The staff and the services were top quality, the place felt very familiar and comfortable! Perfect stop for family vacations! The food and room service was always on point, the kind of care the entire hotel staff provided was commendable! Will surely visit again! Also, they have the cutest pet puppy who just bought smile to all our faces!
Absolutely amazing stay at Ladakh Himalayan Retreat , interactions with owner Mr Sonam , very helpful staff and perfect place to stay for the Ladakh Marathon. Mr Sonam arranged fantastic excursions to Nubra Pangong Shakthi Paragliding and Local Leh sightseeing.
Ladakh Himalayan Retreat or 'LHR' is a beautiful and well equipped property. The rooms on the upper floors provide a good view of snow clad mountains, provided you have the lung capacity to climb those many stairs. A good enough restaurant with limited but sufficient spread to satisfy the needs. A small garden to soak yourself in the Sun during the day and count stars at night. The most 5 star-worthy feature of the hotel is the staff. Always helpful Arun Lal Rajput and Pal Singh ji at the reception, always smiling and courteous restaurant staff and always eager and available housekeeping staff. The owner Mr. Sonam Wangdus, who also helped planning the tour and arranged a taxi for us, is the go to man for planning your itinerary. The hotel also keeps hard plastic refillable bottles in the room and provide mineral water botel only on demand. A wonderful gesture to avoid increasing plastic waste in the eco-sensitive region of ladakh. Please note that the hotel is slightly away from the market and uphill walk to the market is slightly tough in the rarefied atmosphere. Taxis, though over priced, are available on call and at the market. Overall it was a comfortable stay for us in the beautifully raw and unpredictably rough terrain of leh. Thanks a lot team LHR.…
It is an excellent hotel with good hospitality at Leh. We had a great tour of Ladakh organised by them. They arranged for good stays at Hunder, Pangong and Tso Moriri also. Breakfasts and dinners were included in our tour package. An Innova was provided with us for the entire tour. Mr. Sonam Wangdus, owner of this hotel arranged all the things very well.......... 👍
Hotel is good, pleasing building and rooms. Location is good, with shops, restaurants & cafes available nearby. Driving to the hotel is a little complicated even with maps due to narrow roads around. Rooms, linen & toilets are clean. Room has a standing fan and heater. Hot water available all day. There is no lift/elevator and have to climb stairs each time which is quite tedious in this altitude. Carrying luggage is next to impossible by us but staff will do it. Free Parking is available on-site, but a little cramped. Food in restaurant is pretty bland. Morning breakfast spread is good but difficult to choose 1 good dish for taste. Better to eat out in the many nearby cafes & restaurants. Cleanliness in restaurant not acceptable. Staff are generally helpful but pretty slow and laidback. The hotel looks like a 3*, charges 4* but is actually a 2* facility. For a price less than 5k per night, it would be worth. For 5k+, many other options are available.…
I been in LEH for 4 day in Ladakh Himalayan Retreat, and it was really a comfortable stay: Clean rooms, good room service, friendly staff. Food quality is good, different different varieties in buffet wether breakfast or dinner with good taste. Also resort is just 15 mins away from Leh market, by walk. Hence I would recommend Ladakh Himalayan Retreat for best stay in Leh.
Hotel is very beautiful, staff is very cooperative,Food mouth watering,We visit this hotel yesterday only and felt we took the best decision, view from room is beautiful,Hotel is near to market, and near to aiport as well.Thankyou LHR Team for making our stay ,a good one. 5*Star hotel with all good amenities. We will definitely recommend tour hotel to others. 🙂👍
Our stay at Ladakh Himalayan retreat was nothing less than a phenomenal experience. The Views are breathtaking and the space in and around the property is just amazing. But our stay was made super comfortable and marvellous by the Staff of LHR. I hope we can visit again really soon!
Well, I stayed with my family in Ladakh Himalayan Retreat for 6N/7Days. My entire stay along with my local transfers were well organised by the team and Arun led that and ensured that i got the best they had in store. Arun helped me prepare my Itinerary for my entire duration and we had the best time ever. Room : Rooms are pretty big and has a good view to mountain and are very well maintained - 5/5 Food : Breakfast spread is decent and tastes very well. They cook to ensure it tastes good for all ages. One suggestion, restaurant can have some varieties of Milkshakes and Ice cream (as it was not available any day). Ensure juice served for breakfast is not expired. This is a suggestion, as it was anyways taken care after we told. Restaurant staffs are also very good (Ravi, Sathya etc) Hospitality : Well mannered staff and obliged - 5/5 Overall rating - 4.5/5 - I will again visit here if i plan Leh.…
We stayed here for nearly a week towards end of July and we had room 309 for stunning views of the mountains. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was excellent every time! Delicious and well cooked. Kudos to the staff at the hotel for their excellent service and good nature. Extremely helpful. The place is at a walking distance from a lot of shopping places and restaurants and cafes. The hotel and its grounds are very neat and clean and they take care of all your requirements. I haven't felt this comfortable in all of my years of staying at hotels and I have to congratulate the team for its excellent service.
