Tranquility, peace and gorgeous views, the Floating Heaven houseboat at Nigeen Lake is the place to be at. This was my second visit to Kashmir and I chose to stay with them yet again for 4 days as I trusted their commitment to providing the best hospitality. Besides their warmth, what I loved about the houseboat experience was waking up to lovely interiors. Intricate wood carvings with traditional wood furniture and beautiful Kashmiri carpets are praise worthy. The rooms are cosy and aesthetically designed with traditional Kashmiri upholstery. The legacy of the Floating Heaven is being brilliantly taken forward by the owner Mr. Mushtaq. He is very passionate about his houseboat as well as travelling and trekking around Kashmir, which he is happy to plan for his guests. During my trip as a solo traveler, he guided me and booked me accurately to places and hotels that were of my interest. He ensured that my road travel was booked with punctual and trustworthy drivers and hotels were a pleasant stay. He is the best person to ask about everything you need to know about travelling in Kashmir. The caretaking staff Yususf bhai and Mustafa are very friendly and helpful and always available within a call. This houseboat is absolute luxury aesthetically and in terms of all the amenities as well! Mustaq Bhai, the owner is a gem of a person and the caretaker Yousuf Bhai is also sweet! He cooks delicious food.
