Detailed Reviews
I came to Leh for the first time with a group of 6 friends and our 4 nights at Chospa was nothing short of amazing.
We arrived and were immediately greeted in the traditional manner with the traditional scarf and kava tea. The owners personally greeted us and welcomed us. They were so incredibly approachable, humble, friendly and down to earth.
When you first enter, the ambience and minimalist vibe make you feel you’re in a Switzerland lodge but the architecture retains the traditional Ladakhi elements. The rooms are spacious, cosy, and the electric blankets are an added bonus, especially in the winter :)
We had special dietary requirements being vegetarian and Jain. The management, especially the hotel manager Samarth, went above and beyond our expectations to meet all of our needs. Instead of making us eat from the buffet, they would daily set a special menu with us and cook the food separately. From paneer, daal, thai green curry, pizza, momos, stir-fry veggies, lemon coriander soup, dosa, vada…the Jain food was delicious.
We were leaving quite early in the morning and they still made sure to have hot breakfast ready for us and their team helped bring all our luggage down and into our car. I could go and on about how much care and attention to detail this place has for their guests.
The hotel staff is always smiling, especially one of the staff members Ashraf! I don’t think they have the word ‘NO’ in their dictionary. Anything we requested or even casually mentioned, was immediately catered to. On our last night, they organized a night bonfire for our group and surprised us by giving us literally a feast for dinner. It is really rare to find such genuine warmth!
People always say to visit Leh in the summer, but I disagree. Our stay, despite it being the ‘off-season’ was amazing. And much of this is attributed to the warmth and hospitality of Chospa. Ladakh in the winter is truly magical. Chospa is truly unique. It has a homely family personalized feeling while being luxe simultaneously. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. :)!!

I found the amazing deal for this hotel on Luxury Escapes and secured it on Spot. TBH that was the best decision that I ever took in terms of travel as the experience of my stay was beyond expectations.
This is 1st time I was doing a solo trip in extreme weather, however, the time since I landed at Leh Airport I could feel the warmth and hospitality that Chospa offered. The hotel is well located close to the main market and a short drive from the Airport. Unlike cookie-cutter or vanilla service I found the management & rest of the team members really welcoming with genuine attention for care. Unfortunately, I don't recollect the names of each team member who were all-stars within their role.
GM of the hotel Mr Samarth Singhal & Ms Sashi Sherpa from the sales team went beyond their way to help me plan an amazing itinerary.
The team surprised me with a cake on my birthday and it was overwhelming to celebrate my day with the amazing bunch of people I met a day ago.
Something that I noticed and really loved about the hotel is that there were no plastic bottles, stray dogs within the vicinity were provided shelter and food by the team to help furry friends sustain during harsh weather.
I am really looking forward to staying again with them.
Leh in winter is heavenly and worth visiting.

We visited Leh in winter and was very skeptical facing temperature of around minus 10. Journey from airport to hotel left us shivering, but as soon as we stepped into Chospa hotel, Mr.Samarth, who is manager, greeted us very cordially, offered us hot tea and made us very comfortable. Rooms were kept ready by the time we arrived. Rooms have centralized heater plus a tower heater with 24 hours hot water made us very comfortable and relaxed.
Biggest positive of Chospa is its friendly staff and amazing food. Tea here is a must try.
Chospa is also located very near to Leh market which gave us chance to do our shopping in between the trips.

Our visit(group of 4 friends) was during winter, Dec last week and this hotel was easily accessible in the middle of Leh city. This hotel was a suggestion from our trip coordinator “High Mountains” and we never regret for choosing Hotel Chospa. Staffs and the Manager were very courteous and approachable always. Samarth the hotel manager and Stanzin kunzang both were very good in terms of assisting whenever we needed help and wanted suggestions with respect to Shopping, visiting local market. Food is just awesome here. Room is equipped with Centralized heater all the time and a tower heater was also provided. The best thing is beds are equipped with linen warmer which is much required during peak winter time. View from the room was Fabulous.

Our 9 nights, 10 days trip to Ladakh in winter was mesmerizing! From the coldest night going down to -25 C to morning snowfalls kept our interests piqued. While the whole of Ladakh bowed down to the natural forces, Chospa stood tall and proud. The minimal design language (almost akin to industrial design) and the striking resemblance to the royal architectures of Ladakh with their slanting high walls and muted colors make Chospa Hotel a natural extension of the Ladakhi theme.
While carrying a pleasing, easy on the eyes design, Chospa Hotel neatly tucks all the modern technologies one could demand. A beefy central heating system keeps the property warm and cozy while the double-paned glass windows let you enjoy the snowfall perfectly.
Their restaurant defies the remoteness associated with Leh and effortlessly makes you feel at home. The breakfast spread is vibrant and healthy! The breadth of the menu when combined with their cafe never lets you run out of options and the flavor profile reflects the care taken in the preparation. The Chospa family, especially Kunzang and the General Manager Samarth leave no stones unturned to make you comfortable. They are extremely approachable and to our surprise almost never said NO to any kind of request. They truly bring hospitality into their business. The entire staff is extremely active and friendly.
As Marcel Proust eloquently wrote, “The real voyage of discovery consists, not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes”, we thought winters would be the new eyes with which we experience Ladakh. Now I must say, Chospa Hotel in itself lends another pair of eyes to look at Ladakh.

A zen like hotel in the heart of Leh. From the moment we entered the hotel we were welcomed and cared for. The hotel was extremely helpful with altitude and climatic acclimations . The manager was exceptionally nice and caring towards the guests. Each room was well appointed with electric blankets and heated flooring in the bathrooms. I want to return in the summer to experience warm weather in the Himalayas. I highly recommend Chospa.

What a beautiful hotel with decor to relax your soul. Soft music, beautiful smiling faces always greeting you and the perfect location! Very walkable to center of town but enough off main drag to be very quiet. All the staff were fabulous especially the young man who took care of us at breakfast and lunch. Food was very good too! I only have one suggestion, let your customers know they must leave the key at desk if they want their room tidy (not a big deal).

The hotel as the name suggests is very Earthy and warm. The sun glares through the hotel from all directions making it alive.
The rooms are well curated to ones needs and are sufficiently luxurious. However I do have some suggestions that should be included in the rooms. A full size mirror and a locker.
All the rooms are not the same size hence one travelling with family may want to check on that. However, similar facilities are extended in all rooms.
The food is good and the chef is very accommodating if you have certain requests.
The staff is extremely polite and warm and are willing to help at all times.
Lastly, Mr Samarth the general manager of the hotel is the flag bearer of this property and is always available to help out with all needs.
Strongly recommended for a stay in Leh!

Had an amazing stay experience here with the tinge of ladhaki architecture. The stay was very luxurious, comfortable and pleasant with the centrally heated rooms which kept us warm all the time in those freezing cold -20°C and above temperatures.
This hotel is also equipped with electrically heated bed.
The rooms are luxurious and spacious and all made out of earth with all amenities in it.
The View from the Hotel Terrace and rooms is Amazing with snow capped mountains.
Not to miss their cakes from the bakery.
Mr. Samarth(Owner) has planned our meals in such a way that we never felt out of the home.
Not to miss the complimentary beverages, dry fruits and yeah some treats to feed the furry fellows whom you meet on your way to khardungla and other places.
Thank you so much for making our stay memorable.
If its Leh then It will be Chospa Hotel for sure no matter how many times I visit it again and again❤️
