Nice location , Excellent view , awful food , just okay breakfast buffet , Don't expect the " TAJ " Experience , in other words NOT worth 18 K per night , that too for the basic room . very old & dated rooms , needs a complete renovation
Food quality, menu and taste not upto the mark of Taj. Airport pickup commitment was not honoured. Snobbish attitude of staff. Lack empathy and kind gestures despite complaints raised during various occasions.
Very poor service, lack of knowledge in staff, rooms quality was not so good.service was really very very poor not up to make of taj level. Over all very very bad experience with this property, will not recommand to anyone
We visited Srinagar for a small family holiday . The view of the Dal lake from the property is unmatched . The food has been excellent . Chef Sewa Sing and the team were very helpful and made excellent Kashmiri cuisine on request . The dinner buffet everyday showcased few Kashmiri dishes along with global cuisine . Vegetarians of the family were introduced to subtle Kashmiri delicacies . Infact we all felt that Kashmiri food cooked by chef Sewa sing was much better than the one we sampled at the famous Resturant Ahdoos at Lal Chowk . One of the best gastronomical experience !! Thanks to chef Sewa sing and his team .
Right next to the Tulip Gardens going uphill giving you the view of the entire Srinagar city, this Taj property is definitely the best for a relaxing time in Srinagar. Closer to many attractions in Srinagar and overlooking the beautiful Dal Lake, Vivanta was truly the best choice we made at the end of our exhaustive Kashmir trip. Serene views of the Dal Lake on one side, mountains on the other side and the city on the back side, this resort is huge and gives a relaxing feel to the entire experience. The Premium Indulgence Lake View rooms are huge and cosy with huge bathrooms and a beautiful bathtub. They come with a balcony or a patio in the garden overlooking the Lake. The service is prompt and the staff is very cooperative. The only issue was the food at the restaurant which was definitely not up to the Taj standards. The outside seating part of restaurant gives specatualr views but not possible to sit out in winters. The indoor portion is very sadly decorated and needs refurbishment in designing to give a modern vibe. Food spread and quality needs a lot of improvement as we were disappointed most of the time. But overall loved the vibe of the resort and its locations and views and rooms and would definitely be back here again!…
