After a lot of research and going through reviews, I decided to stay at this property with my family during my travel to Leh. I stayed here for four nights and had the opportunity to stay in the Deluxe as well as the Super Deluxe rooms.
The property is clean, hygienic and well located. The staff is very helpful. I have to specifically call out the name of Mr. Arvind (manager) and Mr. Deepak (steward) who made our stay very comfortable.
The rooms are big and if you are lucky you may even get a room with a small but own balcony.
The breakfast and dinner are decent. Though there is not too much of variety it is adequate and the taste is good. The stewards are always happy to serve you hot roti's and take care of any other specific asks.
Overall I strongly recommend this property!

Nice hotel with excellent hospitality. Staffs are very cooperative and service by receptionist Mr. Deepak is highly applicable. I like the place and food of the resturant. Throughout the journy from keh to nubra then pangong the experience is good.

Stay was awesome. All amenities were provided. There was oxygen on call service available. Mr. Arvind, the manager there had been really very warm and welcoming. We felt very homely. Also the breakfast and the dinner buffets are available with plenty of options. The location of the hotel is very convenient for the guests to have a stroll in the nearby leh market. Overall experience is amazing.

Had booked this property for03 nights , but vacated the same immediately after the first night since the room was small, crammed and very dirty with stinking quilts. Had to get them exchanged. The window glasses were all stained, the dinner and next day breakfast quality was just so so. There was no soap stand near the shower. Overall a very unpleasant experience. The location is not very good since it is surrounded by other properties of similar height. Had booked it online based on the excellent review but it was a total dis appointment.

The only downside of this hotel is the location as there's a very narrow winding lane that is rocky and not well maintained / repaired. You will need guided help to reach maybe if you're going first time. If driver doesn't know you need to call hotel. Property looks brilliant in pics, maintenance is ok. We were greeted very cordially by staff with Kahwa Tea and traditional scarf. Staff is very freindly and helpful and they had managed a very good tour for entire Ladakh for us back in July'19. We booked directly with hotel. For overnight trip to Nubra, Pangong, Tso Moriri they helped us keep our main luggage in their luggage room safely. Meals are very good, always take in MAP plan with this hotel because it's difficult to go out to eat during dinner if you don't have bike. Even if you have a bike it's suggested to rest in hotel and have food there, quality is superb. One Bengali staff was very helpful. This hotel is definitely a good choice you should try. Room size depends, we got one small room initially but later on got bigger rooms. Ask for it. My wife selected this hotel and it was a very good decision, I loved this trip. (Note: If hotel gives you driver named Sonam, thin guy, short, bald, don't take him, ask for someone else)

Hotel Nalanda has Every thing that one could ask for on a vacation.
To start with reservation experience with senior manager. Then welcome by arvind and rest of staff.
We stayed in super delux room which even had convertible sofa bed. So 1 room was sufficient for family of adults. Room was super clean modern and spacious with balcony offering nice views. Every floor has communal balcony as well.
Food is super delicious and everyday breakfast and dinner had different buffet menus.
There was so much of guidance and advised provided by arvind everyday.
Special mention for tour organizing manager for arranging perfect sightseeing for us.

Tucked away in the corner of the city getting anywhere without transport will entail a good walk. It’s a pleasant enough set up and everything is set up to be this much and no mire. They adhere to their meal timings and the choices in terms meal options are limited. For eg for dinner you will need to have their buffet, a la carte options weren’t available perhaps because of being understaffed due to covid restrictions etc.
Service is alright and the breakfast is pretty good. The rooms are comfortable and large enough with a little sit out.
The Shanti Stupa and the market are close enough but be prepared to walk a bit and build up an appetite

We visited Hotel Nalanda Ladakh during the end of September and thoroughly enjoyed staying in the middle of nature at the Deluxe Room. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well maintained.Location is very good and it only takes about 5 minutes to reach most places in Leh. Hotel is also tucked into a pretty quiet and scenic corner.I went there with my family and had an experience like never before. The property is about 10 minutes from the Mall road. Most significant thing was the breathtaking views, heartwarming hospitality from the staff, and personal thanks to Arvind and Ten Zing for helping us arrange the entire package to Nubra and Pangong.
I will recommend this hotel on any given day.  Our stay was memorable at such a beautiful place!

Had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Nalanda, Leh. The location, rooms, washrooms, room service & restaurant..all is nice! Mr.Stanzin who manages the Hotel (also happens to be the Owner) is extremely supportive and always accessible in case of anything. He planned our trip to Nubra Valley, Tso Moriri and Pangong in a way which helped us to acclimatize well and as such our group of three families had no health issues..whatsoever! He even assisted us courier the extra baggage to our home locations! Sincerely appreciate his gestures!! Also appreciate the prompt services of Mr. Arvind who manages the Hotel front desk. He too is supportive and quite prompt. Strongly recommend Hotel Nalanda for a enjoyable and stress-free vacation while in Leh!!!

It may be walkable but will not advise owing to high altitude lack of oxygen.
Yes vehicles go right up to the hotel. They have ample parking space in compound.
Hi...if you personally ask me its better to plan your itinerary and get in touch with travel agent to make arrangements prior landing in leh. (always be on safer side)
So travelling to pangong lake and same day to nubra valley is not possible (different routes)
For pangong lake you need to stay over night at the camps opposite pangong lake, next day you have to be back to leh again and the following day you can leave for nubra valley.
P.S : Most of the time the route to nubra valley is one way , due to army convey moments.
Enjoy your trip...
There are more places to choose from in the Leh area.
