Incredible place to spend days in Leh. The owner is really nice, helpful and elegant. I spent half a day sitting in the garden and reading books, enjoyed tea made by the owner. Room is spacious, large, convenient with reasonable price. Definitely a great choice for accomodations
A 5 minutes walk from the main bazaar and we found this beautiful guest house with clean and bright rooms and a dreamy garden right outside filled with an abundance of different plants and flowers. The wi-fi is great and the host was gracious enough to offer the guests some mint or cardamom tea during the day. Very reasonably priced, this guest house will always be our #1 go to place in Leh from now on.
Quiet is the major word here.true, my room was great. large, full of light with an attached bathroom but i already left 2 such rooms in Leh due to insupportable street and traffic noises. at Saiman those noises are kept at bay partly thanks to the nearby stream and with the pretty, peaceful garden and agreeable hosts plus free tea all day, it is a true haven in noisy, increasingly polluted Leh. price for my room was 800 ruppees and it would very comfortably serve a couple or even a trio.
The Saiman Guesthouse introduces you to the most awesome aspects of Ladakh- comfy, laid-back place and very amiable landlords. The place is quite centrally located, the rooms are spacious, well-kept and clean. Don't expect to have running hot water, though, but this is to be expected of the region - the hosts provide you with buckets of hot water whenever you need one. Warm enough inside, even during a cold October evening.
It is 5 minutes of walk from main bazaar but it is so quiet and calm place! It has nice garden free to use and two rooms had access to a balcony where we spent all evenings drinking herbal tea which is allways prepared for everyone. Rooms are more than cosy and clean, bathroom is for some rooms common but we never find it as problem. House keeper family is very kind and allways ready to help with arranging cab or advising about trips around. Big recommendation!!
After traveling India for a solid month Saimon Guesthouse was the best spot to stop and relax. After taking the drive from Manali to Leh in two days we found an absolute Gem in Saimon Guesthouse. The garden is serene in the front and the owner was very helpful with great english. If first time traveling to Leh be careful if flying because of the High Altitude most people I witnessed to 2 good days of relaxing to make the adjustment. Can't wait to return :)
Had a great time staying here. The hosts are friendly and knowledgeable. Very clean. Most rooms have attached bathrooms and the prices were great! The location is excellent - 2 minute walk to the main bazar but away from the road so it was dead quiet at night. There were some louder guests staying here one night and the host kindly asked them to keep noise to a minimum. This is a great place to avoid the dust and escape the bustle of Leh. I will absolutely stay here next time I am in Leh
Our stay at this place was so great, Shahideh is very helpful and lovely lady who owned this family run guesthouse. She will tell you about any events that might happen in near future in Leh, so you won't miss anyone. Her place is so lovely and five star clean. With beautiful cute small garden with lots of flowers. We paid one/third of other place that we were staying but we got better room, more comfortable and located in the center. And tea, is always available in the downstairs next to wifi..... How to find it? On Lonely planet found out Bon appetit restaurant. Around there, ask for Julay guest house. It is next to it.
We stayed at Saiman Guesthouse for quite some time and stayed in three different excellent rooms at different times. Our fave is the one with a balcony (room #4?). There's another room in a different building where you can hear the stream of water - we found it very soothing especially at night. Bigger rooms are able to accommodate families. The guesthouse is centrally located and it is very clean! Shahida and her family are wonderful. Shahida speaks perfect English and works at the tourist office (she used to be a teacher). They have a cozy courtyard overlooking the vegetable garden. We divided our time hanging in the courtyard or on our balcony. They serve all-you-can-drink chai - yum! They do have free wifi however internet in Leh is quite sporadic. We will definitely love to stay here again. Shahida, if you are reading this: Jullay/Salam! We miss you, Saiman Guesthouse and Leh very much!…
I stayed in 4 guesthouses in Leh and this was the best. Super clean rooms and the owner is very friendly. Nice garden as well. A bit hard to find, in a side alley. I would warmly recommend this place.
