"The Nature’s Nest Camps and Resort in Merak Village provides a camping experience in Pangong Lake. Village. The snow-capped mountains to lush valleys, Ladakh, like a dream captured in a snow globe, is a wildly beautiful Mountain of this Trans Himalayas. Envisage yourself riding off into the sunset on a double hump camel with a multicolored turban draped around your head & the sun warmth on your face. The exhilaration of spending a night in a Nature’s Nest camp with freshly made dishes to eat, the touching rhythm of desert drums to enjoy, and the most amazing night sky you’ve ever seen; It demands nothing from you, but to loosen up & look at the ever changing shades of the barren land."
The camp is situated quite a distance away from the main photographic point of the lake, and despite its claim of being close to the lake due to the lake's vast size, reaching the bank of lake takes about 40 minutes via an unfamiliar walking route. However, the remote location has its advantages, as the camp sees fewer visitors, and during our stay, we were the sole guests for that night. Despite the distance, the camp itself is well-maintained and clean. The staff is welcoming, going out of their way to fulfill all your needs. The food provided at the camp is excellent, and they even offer hot water bags at night to combat the cold temperatures. It's worth noting that there is a mandatory power-off period from 11 pm to 7 am, adding a touch of tranquility to the surroundings during those hours. For those planning a visit, it's advisable to carry oxygen cylinders, as the oxygen levels in the area may decrease. Despite the distance, the camp offers a peaceful and well-catered experience, making it a worthwhile destination for those seeking a serene retreat. The only reason for giving average rating is for location, otherwise it is an excellent place to stay.

The place is about 1-1.2 km from the lake taking 40 mins to walk down along other fence. Be prepared to drive 20km extra (1 hour extra drive) from pangong and it seems that they have shifted from the main lake area on May 1. Hot water bags, bathing hot water, 4 layer blankets and entire hospitality is well taken care. Please ask prices before ordering food since they seem to be a little expensive.

My wife and I had an amazing time at Nature’s Nest. We were welcomed warmly and the staff was very helpful and friendly. It was our first time staying in a tent and we loved it! The location was perfect with stunning views and the opportunity to experience village life. We went for a walk around the village and got to meet the locals which was a highlight of our trip. The food was outstanding and one of the best we’ve had. We were even provided with a hot water bag which was very thoughtful. We highly recommend Nature’s Nest for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience

I stayed at Natures Nest for one night in June 2021. Natures nest in Pangong has probably the best location out of all properties in the area. It’s literally a stone throw away from Pangong Tso. It’s run by a very cute, old couple who’ll make sure you feel at home with them. When our reservation at another property was cancelled at the last second, natures nest took us in, even though we did not have a prior reservation with them. Their tents come with a comfortable, clean bed, side tables, a small closet, and a well equipped bathroom. The food is homely and delicious, and they serve the best maggie and tea in the entire state, in my opinion. Quiet, peaceful, and away from all other hotels and camps, Natures Nest offers a sense of calm and allows you to admire the beauty of the Pangong Tso in all its glory. It gets pitch dark at night so it’s a perfect spot for stargazing. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a quiet, peaceful stay in Pangong.

We stayed one night at the wonderful Pangong lake. The camp is very well maintained and gives un hindered view of the lake since this is the first camp site from the lake at the particular location. all other camp sites are behind this. We enjoyed the full moon reflection in the lake as also sunrise from our tents.
The camp site is very well maintained and camp are very modern equipped with good washroom. The staff is nice and polite and very much helpful However would have liked more if food was better and also dinning area more neat and clean. However given the location this was excusable.
Electricity is available for 3-4 hours only in the evening and they provide one emergency light in each tent. Due to environmental reason they only can boil 500 ltrs of water using Solar energy and once this is consumed you do not get any Hot water. So either take bath early or make do without taking a bath. There is strong wind blowing so avoid taking the two corners tents.
We had a very wonderful time and stay at this tent camp. Highly recommended to stay over here.

It was our first time experiencing the luxury camping. We were awestruck by the beauty and serenity of Pangong lake, and the Nature’s Nest Camp adds even more excitement to it. We loved the hospitality and the food was delicious ! The staffs were very calm and warm and very welcoming. They even provided hot water bag at night so we don’t feel cold while sleeping. We loved every bit of our stay there. The camp was very spacious and even got one big and clean bathroom attached in it. We had a wonderful experience over all.

They have electricity only from 7-10 PM, hot water morning 7-8. Check out 9 sharp, breakfast 7.30-8.30. It was like i was in military camp than a leisure. Staff pathetic, food was okish, tents unhygienic and dirty. Don’t fall for pictures. They dont have generators whereas other camps have so best ask about generator before booking any tent.

The management of this camp misguides by posting false picture of lake side camps. In fact the tents are located about 2 km from Pangong Lake. You simply can't visit lake side practically. Hot water comes for few minutes early in the morning. No provision of continuous light in the tent. Linen and extra blankets are dirty. The present location is about 10-15 km away from the location shown on the map. Food choice is limited. They charges for providing water bottle in the room. Overall it was a terrible and painful stay.
