We stayed at the Dar Es Salam property after reading all the reviews. The view is unbeatable by the gorgeous Nigeen lake and they have a beautiful garden with the most delightful flowers. The negatives though are the poor service and for this I blame the owners / management. They have a group of 4-5 staffers servicing the whole property from early morning till late at night. No wonder the wait staff is so rude. Breakfast timing we were told is from 7.30-10.30 however at 8.45 there was no sign of breakfast. We had to leave at 9 am for another trip. Reason for this delay was that the staff was working late for a party the night before for another group. How do you run a hotel like this ? The second issue we had was our shower flooded. They sent someone to fix it but he

We 8 golfers stayed here very recently. The worst experience ever. The staff was very rude, unhelpful, arrogant and full of attitude. You can’t get own food at the property. Rooms are stuffy and have no exhaust.

This boutique 14 room hotel is in the heart of the city at the Nagin lake. The hospitality, warmth, beauty of this hotel is something else. You really dont feel like ur on this planet. Food was AMAZING. my husband was slamming on their meat and this roti called "Sheermal" is a must have. It feels like home cause they have these beautifl cosy common rooms on the first floor that use to be our hang out place at the hotel in the evenings and the morning we use to order our kahwa and walnut cookies and sit by the lake on the lawn. The lake is full of lotus flowers its just GORGEOUS i can go on and on and on. BEST stay of my trip.

Its a rich man's villa on Nigeen Lake converted to a botique hotel. Tastefully done up, with about 12-14 rooms and a beautiful location, this hotel has my heart. It feels like home, not a hotel. The big lawn is a delight to sit in at sunset and sunrise. Staff is nice and friendly. Food is quite good, though slightly on the expensive side (esp the dinner buffet). Rooms decor is acceptable, though not newly furnished, they are clean. Bathroom is clean and reasonable sized. Taps and faucets are not latest, hence water flow was slow at times. But hot water is available in plenty. The hotel feels safe and feels like home. Look forward to staying here again soon!

Stunning location by Nagin Lake. Old mansion superbly renovated. Great gardens. Lake bank. Fabulous meal. Caring staff. Could improve on the small things - intercom wasn’t working, wifi was weak, AC remote needed battery change, a bulb needed replacement. Options/menu could be better explained. But overall, highly recommended. Will be back soon!

One of tbe best properties i have visited in my life. It is under the radar. A boutique home converted into a hotel. It has history and artefacts that you find in ny palace hotel. The locatìon is right on the lake . Its like staying on a houseboat. The service is so good that it is unreal. There is no wish that was not completed. Mr. HAMEED is gem that you very rarely come across. Also they have an in house travel guide JAVED.who must be taken along for a different and filtered genuine feel of Kashmir. There is just knowledge flowing here. The food is fantastic. The rrestaurant overlook the lake . Every meal becimes an experience. Hot water is 24 hrs. The linen and rooms are heritage and classy. A Sony TV will a full fledged TATA sky. Every feel a global 5 star is here .

One of the best views you can get in a Srinagar hotel. Right on Nageen Lake. Fabulous hospitality and staff. Amazing food, one of the best in the city. Shikara rides from the hotel lawns. What more do you want in Zannat.

Hotel Dar Es Salam, where do I even begin? With a location to die for, the hotel in itself is beautifully decorated. The antiques and vintage decor adds to the beautiful surrounding. Mr. Abdul Hamid and his staff are professional and the most helpful. They arranged good quality Nadroo for us to take back home. Their hospitality is flawless. Coming to the property- it's amongst the most attractive places I have ever had privilege to stay during my travels. What is even better (as if it could be) was the food. Hands down the best food I had in my entire trip. This place and the people are worth every moment of your time spent in Kashmir. I have already planned a longer stay on my next visit.

A quaint and cute hotel on the bank of the Nigeen lake, the hotel ceases to be a hotel and becomes your home, the moment you check in. Excellent hospitality, warm and efficient staff, fabulous heating made our stay a memorable one. Oh! How can I not mention about the awesome food. In fact, some authentic Kashmiri dishes were better than other popular Kashmiri cuisine restaurants in the city. Views from the hotel is amazing. The lawn ends where the lake begins. A Shikara ride begins literally from the hotel itself. We have already planned a visit in spring/summer.
