This review is coming late, but its an absolutely honest review. Sheenwynds managed by Shaan aunty is everything we could ask for on our trip. We stayed here on our way to leh. Its a beautiully managed home in the heart of the city. Both the home as well as the people are really welcome. The homestay is done up in great taste by Shaan aunty. Every piece of decor has its own story to tell. If antique decor with rich wooden interiors is your idea of a richly done homestay then this ones for you. It also has a very well kept garden. The stay is made comfortable with the service of Aunty's team of well chosen and warm attendents who take care of every query you can up with. Special mention Sajjansinghji looked after us really well. It also comes with fingerlicking good food. would recommend it to anyone who wishes to have a warm homestay away from home.…

Sheenwynds homestay , at Magarmal locality is ensconed in the heart of Srinagar, and gives a feeling of a cottage stay. Shaan is such a bubbly host, you feel she is family. Showering the place with her special fragrance of food , care hospitality. A little kichenette, wifi, a wonderful garden, good food and a topper desert was all I needed in a home. The garden needs a tad more touch up. Places of commercial activity and tourist spots are quite close, so saves on conveyance charges. Of course ask the host for travel cost to varied locations and be armed with information on travel expenditure otherwise you maybe taken for a huge ride .. Kashmir is somewhere you loose yourself, so go ahead and get lost ...;)

Had a simply fantastic time at Sheenwynds, both in Srinagar and Pahelgam! Was overwhelmed by the hospitality and warm-hearted generosity of Shaan ji and her lovely family and household staff. While the bathroom wasn't to my exacting standards, I would very happily give this place 5-stars for the 'experience' that we had here. We were part of a girls group through F5, and while we were supposed to be 8, we were finally only the two of us as a lot of the other ladies were from Kerala and had to cancel because of the flood situation. We were initially very disappointed but Shaan ji never let us feel the lack of company and personally took us around the different places on the itinerary. I personally learnt a lot by the way Shaan ji comported herself and handled all the people we met during the course of the holiday. I was particularly impressed with the way she cared for her household staff and her can-do attitude towards life. We have such lovely memories of Kashmir...I'd love to be back someday!…
