The Zen LADAKH, is the first resort of its kind in Leh which offers its guests centrally heated accommodation throughout the year at reasonable prices. The resort is equipped with luxurious facilities like an indoor centrally heated swimming pool with a steam bath, conference hall, gymnasium, health club, beauty parlor and a souvenir shop. We also offer laundry/dry cleaning, services, car on hire, doctor on call and a spacious car park area. These facilities can be enjoyed throughout the year, even in the harsh winter season of Ladakh. While relaxing and unwinding in your own private Jacuzzi, guests will get mesmerized with the spectacular views of the Trans Himalayan mountain ranges. Detailed Reviews
Our stay in Leh was made even more comfortable, enjoyable and amazing because we chose The Zen hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean & decent. There is hot water available in the washrooms 24/7 which was a boon in the minus temperatures of Leh, the view from the rooms of the snow clad mountains is just wow !!! The staff is very courteous, helpful and quick in their service. Its a mere 15 min drive from the Leh airport and very close to market place as well. The buffet spread for breakfast & dinner was also good. I hugely recommend this place to all tourists who visit this place. LEH is very serene beautiful peaceful and mesmerizing and our stay at The Zen made it even more special, thanks to the entire team !

Zen Ladakh is an absolute gem amongst hotels in the Leh Ladakh Region. I stayed here for a week as a part of a trip. It is convinently located at a 10 mins drive from the airport. It was mesmerizing to witness the beauty of the Himalayas from Zen's balcony. It brings in much needed calmness and serenity in these tough times. The incredible and breathtaking scene I saw every day will forever be etched in my mind and soul as the premier view of the Himalayan landscape and the beautiful richness of the nature that grows there. The entire staff were warm and wonderful hosts and are they ensure that your stay is made as enjoyable as possible with accommodations, delicious food and their hospitality. You can go hiking, play indoor and outdoor games, or simply relax in the room or balcony and gaze at the mountains during the day, spend the evening with friends and family or simply settle down in an apple orchid. A private pool in the hotel and jacuzzi in room is another feather in their cap. Location is absolutely comfortable as it is at a 15 min walking distance from main Leh market. An inhouse medical room for any medical emergency makes it even more safe. This is the best and only hotel I would say one should stay when in Leh. I would recommend this hotel for each and everyone.
Happy travelling friends !!!

We stayed in their newly created Royal suite for 3 nights and they are super spacious with modern amenities. They also have a pet at the property named Leo.
Staff is courteous. Girls at the reception handle guests nicely and they are always smiling amd welcoming which is pleasing to eyes and rare these days in even 5 star hotels. Please keep it up.
This resort needs to improve with product brand they serve(tea/coffee/brown sugar) and snacks availability for guests. We ordered 2 coffee in room and it was only 1.5 cup and snacks (crispy veg, dimsum, thupka) were pathetic as if they bought it from some local shop. Also for the first two days i didn't see much options in buffet (breakfast and dinner) as they only had 2 suites booked that time. But during our 3rd day stay their entire hotel was booked and so they had proper spread in breakfast and dinner.

An absolutely horrible hotel. I wouldn’t even suggest my enemy to come and stay over here. The hotel is so 2 faced that one of the hotel staff in the lobby openly told us that we might show you something on the website and give you something I reality that’s how we run the hotel, we were all so pissed off that we wanted to go speak to the MD of the hotel. Surprising the MD himself also had nothing to say about it and in turn started to shout at us for asking for the room we saw on the hotel website.
If someone doesn’t find a hotel in Leh and if the options are of staying in tent or this property we would 110% suggest staying in a tent. The hospitality is awful and staff are absolutely shameless.

Thank you for your multiple reviews. As far as the website is concerned, we haven’t faced any problems regarding the luxury wing and the cottages before : the former having opulent facilities with higher prices and the latter being less expensive. The Zen Ladakh’s website has clear subheadings with images for the guests to be well aware of how the rooms look like and what all facilities are provided. How do you expect the MD or the staff to behave well with you when you are at fault for not checking the website properly and creating a chaos for almost 6 hours asking us to provide you with the rooms in the luxury wing for the same price as the cottages and disturbing the other guests. We did advise you to pay more for the rooms of the luxury wing but you denied to do so. And moreover, as per our information the staff has nothing to do with your matter. Hotel industry is solely concerned with the provision of guest accommodation and hospitality. But there’s a limit to everything. Out of 2000-3000 guests in a year we rarely come across people like you who shamelessly curse, torture and threaten us to take the matter to the consumer court with no solid proof, knowing that you’re at fault. The Zen Ladakh would love to welcome people with basic ethics and manners. We do our best for our guests. Or else we suggest the troublemakers to stay in the tents instead.

The hotel is nice but service is truly pathetic. Our entire family coming via flight from Delhi (of course suffering severe mountain sickness) was made to wait for 3 hours to check in. Thereafter, they took 3 more hours to bring the luggage to the room, even after calling them 7/8 times for the same. Finally had to bring it ourselves. This is the situation when only 30% occupancy is permitted due to Covid restrictions. God forbid someone visits it during normal times with 100% occupancy. Probably they will ask you to cook your own food also. Horrible experience!!!

Dear Sir , Thank you for your review!!!!!!!!!!! we are sorry to hear that you had to face inconvenience at the time of check in and getting your luggage in time . we understand your point and apologize for the same. The COVID situations has put a lot of strain on everyone and increased the paperwork required for checking in the guests . Documents like ID proof ,RTPCR reports etc have to be collected from each and every guest , which have to be submitted to local administration . And because of early flight schedules in Leh , check in and check outs happen almost simultaneously. so at times, it may take a little while to get the rooms ready for the next arriving guest. Thank you for your understanding on this matter . we hope to serve you again .

We visited this hotel in June 2021 for our Honeymoon.
Considering the geographic location of Leh being close to border of Pakistan and China, Leh has very few top notch hotels. The Zen Ladakh is the best 5 star hotel in Leh. It has superb facilities overall compared to other hotels we visited in Leh.
We stayed in the royal suite for 3 nights and in their Presidential Suite for 1 night. Both category of rooms are Royal, spacious and with great facilities to ensure our comfort and luxury.
The staff is very helpful and hospitable and takes care of all our needs.
Most recommended hotel in Leh.

The breakfast time was until 10 am. We came in at 10:10 am as lay down for longer because we took time to acclimatise. The breakfast buffet was closing however we could see some breads and thought of quickly grabbing some toast & butter as normal breakfast was closing. It was so rude of the F&B manager that he said that we can’t take the toast and it will be charged if we do.
We were so taken aback and disappointed by this behaviour that we just left and ate out at a nice cafe.
It’s funny how he thought of behaving like this at a reputed hotel like this one.

This property truly believes in" Atithi Devo Bhava", leaving no stone unturned to make the guests comfortable. The views are stunning and unmatchable.
The cottages give a feel of the old world traditional Ladakh, without compromising on any comfort or amenities. The new wing is a complete contrast of luxurious modern world. Both are an experience in itself, depending on one's own taste.
I guess it's the only property in Leh with indoor heated swimming pool.
The food is quite good as well.
Mr Thinles, deserves a special mention, who took extra care of us and gave personal attention. He also guided us with our itinerary and made us experience the local food at the property. He gave us a show around of the property and I must say the Presidential suite with its unique dining table is indeed an added exceptional feature of the property.
Mr Shivendra (GM) also paid personal attention to our stay, looking into the most minute details as possible.
The beautiful roses at the property stole out heart and was the show stealer! We visited other properties at Leh as well, but none have maintained such greenery and floral growth as "The Zen". Its a piece of green heaven amidst the cold desert.

Yes. You would need to travel atleast 30 to 50 Kms to anyplace above 12000 ft. Nearest is Khardung La pass on the way to Nubra Valley, Chang La pass on way to Pangong Tso lake or Nami La or Fotu La on the Leh to Kargil highway. But at Leh, you can see only the snow clad mountains on and around. Chances of mild hail is always there at Leh during summer.
Hello Maam,
It is completely safe to travel o Leh with Kids, no matter the age.
Just follow a few dos and don'ts
1) Take complete rest on Day 1 to get acclimatized. Sometimes we get too tempted to go and venture out on the very first day. That is an ABSOLUTE NO. One has to bear in mind that all the flights to Leh are early morning flights. So as it is one is so tired after being awake virtually through out the night, that taking rest becomes all the more important.
However light sightseeing can be done in the evening.
2) Do not go to Pangong the very next day as it is a high altitude lake. It can cause breathing problems.
3) Carry Dimox Tablets for Altitude Sickness.
4) Do carry medicines for Head ache and Vomiting as women and kids especially can have vomiting sensations when traveling on the mountainous terrain.
5) Drink Luke warm water.
Hope the above helps.
Please write back forany thing else that is needed.
Warm Regards
Trip India Hotels and Holidays.
