I,along with 4 of my friends had an opportunity to stay at this beautiful property owned and managed by the charming and lovely lady Ms Yasmin Hussein. Yasmin who lives in an adjacent bungalow is very hospitable and will make you feel completely at home. The homestay is located amidst a quiet residential centre yet in close proximity to a few tourist attractions like the Dal lake which is barely a 10 mins drive and also to the main shopping areas and some of the good restaurants and cafes in the city....It's only a 20 mins drive from the airport.Hence it's a perfect balance of peace and hustle bustle After a hectic day of exploring the city one can unwind and relax in this calm and peaceful homely abode which offers utmost privacy. Travellers Inn is a 5 bedroom well equipped and tastefully decorated cottage with all the modern amenities and a beautiful garden. A special mention to the very pleasant caretakers Mudassir and Mehraaj who made our stay comfortable....very cooperative and took care of all our needs Indeed it's a "home away from home" Thankyou guys and thankyou Yasmin for being a wonderful host Looking forward to coming back again

In our quest to find a great holiday in Kashmir, we stayed at this beautiful & elegant homestay in Srinagar... Travellers Inn. Situated in the beautiful Rajbag area, the house is a majestic heritage property with a great garden...beautiful flowers, sweet berry laden fruit trees and colorful birds like the great indian paradise fly-catcher. The home is very kids friendly (we had 4 of them) & is an exceptionally chill out place for adults alike. We enjoyed our stay for 6 days and wished we had more... Tasty breakfast & dinner with Punjabi & Kashmiri dishes were served hot. Some self cooking can also be done if needed. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The common living room and kitchen are really tastefully done up with traditional décor. The open garden adds to the overall charm as its visible from all the rooms of the house.. The home is walking distance from the central market and a 10 min drive from the dal lake. Very good restaurants like Ahdoos and Chai-Jai are a 10 min walk away. It was a great experience staying at Travellers Inn. It's a great destination especially if you are planning a chill stay in Kashmir. Yasmin ma'am (the owner) is a great host & helped us plan our itineraries & was really very helpful throughout. I truly believe this is one of the best homestays in India (and I have been to many before). The overall experience was so good that we would truly like to visit again. Suggestion - since the home, the garden and the food is so beautiful, I seriously recommend planning at least a full day of do-nothing & just staying home while in travellers inn. The experience is not complete until you truly enjoy the home at least for 1 day if not more. Beautiful home - 5 stars Cleanliness & professionalism - 5 stars Hospitality - 5 stars Food - 5 stars

We stayed at Traveller's Inn for 3 days during our visit to Srinagar and to say the least, we were overwhelmed by the hospitality of the people. Traveller's inn is located in a very residential area in Srinagar and is owned by Ms Yasmin Hussain. This is one of the most beautiful properties we have seen - a beautiful cottage with all amenities and a wonderful garden area. The owner stays with her family in the next house and she is such a wonderful person. She will do everything to make sure your stay is absolutely perfect. The staff are courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. Stay at traveller's inn made our stay so memorable. From home-made food to tea-time gupshups, everything made us feel like we are at home. For anyone travelling to Srinagar, we would highly recommend this place. Just book this place and you are guaranteed to have a stress-free stay. Our special thanks to all the staff of traveller's inn, especially Mr Mudasar for being there for us all the time and obliging to all our requests with a big smile. Also, a big hug to Yasmin and family for treating us like a family

This was our first ever trip to Kashmir. We were a group of six adults and two kids and decided to start our trip with a stay at Traveller's Inn, Srinagar for four nights. The cottage is beautifully done with five spacious rooms three of which have washroom's attached. Along with the rooms you get a living area which is quite spacious, attractive and well furnished. There is also an attached kitchen where you can do some basic cooking if needed. The cottage has a nice garden as well. We fell in love with the cottage the moment we stepped in. Kids also had a gala time with all the space they got to run around inside and outside. The hosts - Yasmin and her entirely family are very friendly and accommodating. They would go out of their way to help you. We had plenty of interesting conversations with them. One of the highlights of our stay was the food prepared by their cook - Sarfaraz, it was simply delicious and hospitability shown by the support staff - Muddasir, Meheraj. T The stay at Traveller's Inn was memorable where we made some great friends and built memories that would stay for a long time. Will surely visit them again.

This wonderful cottage greets you all of a sudden from behind the large gates that do not reveal the serenity that lies waiting within. We were a group of 10 people and had booked the entire cottage as part of a workshop with various craftspeople of Srinagar. Of the 11 days I spent here, I do not recall one where I had not woken up refreshed from the deepest sleep I have experienced yet in the past couple of years. The lawns and garden are the best place for a morning cup of tea, as well as the late night Kahwah before heading indoors to the just-right bedrooms. Since we were a group, I did manage to peek into the size and light of each room. I don't think one can complain of any of them being less or more relaxing. If the Srinagar sunlight greets you in one, it is definitely birdsong in the other. Yasmeen the owner is a wonderful host and not once during my stay did I feel that I was a formal guest. I would recommend this place to anyone seeking the quiet beauty of the valley. Whether it is for a day, or a week.

I was recommended Yasmin Hussein’s homestay by a friend who had spent a year working in Srinagar and it was the best advice I got. Travellers Inn Srinagar is a bungalow in Rajbagh away from the multitude of tourists thronging the city for the summer vacations and yet a 10 min drive into the heart of the shopping district, which is Polo View . You also have the option to take a shikara across the river and get to the Bund in a leisurely way avoiding the traffic. We spent 11 days in the city and every evening back from our wanderings, coming to our spacious two bedroom cottage was like coming home. A large lawn , a multitude of flowering plants and a place to play badminton , two dogs, a couple of ducks, one cockerel, 3 sheep and one can understand why kids will love this place. A large lounge and dining room where we had many wonderful meals ,courtesy the cook Hilal, his Kashmiri Saag was a huge hit and I got him to show me how he made it. And as for Mudassir, who looks after the place , house-keeper, man-friday and an ace badminton player all rolled into one , a big thank-you for the super service. Our hosts, Yasmin and Zulfi were ever ready to accomodate our many requests and provide us with information on where to do what in Srinagar. They were gracious and warm and by the end of our holiday made us feel like we were part of their extended family. This is the place to stay at for a home away from home in Srinagar.

We were 11 of us & had booked the entire bungalow for a night (6th Sept 2014 - a day before the floods). We were coming back from our trek in the himalayas and after living in 6x6 tents for almost a week we all looked fwd for a comfortable stay & Travellers Inn just provided that. The bungalow beautifully sits right opposite joggers park in the main Raj bagh area. All the rooms were clean and tidy and had a very cozy old world charm to it. The living area looks out to a well maintained lawn which had become a pond during our visit due to the continuous rains. Yasmeen: the owner of the property is a gem of a person. She is very active and full of information. Its just because of her that we all are back to our homes safe and sound. Yasmeen got some red alert regarding the floods late in the night and she was quick enough to move us out to her friends hotel (Comrade inn) for the night which was a turning point for all of us because by mid morning the next day her cottage was half under water. The whole ground floor was submerged. After 4 days in comrade inn and finally getting rescued by the Army boats when we reached the road we saw Yasmeen right there and were so happy to see her back. Even she was relieved to see us all and guided us further as how to reach the Raj Bhawan from where the Army was dropping ppl to Srinagar or Delhi airports. We haven't paid her in advance for our stay and she further denied to take any money from us. We had to literally shove the money in her hands and force her to take it. We all will definitely come back just to stay at Travellers inn.

We were 2 couples with 3 children including an infant. Had read good reviews of this place on TA and decided to book. The bungalow is located on the main road but as soon as we are in the property you do not hear any noise from outside. It is a very nice property with a lawn in front. The ground floor has 2 rooms (one with attached bath and another smaller for kids), living and dining area. The first floor has 3 rooms. We had booked the ground and one on first floor. Our understanding was that whoever booked the ground floor would get to use the living area and though there were guests a couple of nights in the other rooms on 1st floor, they never disturbed us. We stayed here for 4 nights and we were very happy we were here instead of a hotel. We could relax together in the living room after a tiring sightseeing day and kids got space to move around. The rooms were very neat and clean as well as the bathrooms. The owner Ms.Yasmin has maintained the property very well. We met her father once during breakfast and it was very nice to talk to him and share our thoughts. We met the whole family on the last day, very nice and decent people. They stay in another bungalow just adjancent to this one. Unfortunately there was no WiFi which would have been great to share our pics with family members as there all 3G interenet services don't work in Kashmir (Vodafone 3G didn't work). Ms.Yasmin has promised to look into this. Mudassar the caretaker is a nice person who takes care of things. He is polite and completely non intrusive. The cook Bahadur is part time and made excellent vegetarian dinner for us. We had Kashmiri Baingan and Kasmiri Biryani which were too good. The food quality was excellent. Only suggestion we had was allowing some food to be packed for kids and some more breakfast options. If you are a group and can preferably book the whole ground floor, I would very highly recommend this place. It will be very relaxing and give you a complete homely feel. In fact the guests who were using only the upper rooms were also as much happy as we were. Ms.Yasmin also recommended us the best driver we have ever travelled with till date, Arif Sheikh and we are very thankful to her for this recommendation.
