My friend and I had the great pleasure and luck to meet Mr Bashir. We stayed also in the boat house Young Alzira which is part of the same business as the Hotel. Lovely people, you see that they put an effort into making their guest feel right and well served. They offer a wide range of services and package that are sure to please anyone while they are in Srinagar. I do recommend to make arrangement with them, honest people they will do there best to make your trip a pleasant and stress free experience. Thank you again to have made our trip to Srinagar a great memory. Alex

This place is approximately 1.5 km away from Dal lake and you would need to have personal car/cab to rach this Hotel. Staff and management was very helpfull and cooperative. I stayed in this Hotel for 3 days and covered Sonmarg, Gulmarg & Pahalgam. All the three locations are in three different directions hence minimum three days are required. Food was also good and tasty 😋 you can get it customised as per your demand as well. Property is average when it cimes to built however I would rate it as excellent when it comes to value for money. Hotel management arranged the cab for me hence I enjoyed every single minute there without thinking about logistics challanges.

Rooms - We booked four rooms two triple and two double rooms .Both were very spacious along with balcony two rooms had a clear view of dal lake. Rooms came with TV bathtub big chair and table Food wad good and they prepared lamp curry on our requested. The staff noor and kumar were too friendly and prepared tea cofee and provided hot water at all times. The food is served down in their dinning room and also in lawn. A beautiful garden is at front place. They even arranged a local slight seeing for dal and mohal gardens when we asked.

The hotel is located about a km away from dal lake on the mountain top. The approach to the lake is not so great with a narrow road going towards the lake. The hotel has a good lawn and a restaurant where they served breakfast and other items on prior request. The staff was friendly and view of the dal lake was good albeit from height and a distance. The rooms we booked for 3 adults were bigger with an additional bed unlike many other hotels where they have the same room and add a bed in the same place. Drawback - furnishings are being done. A very high step to the bathroom in the first floor 3 people room. Double room - first room on right side after entry is great with best furnishings. All the rooms are not standard - there are differences in each room. Also, hotel is difficult to locate.

The Himalayan resort is located nestled at the base of the mountains overlooking rice fields and in the distance, dal lake (it's on the north side of dal lake near the taj hotel). Everyday one can hear the beautiful harmonies of call to prayer from the various mosques of Kashmir echoing from the balcony at the hotel, but no car honking because it's far from the main part of the city. Sunsets are perfect to watch on this balcony too. The staff is friendly and helpful , there are many tours possible to experience based on what you're interested in... We were there during major protests so unfortunately many tourist sites were shut down and unsafe to visit but our hotel accommodated us the best they could by taking us for a day hike instead, and setting us up with a houseboat for a few nights and organizing a tour to Naranag in the mountains to see the gypsy way of life (the tour was called gypsy tour). The food is delicious and always uses fresh ingredients. There is a thangka and jewelry salesman named Amad that can come to show you nice things to buy-- he has a good selection, reasonable prices and is a nice guy.

I had booked 2 rooms here through GoIbibo for 4th June, 2016. Booking was confirmed and I was having confirmation voucher from Go Ibibo. But the hotel management got lured by some other customer who must have given higher rates. When we reached the hotel we were told that room is not available in that hotel. As a substitute they offered us rooms in very cheap hotel named Jannat International or asked us to take our money back. It was a terrible experience. After a long and strenous journey we had no alternative but to accept the room in Jannat Int'l where we got quite ordinary rooms and stale food. In this land of hospitality, the hotel staff is really cheatster. We really had a nightmare for our stay period here. Traveller beware of such fraudsters and commercial minded persons.
