We were a group of 17 people, all within family & friends. Our trip to the paradise on earth was made memorable by Mr. Nazir Ahmed & his team’s hospitality & the warmth we got. Right from lading at Srinagar Airport & till we bid adieu to Srinagar, they helped us with every possible manner (That too when it snowed heavily on December 31st whole day)
The Hotel is cozy, comfortable and very well maintained & importantly it’s right on the Dal Lake – The heart of Kashmir. Their advice on the sightseeing trips was very useful. The best part was the excellent package offered to us by Mr. Nazir Ahmed (He didn't bother about percentage advance – But ensured all our bookings were in place – We paid a token advance)
Would surely recommend this property to friends & family members travelling to Srinagar.
Last but not the least, wishing Nazir & his entire team “All the best & keep up the good work”

me n my wife plan to go to srinagar.we book hotel online dal view resort. i dont imagine we had wonderful experince in dal view resort. its fun we enjoy a lot because of dal view staf n special owner ther r very helpful n guide all things. ty again dal view owner for your support. dal view resort location is very nice because of location is behind houseboat.overall ouer experince is very nice.

Hi.. I visited Kashmir first time in my life in Sep, 2015. I booked this houseboat NOT hotel for 2 days after reading reviews and reply on trip advisor.. But when I reached there I came to know that its under the Dal lake.. Every Time, when we used to go in the market or any other area, we have to travel through Shikara.. That was very big task for us.. And Its almost the last houseboat in the Dal Lake.. At the time of booking, I didn't find any such information on website.. Also, I booked this hotel for Rs. 4100 for 2 rooms for 2 days, but in reality they were not worth a single penny.. Think many times before booking..
After reaching to this houseboat so called HOTEL.. There is no cleanliness in rooms.. Rooms were so pathetic.. Some weird smell always prevails in the room.. There were so many worms, spider in the rooms.. We stayed there only for 2 Hrs and left instantly..
They didn't even refund our money for other day.. We requested them many times but they didn't help us in any way..
I just want that if anyone wants to try this hotel cum houseboat, think atleast 10 times before booking..

I stayed here in March15. One has take a shikara ride each time to reach the boulevard road or to go to shopping or eating. Rooms are not that up to the mark to call it a resort. There was no supply of running hot water also. Dal lake is not visible from the rooms. One has to come outside and walk upto the jetty where houseboats are stationed to get a view. Food was too much overpriced. They charged us Rs 1700 for chiken meal of four of us. I wdnt recommend anyone to stay here.

We have booked this hotel from make my trip around 6 months ago before our journey on 06/04/14 ,when we reached there they have given us rooms adjacent to the hotel in a nasty houseboat , when we asked about this they said this is their deluxe room which we have booked.Then and there we called up make my trip and asked them that "what they showed in the picture before booking was not actually the same" , within in a minute Make my trip representative called the owner and the owner told us "if you don't like to stay you can take back the money", this is how the behave. we were with our grand parent who is about 80years old, just think what is the feeling, we said "yes" and on the very next day we have shifted to a semi standard hotel near Rajbagh. My suggestion is before booking this hotel please directly talk to the owner first. Here make my trip has given a service which is horrible..

We have booked the room for 4 nights after viewing the good rating in trip advisor but it was just opposite the reort or you can say guest house is situated oppsite the dal lake all the time you need the SHIKARA to cross the lake after paying rs 50/- per trip. Regarding hoel the room is very small and no body is respose to your words it is just like a JAIL all the time you will depend on the murcy of the hotel people. Food order to be givenon advance they will not provdethe food as per your wish you cannot find any thing around the guest house.Over all it is nor a hotel nither a hose boat it is just a small guest house with a very less number of rooms.We had cheaked out the room in the next day as we had paid the rent for 4 nights and took the hotel in dal gate side.

Dear Travelers this people was 4/nights booking with us,after first night they say we want shift other place ,but we have hold the rooms for four nights ,it was not possible to refund same day, this is the reason,they have wrote ,bad review.

I booked the the "dal view resort" 14th and 18th and 19th of October 2013.I have been cheated by taking booking at dal view resort. There is no resort or hotel by the name "dal view resort" .i booked the hotel through Agoda.com . We were given to stay in a houseboat called "the golden hind" where we were very roughly and rudely handled. The rooms were not good, there was no proper arrangement of hot water in the bathroom at night.Waiter was ill mannered. The owners of the houseboat behaves very rudely with all his guests.This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

I was staying at Hotel Dal view resort, Srinagar J&K for 10 nights /11 days with my family on 21 nov ,2014. The stay was pleasant,and the food was also good . Rooms were comfortable . and wi-fi facility was good. All the staffs were good , honest.and caring. the owner of the Resort Mr. Nazir Dandoo is really honest person.and he is ever ready to help there for any problem. after all the trip was owsome .. i shall stay in the same resort whenever i and my family go to srinagar again..

I booked this resort through Expedia.com well in advance but when reached there I was surprise to know that to reach there one will have to take Shikara. They have not mentioned anywhere that this so called resort is actually at the back of Dal Lake. More shocking was despite my booking I was forced to stay at another Houseboat because there was no room available at Dal View resort. Second day I was shifted to Dal view resort. There was no proper service, No attendant and very bad washrooms. Not recommended at all to stay.
