustle to be serenely peaceful. The best of Leh Stumpa however are the hosts Rigzin and Stany and their Staff Yassir, who are always there with a smile and happy to help… not to forget Rigzin’s amazing ladakhi cooking!

Very beautiful place, helpful staff and friendly owner and his family. I found everything about this property to be perfect, which is very rare to get. I stayed 4 nights here with my 5 yr old kid, and the staff took care of all my needs and on time. Leh market is just 15 mins walk from the property which we did every evening with our 5 yr old. So you can say it's away from noise of city centre but not far. Owner and staff helped me with 2 wheeler booking for my local sightseeing which was made available to me right at the property, so I didn't have to go anywhere for the 2 wheeler pickup. Thanks Team, for everything and I ll definitely stay at Leh Stumpa during my next visits and also recommend everyone if they are considering a relaxed peaceful stay in Leh.

- Property location is really nice and you can view almighty Kharidungla from the rooms. - It has an apple, apricot trees so you can pluck them and eat them whenever you want. - Yasir bhai is a really great host and he helped us in everything from arranging bike for local sightseeing, booking taxi for Nubra visit and arranging home cooked meals

This is my first experience with Ladakh travelling and we are very lucky to have a great place and great people like Mr yasir who are a very good person and a very welcoming. Leh Stumpa is located at just the right distance from the market. You can see Shanti Stupa easily from here.
This place is managed by Yasser who is prompt, enthusiastic and eager to help you with any situation, be it a late night cab to the airport or any question you might have. He is well connected with the locals.
This place has strict timings for breakfast and dinner as all meals are made from fresh ingredients.
Overall, our stay at Leh Stumpa was quite relaxing and just what we needed to end our Ladakh journey on a positive note.

We stayed at Leh Stumpa in Sep 2022. A quiet, peaceful and clean homestay, that has beautiful view of vegetable garden + apples and apricot orchard from all rooms. We were encouraged to pluck and eat (the tastiest!) apricots, green and red apples at any time. It's 10-15 minutes walk away from main market and about 20 min from Shanti stupa.
We could hear the sounds of a nearby stream and wind rustling the tress in the night :) Sometimes the room felt a little stuffy in the night when there was no breeze but we would leave the windows open for better ventilation.
Since we were visiting Leh to participate in the Ladakh marathon, we may have been a bit demanding at times, yet Yasir and Babu were always friendly, polite, helpful and willing to go the extra mile in looking after us and other runner guests in-house, regardless of the time of day or night.
It was lovely to know that food served to us came plucked fresh from the garden. Meals were hot, tasty and nutritious.
It was evident that our comfort was their priority.
