The indus valley is the regular run of the mill business hotel. It has large spacious rooms with excellent hot water showers but desperately lacks in service. Nobody offered to take our bags when we entered or left the hotel. The receptionist gave us rooms away from each other despite us telling him we are a family of 5. Food was average and the restaurant refused to serve coffee before 8am even though the hotel claimed to have 24hrs Cafe services. When we checked out of the hotels (carrying our suitcases ourselves btw..) one of the staff had the audacity to tell us to give him a good review on trip advisor when he didn't help us in any way.
We booked 2 rooms and requested for early check in. Got it confirmed multiple times by calling the hotel well in advance. But on the day of arrival we got our 2nd room around 2.00 pm. They said that they were not able to locate booking for our second room hence did not provision for it - very strange and hard to believe. When we enquired we were bluntly told by the hotel manager - Mr Sonum that we should wait and he knows what he is doing - it reflected sheer arrogance. On the day of check out at 7.30 am we received a call from reception to checkout ASAP, the person was quite rude and unreasonable. We had to reason out that check out time is 10.00 am and we will check out before that. I did complain about it to another staff at reception and requested for phone number of hotel senior management - he shared a number which never gets answered - supposedly it was phone number of hotel GM. Overall great potential in the property but needs better management.…
We were pretty happy that we could get booking in this peak season and paid a hefty amount. UNDERSTAFFED!!! Upon arrival check in took about 90 minutes as the room was not ready by 3:30 pm. There was only one room service staff serving the entire hotel. Nobody was picking up phone at the reception or at room service at around 9:30 pm. Breakfast was below par for the price we paid. 17000 a night so OVERVALUED.
We stayed at the Indus Valley for a week (6 nights) and the stay was absolutely wonderful. The location of the hotel is one of the best if you are the walking explorer. Its just a short 5 min walk away from the main market and has some of the most popular cafes in its vicinity. The staff is very friendly and helpful here. Everyone from the reception staff to the restaurant manager and even the chef are very welcoming and warm. The restaurant manager and the chef helped us with some custom dinner requests as well. Food at the restaurant here is absolutely amazing! The breakfast & dinner buffet will be worth your money hands down with the number of options everyday. The Travel Desk also helped us book cabs for sight-seeing along with suggesting very cool places to visit based on our preferences. Rigzen from the helpdesk was especially helpful in planning our day trips and it was absolutely the best experience for us. Overall, it was our 2nd trip to Ladakh and the best experience yet! Will definitely be visiting again!…
We booked this hotel for 3 days and are have paid in full the amount. 1. We got a very bad view room despite paying the highest, rather not a view at all. We requested many times but to no avail. 2. The water in the bathroom was either very hot or very cold as the mixer was not working well, so bathing was always a disaster. 4. Commode seat was broken when we checked in. 5. Exhaust in the bathroom never worked. 6. Room heater was turned on after a trillion requests, only for some hours at night, it was shut down at some unknown time at night and the room was freezing cold and we both caught cold as we are not used to the cold weather. And no one listens to damn anything . 7. No toiletry in room, given hours after calling 8. Carpet dirty 9. Food - worst ok earth, we called for thukpa in dinner and what arrived was a mess of corn flour slurry with spare cabbage and no flavour. They dont have good or even average cooks 10. Complimentary rasgulla they served, hard like tennis balls. 11. Lastly you keep talking to the walls on phone as no one listens to your requests and even if they do, it takes ages. Underline - never stay here…
Our stay at the Indus Valley hotel was nothing short of spectacular. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff indviduallly and collectively were worth every bit of praise. A special shout out to Shashi Thakur who handled our reception, our wining dining and was practically everywhere for us. The front desk Anu and Ilene helped with our inner line passes. Prince and Pavan in the kitchen made the choicest of cusines. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Leh.
Lovely hotel Very nice , warm (with heater very important in Ladakh)and comfortable with a very nice view The food at the restaurant is great and also the location The people that work in the place are very nice and helpful. I recommend this hotel a lot, hope I could come again soon.
The hotel is gud, service is also also gud including food tase staff behaviour etc. all things are perfect but the prices are overrated as in these prices you can stay at other 5 star rated property like abduz etc. Food quality is gud and satisfactory
Pathetic experience. Constant construction noises, Bedsheets and pillows full of dirt and hair. Worst experience ever. The staff is not at all helpful. Only two staff present in the property and no one listens to your complains. Shower broken, bedsheets dirty, the staff will keep entering your room without your permission all day, they keep changing breakfast time according to their convenience. This hotel deserves not a single penny to be spent on. They will cheat you with high room tariff and not provide you anything. Constant disturbing construction in the resort creates noisy and irritable environment all day long.
The hotel has great location, very close to the main market. Room was good and maintained well. Staff was courteous but limited to cater to the amount of guests. The worst part was that there was a construction happening in the hotel which made it terrible for us to stay at the hotel during the day. The continuous banging during our entire stay even after multiple daily complaints made it absolutely disgusting. There are no additional facilities offered like gym, spa, pool etc. The food spread and quality is average. So, overall highly overrated and overpriced for the services provided.
