In the peak season of May, we were obliged by the owner Firdous bhai to accommodate us for 1 night stay in Blooming Dale as a last minute entrant, and trust me I went there only to feel at home and experience his hospitality after some very strong recommendations and canceled my stay at some place else. Hospitality is par excellence which comes from his very rich background in terms of his world class experience and it slowly starts growing on you as soon as you meet him and are welcomed to his property.. The property is a few minutes walk from the Dal lake, stragically positioned even in terms of happening restaurants nearby and offers you an easy night walk around. The room had a beautiful view overlooking green lawns and some pretty pink flowers blossomed all over. The kahwa and the breakfast were perfect English styled and I was honestly surprised to get the perfectly done crisp breads which one generally tends to compromise on in tourist places....Thats why we call it home and not a hotel ! Being a regular traveler for work and staying in 5 star or 6 star properties- this small place called Blooming Dale ruled out any other stay I ever had in terms of human touch and care. Mir bhai the cook is only an extension of the warmth this place exudes. Highly recommended place to stay in Srinagar !…
Firdous made my stay at Srinagar feel as comfortable as I was at my home. Firdous will go out of the way to ensure you are comfortable. Once I got late to come back from my dinner, Firdous was trying to check if I am safe, I did not pick up my phone so he came all the way in his car to check if I was alright. It felt cared like a family member. He suggested very nice things I could do there. He took me in his own car for the Old Srinagar Heritage Tour. My room was beautiful with a garden view, spacious and very clean. The bathroom facilities were excellent.
Two days in Blooming days were like staying your own house in the heart of Srinagar. There can not be better host than Mr Firdaus. He looks after your all needs. For explorer like me got all the information needed from him and he guided us as per our choice. This was my 4th visit to Kashmir & needed all about off trail locations. Hotel is clean, descent, centrally located and all staff were excellent. It was only because of Firdaus we did Srinagar downtown walking tour. Kashmir is beautiful but people like Firdaus adds to it's beauty.
Blooming Dale is a rare hotel..well-located being close to Dal lake, nice size of rooms, clean, well-appounted and comfortable with Mr Meer always there to make you tea; kahwa etc But the REAL bonus 8f the place is friendly Firdaus who puts himself and his family villa's charming garden at your disposal One can see that he is one of those specially hospitable people who gets genuine pleasure from helping visitors What a gem of a person and what a gem of a place Blooming Dale will surely be mt home whenever I return to Srinagar; which I surely will.
Location is very good near Dal lake and market. Hotel room is very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner was also very delicious. The garden inside the premises is very beautiful. Mr. Firdaus(owner) is an excellent gentleman and very courteous. Taking great care of all details during the stay. Looking forward to going to Srinagar again soon and staying at Bloomingdale.
When travelling, any place is only as good as its people . This would make Srinagar the most beautiful place for me. Mr. Firdaus, the most charming host, has truly created a home away from home. The food is amazing, the stay is lovely- Blooming Dale has been a highlight of my trip. Looking forward to visiting again.
I stayed in Bloomingdales with my family from 14th Feb to 17th Feb. It is a small but comfortable hotel in the bylanes of the Boulevard. The rooms are spacious with basic amenities. There is a small well kept lawn where you can enjoy your morning tea. i was mesmerized by the beautiful snowball flowers growing there. But what swept me off my feet was the amazing hospitality of the host Mr. Firdaus. From guiding us with the itinery to personally taking us to a shop where we could purchase Kashmiri goods, he was ready with a helping hand. His knowledge of Kashmir's history is impressive and it was always a pleasure chatting with him. On the last day he regaled us by singing la beautiful ghazal. He also gave us a box of kesar as a gift. And of course there was Mir Bhai who was always there serving us the most rejuvenating Kahwa or even namkeen tea. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Bloomingdale . It is a place you would like to visit again…
We stayed in blooming dale, Srinagar for 7 Days in first week of April 2022. We chose this hotel after reading positive reviews. I must say it exceeded all our expectations. Starting with welcome drink kawa, warm hospitality of Mr. Firdous, owner of hotel. Hotel is conveniently located near dal gate boulevard. Rooms are spacious , clean and well maintained. What adds to its charm is lawn where we used to have morning breakfast. Mr. Firdous is very knowledgeable person. His insights about kashmir history, culture and discussion about many topics made our stay really memorable. Food at hotel is just awesome. It is like home cooked food. Mir bhai is excellent cook and takes care of each and every small request smilingly. Mr. Firdous arranged transport for us at very reasonable rates and guided us about many offbeat destinations. He took out time for us and did guided tour of old Srinagar which was very sweet gesture on his part. You get feel of home stay here. It is really value for money. It is highly recommended if you are visiting Srinagar.…
I stayed in Bloomingdale with my family for 5 days towards the end of March 2022 after going through the positive reviews across platforms and trust me we did not regret for a moment. From the location of the property which is a stone's throw away from the hub of Srinagar's tourism Dal lake Boulevard road and yet peacefully tucked away without the noise to the excellent food served it was a very enjoyable stay. Mr. Firdaus's warm hospitality and deep knowledge ranging from Kashmir's history and heritage to local sightseeing, shopping treasure hubs and restaurants ensured we spent a good amount of time outside our rooms in the lobby having a wonderful time. Of course the review will not be complete unless I mention Mir bhai who was always ready with a smiling face to cater to guests whims and orders - his selfless energy and warmth, coupled with mind-blowing cooking abilities completely floored all of us. You would miss the place after you return and want to visit the place again soon!…
I visited Jammu and Kashmir between 17-23 March. It was a solo trip and I was very apprehensive. But my stay at Bloomingdale made the trip a memorable one. The room was comfortable and warm, the host Mr Firdaus Ahmed, and hotel staff, were very warm, hospitable and cordial. He always made sure I had all my needs met. The food was superbly delicious, and tailor-made for me. Even my requests were met, and homely Kashmiri cuisine made for me. Plus, the occasional Kahwa really energised me. The hotel is located near the Dal Boulevard and every day I enjoyed the morning/evening walks along the lake. It was a homely experience overall.
