I travelled twice to ladakh and i stayed with them only ,But this season they shift the camp towards hill side. The place is about 1-km from the lake taking 20 mins walk to reach lake ,But apart from distance, its look superb ,the views are beautiful from the place ,food is amazing and , They provide good hospitality. Mostly everything is available as per the atmosphere.
The tents are spacious with double beds, ample quilts to keep you warm and a bathroom with running water! Run by the gracious uber friendly manager and staff, I felt completely at home at Nature's Nest. The manager even got me beer! And yes, I did have beer on that cold chilly night. Good food. Friendly people and a view to die for. The moment you wake up in the morning and open the door Pangong hits you with all its glory. Sip on some hot tea...relax and enjoy your stay at Nature's Nest.
I was there with my family on 28th May’22 and all I can say that the gap between what we were promised and what we experienced was like an abyss. First and foremost, we decided on Nature’s Nest or similar in Feb’ 22, as was offered by Kailash Expeditions after looking at very nice images and reviews from 2021. There the location of the camp was just next to the lake and that was the main attraction to go with Nature’s Nest, whereas when we arrived there, even the driver of the cab was surprised that the camp site had moved this year further 20 km and the camp was around 1.5 kms from the lake, in the middle of nowhere with the worst approach roads. Then of course was the confirmation that these were ‘Premium Luxury Tents’ as was mentioned to us and also sign boards indicated on the way to the camp. Unfortunately, let alone luxury, even basic amnesties were completely missing. On top of there was no electricity from 10:30 pm in the night so we all had to spend the entire night in complete darkness, only with the flashlights of our mobile devices and that too we were worried would run out of charge as there was no possibility of charging them since we were made to understand that power is available only between 7pm to 10:30 pm in the evening. The kitchen and the dining space though is managed by solar power somehow. Since there was no power, so no warm water at such chilling environment. Warm water will come on the tap only after 6:30 am in the morning and that too it was there for 1 hour only. The bed, bedside table and an open wardrobe as the only furniture in the tent was completely worn out and with the varnish gone. The bed linen, covers & blankets extremely dirty, with stains and dirt on them. Drinking water had to be purchased for Rs. 25/-per 500 ml bottle where the MRP printed was Rs. 10/-. The dining hall ran out of even basic things like a paper napkin as the supplies were not replenished by the management. In all it was more of a nightmare for all of us and our prime objective was to leave the god-forsaken place as early as possible. My only request to Kailash Expeditions is not to create such a false hype regarding the property, location, and facilities when in reality, the experience is horrible in all respects. The manager Mr. Pawan was bombarded by questions by all the guests of other tents as well, and all he could manage was to cut a sorry figure and be at the receiving end of the guest’s wrath. Me and my family feel cheated as it seems deceit all the way especially when there was no need to do so. It’s my request to the management of Kailash Expeditions that they should not cheat their guests like this.…
The management of this camp misguides by posting false picture of lake side camps. In fact the tents are located about 2 km from Pangong Lake. You simply can't visit lake side practically. Hot water comes for few minutes early in the morning. No provision of continuous light in the tent. Linen and extra blankets are dirty. The present location is about 10-15 km away from the location shown on the map. Food choice is limited. They charges for providing water bottle in the room. Overall it was a terrible and painful stay.
Let's start with the deception first. 1. They have moved to a new venue, for I presume valid reasons.. however missed informing the guests. The pictures and description on their page still showcase their prev venue which was the entire reason one would book it. 2. The current place is a good 20km inwards.. bad road.. great views enroute.. no network.. only 1 sign board.. if you are lost.. well you are lost. 3. The lake while visible.. is a good 40 mins walk through absolute wilderness.. the host would make you believe its a 15 min walk.. you choose your truth. 4. There is a lot of construction in between the camp and the lake view.. so take that into account. Also no electricity and no network. 5. Now for the good.. the food is good.. Pawan Kumar and his team try their very best to make the service change the frowns of every guest.. so I will give them the credit for that.. however.. our visit to Pangong Tso wasn't for service...so that barely manages to cover up. Personal suggestion.. start early to reach Pangong Tso by midday and turn back after an hour or 2.…
The place is about 1-1.2 km from the lake taking 40 mins to walk down along other fence. Be prepared to drive 20km extra (1 hour extra drive) from pangong and it seems that they have shifted from the main lake area on May 1. Hot water bags, bathing hot water, 4 layer blankets and entire hospitality is well taken care. Please ask prices before ordering food since they seem to be a little expensive.
Please don’t visit such horrible place, worst experience we had at this place. No proper cleanliness no food option worst quality of breakfast etc. No proper management to look after guest, all mess no words to describe the hospitality they give to the clients.
This place is a treat! It offers you comfort you would never imagine at that height and location. The staff is amazing; they make you feel at home and are ready to go the extra mile. P.s. carry enough woollens.
Services are too good and they followed the proper hygiene, incredible experience at Nature’s Nest Camp, View are just superb, Location is amazing, i love to travel again and again. Thanks to Feel India Tour and Travels,(Indore) for booking.
