I stayed in taj Srinagar for 2 nights, it was my first time visiting beautiful Kashmir and taj Srinagar added a beautiful remembrance of my travel to Kashmir. It's a beautiful and well-maintained acreage and without a doubt, this acreage has a beautiful view of the famous dal lake. Buffet choice for dinner and breakfast is terrific so do the taste of the food. I had an incredible experience at this acreage and for sure taj, Srinagar will be my first and only choice if I plan to visit Srinagar in future. I would like to compliment Ms Azra from the front office department for a very warm welcome and a smooth check-in process and Ms Muskaan, Mr Tariq, Mr Rahul, Mr Mir and Mr Moied from the F&B department for looking after us during our stay. All the staff names I have mentioned above are very humble and great personalities, they take ownership of their job role exceptionally well and go the extra mile to create a memorable experience for their guests. I wish the entire team of Taj Srinagar all the best and I highly recommend this acreage to all of those who are planning their trip to Srinagar in future.

In February, we visited the Taj Wellness Resort and Spa with our 10-year-old and had a fantastic time embracing the winter season. Arriving around lunchtime, we found our rooms ready and were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a spacious room with a better view, chocolates and a large bathtub.After braving the chilly Kashmiri winter outdoors, indulging in a hot water bath was incredibly relaxing. Despite the ongoing renovation, which we were informed about via email beforehand, the hotel staff ensured a comfortable stay by relocating the restaurants to banquet halls. They also provided helpful suggestions for exploring the city. With umbrellas in each room for the rainy and snowy weather and warmers placed strategically throughout the hotel, we felt well taken care of. The cozy ambiance of the room added to the overall charm of the experience. It was truly a memorable stay, and we savored every moment of it.

I wanted to extend my sincere thanks for the incredible experience we had during our stay at your beautiful property. Right from the moment we checked in, the hospitality we received was nothing short of exceptional.
The room we stayed in was absolutely stunning—the interior design was impeccable, and the outside view was simply breathtaking. It truly made our stay memorable.
I would like to give special thanks to the lobby manager, Mr. Iqbal, as well as Chef Amarjeet and Chef Sewa. The entire restaurant staff deserves applause for their unbelievable service. The food was nothing short of delicious, and the level of care and attention to detail you all provided was truly outstanding.
Thank you for making our stay an unforgettable one. We look forward to returning and experiencing the magic of Taj Vivanta Srinagar once again.

If it's one line for travellers "AVOID TAJ SRINAGAR"
I am putting a big stone on my heart and writing this review about Taj Srinagar.
My reservation was done for January 6th 2021 but due to heavy snow fall all flights got cancelled and we postponed our trip for February 2021. From day one my reservation was been coordinated by Mr. Vishal Sharma (GM of The Taj Srinagar) Mr. Mudasir Rashid (Front Office Manager) and Mr. Imran Wani (Front Office). Check in was done at the lobby lounge over a cup of Kahwa and was smooth.
We were escorted by a lady who was neither introduced to us nor did the lady bother to introduce herself to us. Any ways, she was very kind to take us to room allotted to us which was upgraded as informed by Mr. GM. The room looked neat clean and sanitised but sadly on pulling the chair I noticed food stains. The wardrobe handle didn't have screws and was falling apart, the safe was broken and the washroom used prior to our entering the room. All this was brought to the notice of Mr. GM with proofs which have been attached in the review as well but till I wrote to Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, no one cared to get this safe changed or the handle of the wardrobe rectified. It was on the 3rd day of our stay that Mr. GM meet me and after that the safe was changed and the wardrobe handle screewed well. Just Sad and never expected this kind of service from The Taj Group or may be its a franchise so the property and people have a care dam attitude towards such basic things.
I personally feel its housekeeping failure and then front office as so many lapses on check in are never expected.
Coffee shop is the only outlet that's operational right now @ The Taj Srinagar and one of the staff smoked and came to take our dinner order. As I am a non smoker, I asked him if he smoked and came and the gentleman didn't even take a second to agree to me and had NO regret on top of it. Simpl Bad HR and careless coffeeshop manager.
The only three who cared for us and made us feel comfortable were Chef Abhishek Chef Seva ji and Mr. Tariq who served us from day one till our check out. Thank you from the bottom of our heart. It was just because of you three that we continued our stay after so many episodes happening with us.
No words, just that was a horrible experience @ Taj Srinagar.
Hope the management and team takes corrective measures so that these kind of lapses do not happen with other guests.
It's a NO NO from my side to try Taj Srinagar

Not maintained at all, the staff is not up to standards, the food was really bad. The view is really good but that’s about it. It definitely is not value for money, not even close. If they aren’t able to provide Taj services, edible food or even basic courtesy to guests- they shouldn’t be charging Taj prices. Please stay at Lalit Grand, it’s a 200% better property, well managed and good food.

This was a very disappointing stay. This is 100% not TAJ standards and I’m sure the place is far below TAJ standards. So if you are hoping of TAJ level you’ll not get, it’s like a usual 4* property. The view and location is just mind blowing and the happiness stops here. 1. The basics are not there, for the breakfast the toaster is broken and TAJ cannot replace. 2. The entrance to room is disgusting (2*) pics attached. 3. Room service by dialling 0 is too slow, when asked for the toiletries, have to repeat thrice to make him understand. Bath salt is a prestige and have to be asked thrice. 4.When dropped by buggy and asked to wait for 5 mins, the guy left without informing 5. When being checked in the host asked for 3000 for extra bed, when informed that this has already been paid, he had to check again. We checked in at 6:30 PM 6. Rooms are old, toilets are old, not refurbished.
Basically it’s very bad and doesn’t command INR 58,000 per night bed and breakfast. It’s worth checking out another hotel and not get deceived with TAJ name.

Staff is very professional, friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean with modern furniture, with all amenities. @Md.Alamgeer I would like to thank and express my gratitude to our table in charge ,offered a great lunch and dinner suggestion ,was very quick to respond and very polite.Thanks for the cake at our room the representation was a real work of art! @ Abhishek Awasthi (chef) thanks a lot for wonderful and delicious food. Your interaction with us to know the taste bud was awesome .The Anniversary cake was FANTASTIC! The flavor was out of this world. @Aijz Khan thanks lot for taking us a tour of hotel and explaining the history . I would recommend this hotel for both business or pleasure trips. This property is situated in lap of nature and has very good view of Dal lake. Thanks to all the staff to whom i might have interacted and came across but could not recall your name .

Jagdev, Davinder, Bhagwat, Jaspreet, Chef Sewa, Iqbal,Shadab, Shahbaaz and the teams - such was the attitude and dedication to perfect service at Taj Vivanta, Srinagar; that I’d have it no other way, but to start by first mentioning the names of the staff that made our 5-day stay atSrinagar as heavenly as the city itself.Â
Well, with 2 toddlers in tow, I was a bit worried about going to Srinagar (with security pov). But as soon as we landed and exited the airport, the attitude of the people was nothing less than heartwarming to say the least. Â
Our car zipped through the sparse city traffic and we soon reached… well, shall I say heaven! The majestic setting of the Taj Vivanta left us overwhelmed with its beauty. It is situated – literally in the lap of nature.
Surrounded by the Zabarwal ranges, the property overlooks the valley city and the famous Dal lake beyond it. The little-big joys of being at a place as untarnished as this are a rarity in today’s times and are best left to individual experiencing– of which, we had plenty.
But, apart from the surreal beauty of that place, what really stood out, etched clearly in our memories is the warm, welcoming and wondrous hospitality – along with a clear recollection of the smiling faces of each individual on duty there.

Located on a hill top surrounded by greenery this hotel has a beautiful lake view. Good hotel with helping staff. Ishfaq , Mushtar, Bhat were really helpful. Pure air, clean atmosphere with good food.

Taj is always special anywhere, anytime. The coffee shop at Taj Srinagar is no less - an afternoon spent well lounging with high tea and great service from Dibyendu. That’s what holiday memories are … a bite here n there with a cuppa in a warm n cosy nook and a friendly chat with a pleasant service provider like Dibyendu.
