We stayed in this resort for four nights and it felt like home. We decided to return back to the same place after a few days as we felt a sense of belonging to this property. One of my daughters fell sick and the in-house doctor who was a family member of the resort owners treated my daughter immediately and gave medication without charging anything. This was a truly moving experience for us. The food was excellent and freshly prepared specifically for us and our choice. The staff were excellent and made us feel connected to them. Peter who runs the property was always available for any requests and has a great skill in making the guests feel at ease. The resort is run with passion and it can be seen in every department of this resort.I wish them great luck and hope to return again in the future.…
We have stayed at the Saboo resorts many times. The resort is situated in a beautiful location. Great rooms, delicious food, amazing hospitality, what else one needs on a trip to Leh, Ladakh. The best part is a small stream flowing right through the resort, the sound of a rivulet flowing is amazingly soothing. Must, must, must visit while in Leh.
Saboo is an absolutely stunning property, and I had a wonderful time there. Such exquisite, raw, artistically constructed spaces with every convenience. The property has an amazing view, and the area is surrounded by vibrant flowers, which will make your mornings more wonderful. I would especially like to thank Mr. George for making us feel at home and for his exceptional care. I appreciate all of your kindness and warmth so much. The staff never fails to put a smile on your face; they are the best AVAILABLE as and when you need them, and they are incredibly modest, courteous, soft-spoken, supportive, and available. The food was always served hot and fresh. Every meal was balanced and well-rounded and frequently customized according to our needs. In a nutshell, I relished my stay at this place and will undoubtedly return soon with friends and family.…
The service, the food and the ambiance brought together an unforgettable experience Once you reach the property you are greeted. as warmly by Dilbarji, Prem, Soumik and Durga like you have come visiting their abode. A special thanks to Peter, Veena and George for the chit chat tea sessions, it didn’t feel at all like we had met for the first time! It felt like we are visiting family-like friends for summer holidays. The best part was knowing that the cottages made in traditional way with sun dried bricks, straw and multani mitti! When you do go visiting ask for Namdak to take you around - full of information and youthful energy, always ready with a smile!
It was our first trip to Leh.. we were 09 of us. Mr George and Mr Peter organised our trip on a short notice. superb hospitality by the entire team..we loved our stay and time spend at the property.I highly recommend this property for those who love nature. not miss the two cab drivers cum guide - Jigmit and Dorjay - who explained us the entire route and culture of Ladhak region. i would definitely go back again.
No matter how much I write, it won't justify this place.... It's one the best properties i have stayed at in all my travelling years. Everything about it is awesome... Food is excellent... The owner is so friendly n makes sure all the guests r comfy from all aspects... The staff follows the same footsteps... Highly recommended!! Thank you for a wonderful experience at your resort
On the visit to leh that began in the month of July and extended to August this was the 3rd resort that I have stayed in and the worse experience out of the 3. There is nothing luxurious about the resort. The amenities are pretty basic. From the moment you enter the property they make you feel that you are not welcome . The view from the rooms is blocked by bushes so there isn’t one. The restaurant people are moody. When asked for a menu so that you can order in the room the response that you get from them was and I quote’ is it your first time in Leh, we don’t serve menus in the room‘ .Most of the items on the menu weren’t available even while ordering in the restaurant anyways. I stayed in Le mentok and Indus River camp before staying at this one and both of them made me feel right at home and gave me a vibe that was warm and welcoming. The only thing I take back from saboo resorts are good pictures of the property.…
The,stay was very comfortable, the view was amazing and the food was delicious....so freshhhhh. The staff is very understanding and helping , the place was like home away from home. The way they make ur bed is very caring....
I really want to Thank Chandra Prakash for planning our stay at Saboo and making it hassel free. I Guess everything was right but still missed that X factor of Satisfaction. Servers and Staff were really polite and sweet. Breakfast was Good, Dinner was Convincingly OK , wont point out anything wrong in breakfasts and dinners as nothing major or remarkable went wrong. Hot Showers were the best part of my stay. Hahah, Even though the hot water was for few hours but i guess those hours were right, nothing odd about them. Access to all TV channels was again a plus point. Even if you want to chill in your room, have some drinks and put some music on it full-filled our desire. The only point which lacked was the Communication Gap between Saboo Managers and me and because of that I faced a loss of 6000 INR. Also, Internet was NOT AT ALL Accessible. It didnt affect me though as I am not much of a social media person, so I was preety cool about it. Infact Got more time with myself. Overall, the whole experience was Memorable and Positive. :) Might visit them soon again. Cheers, Sameep…
I’m not sure how it can claim that. It’s a quaint rustic group of cabins where heat and hot water are available for 4 hours in the morning and the evening as long as those times correspond with your travel schedule. An investment in cheap window screens would go far to keep them out of your room and especially off your food in the dining hall. There was no safe in the room and there were a few toiletries only. However, the staff was very courteous and considerate and attentive as can be. The food was average to good and generous and varied around a few ethnic types.
