Great for stay in the Ladakh winter - was centrally heated and had hot running water all the time. One of the best designed economical hotels we've been to, especially in terms of the sense of space it creates on a small property. There are common lobby areas in every floor along with a very spacious dining and lounge area on the ground floor. Our room got a lot of sunlight, so much so, that we felt a little hot during the day. The staff, including the owner, were very courteous, helpful, and friendly. They got our day sightseeing trips planned and booked. Food was quite good and their dinner buffet always had some tasty local fare. It was very close to the market and taxi stands - just a 5 minutes walk away. They also provide oxygen cylinders and concentrators - would recommend using it for a bit after arriving in Ladakh. The cost was quite reasonable given the standard of the hotel and with breakfast and dinner being included.

When I will visit Leh again, I can only think of staying at Padma. I have never met an owner as wonderful, kind and hospitable as Mr.Tsewang. There is everything in the room you could need during your stay for winter like heating, warm water etc. The location is perfect and quite close to the market and restaurants. The view of the Himalayas from the room is amazing. I had booked my tour as well from the same hotel and Mr. Tsewang and his team made sure I have a wonderful and amazing stay and experience. If you are visiting Leh, I highly suggest you to stay here, because you will feel right at home.

If you are an adventurous spirit who also loves their comfort while travelling, especially in a cold place like Leh, Hotel Padma is a great option. Equipped with centrally heated interiors and very comfortable modern and immaculately clean rooms, Padma can offer you all the comforts you require in the harsh weather of Leh. The hotel is also a 15 minute car ride from the airport, making it a convenient stop in Leh to acclimatise.

Rooms are ok, so are amenities, bed comfortable. Little noisy due to most booking by large tourist group. Does not pay much attention to individual tourist. Breakfast and dinner are just ok, lot of scope for improving quality and items. Lady server at breakfast and dinner buffet is very courteous and helping. Staff at reception is also ok. Hotel has two parts new building and old building. New building is like a hotel while old is like guest house, avoid taking room in old building which does not worth even 50% of room prices of new building.

Good hotel with large rooms. Absolutely clean.
We stayed in a Premium room for 4 nights and we could place a extra bed and still had quite a good amount of space in the room. It had a balcony with a great view of the mountains -in level 2 and 3 especially.
Staff were very courteous and quick to respond to all our requests. Took the MAP plan and found the buffet breakfast and dinner good. The manager of the restaurant Mr Dilip and chef took personal interest and ensured everyone’s needs were met.
An interesting point is that the hotel has several nice artifacts in the common areas – from specially ordered clocks in each level, exquisite vases, lighting and paintings.
Another generic observation: Hotels where the owner stays in the premises are reputed to have better service and the owner also furnishes the hotel well, as they probably view it as an extension of their homes. Mr Tsewang Jor is always at the premises and ensures that everything runs like clockwork
Unique :In every floor there is a common area which has a balcony with the same view so any guest from other rooms can use that to sit and relax, viewing the mountain (only the 3 premium rooms have balconies)
It is also at a close walking distance to the main market.

Category of rooms: premium rooms

This hotel is very beautiful and centrally located.
The rooms have a spectacular view with a beautiful sitting area and garden.
All ingredients used in the food here are organic and directly from their garden.
We stayed in the premium room and they were beautiful with all amenities.
The owner Mr. Tsewang was always present in the hotel and ready to serve the best to the guests. Service there is excellent. Food is delicious and the rooms are spacious and clean. Kudos to all the staff. Highly recommend this hotel.

We loved the spacious rooms (including one with a balcony) and beautiful garden at Padma, perfect for acclimatization during our first two days in Leh. The hotel is also within walking distance of the main market and its best eateries.

The service standards were very high, which we found to be generally true for much of Ladakh. The staff was ready to assist us in every way possible. Plus, Illena at the reception helped us out tremendously by booking a cab for our 10-day Ladakh trip.

If only the food could improve a bit, Hotel Padma would be quite perfect. In fact, given its many strong points, it still deserves a higher star rating than what it seems to have currently.

We stayed in Hotel Padma from 5th - 8th Aug 2021. We had 4 rooms booked for our family.
The stay was really amazing. It’s a new property and very nicely maintained and is in same condition as seen in pics on websites.
The cleanliness standards are very high. The rooms are spacious and of modern standards.
The entire staff is very cordial and soft spoken.
Special thanks to Vicky and his team at reception.
They are very accommodating and helpful.
In fact Vicky helped us replan our iternary with his valuable inputs.
It felt so comfortable staying in the hotel we spend lot of time in the lobby.
The food also is very tasty.
It was indeed a very good experience staying in this property.
We highly recommend this hotel.

We booked a deluxe room at Hotel Padma Ladakh. Firstly the location was very poor. Secondly the view from the deluxe room was absolutely pathetic (some toilet, washrooms, utensils lying everywhere) You get up to see this stuff. I have enclosed a few pictures. It was really disheartening to note and the management was not even ready to change the room. Please think twice before booking this hotel.
