we stayed here from 1-Aug to 3-Aug and then from 6-Aug-7-Aug. Stanzin Sonam had booked our entire holiday spanning Leh, Numbra, Turtuk, Pangong. We had a lovely time, and all the arrangements were spot on. The Kaal is great, we stayed in their old rooms as well as new ones. We loved the hotel and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is not too far from all the action - the market, the hall of fame, Shanti Stupa etc. We strongly recommend this place.
Kaal hotel is an excellent hotel. The staff are every friendly and supporting. The food in the restaurant was excellent and sumptuous. The hotel, sight seeing and taxi packages, organised by Kaal Hotel's Stanjin ( +91 99992 27196) and Partha ( he runs his travel packages from Bangalore ( +91 99806 76610) was really a royal treat, as we had very skillful, capable and caring drivers with good cars ( Xylo-Mushtaq - +91 94692 68633 who took us around Leh, Nubra Valley, Pangong lake) and Mohammed Bakker ( 96229 82752 who took us around Leh, Drass and Kargil areas) . We saw absolutely everything that is there to see in the region, thanks to the efficient and tight itinerary and support that we got, at attractive packages Lastly, when our flights got cancelled due to bad weather, Stanjin and Partha helped us get back to the hotel for the next 3 days. We stayed at this hotel from the 17th - 23rd of July and I am pleased to share my amazing experience during the stay. They gave us a warm traditional welcome. Management team - Mr. Stanzin and Mr. Rigzin was kind enough to allot us the room of my choice with a balcony view although the hotel was running on high occupancy. Buffet breakfast was amazing which covers almost everything you would want to have for breakfast, Restaurant staff supported us and addressed all our requests. Room service, Cleanliness, and Support staff were all hard-working and generous enough to resolve any issues we have on priority. Many thanks to The Kaal hotel Leh team for all your support and superb hospitality.
1) Windows viewing wall just 4 feet apart. 2) Stinky old restaurant and corridor 3) Lounge area seats old and uncomfortable 4) half of the property needs renovation. They are building new rooms and not taking care of the old ones. 5) We were 15 people in group. Travelled 8 days in ladakh. Almost same food all places roti sabji dal chawal. Requested the restaurant manager to include khichdi (1 simple thing) in buffet. But NO. We dont have khichdi. 6) While checkout 8 staff people were roaming around my car for TIP. Good: 1) Nice breakfast and dinner buffet spread. 2) Quick room service. 3) Easy checkout.
I came to Leh for buisness/leisure and had a relaxing getaway in this atmosphere.The service and food at the hotel were remarkable.The hotel's location near to the airport is a definite thumbs up.I would highly recommend to experience the beauty of the Kaal.
This review is for Stanzin Sonam and entire Kaal team..the hospitality we have received was wonderful and the food there is delicious and u will be spoilt of choices. We have taken the entire Ladakh package of 9days through Stanzin and it was one of our best experience as it was designed so meticulously. Also at last moment we had to make changes in our plan of comin bck to Leh from Pangong early as one of our family member was having breathing issues, which also Stanzin adjusted and accomodated at the last moment which I am sure no other travel agent would have done. If I had to talk about The Kaal, I will have to talk about the Hospitality, Breathtaking Views, Food and location. All the staffs are very cooperating and always extending their helping hands wherever required. They will arrange everything for you at a minimum price. Most importantly, you will meet Stanzin Sonam who is an athlete and always be at your service. Sonam will explain you all the Do's and Don'ts which will help you to plan your trip safely. I will rate them 9 on 10 for their hospitality. I have deducted 1 mark because they don't have any elevator in their premises which may create trouble for elder people. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. Not only the staff but the hotel owner too went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable and memorable. They were always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door. They also were able to recommend places to go and all the other important things that we needed as well. The hotel exceeded my expectations as it provided us with high-quality service, delicious food, and rooms with scenic views for such a great deal! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting here.
Good rooms, spacious bathrooms and running hot water along with a very accommodating and sweet staff. The food at the buffet was just amazing. You will get to choose from different varieties of options. Not only the staff but owner too is very humble and accommodating. I had visited with my girl gang and not even for second we felt unsafe or uncomfortable. All in all, had a very comfortable stay at The Kaal. Looking forward to stay again.
I had a good experience at the hotel kaal. The rooms were very clean , and the staff at the property are all incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. Specific appreciation to Stanzin sonam for his humbleness. Thanks for making our visit to leh so much better.
