"Welcome Hotel" the name of the hotel is is true in every sense of it.Kashmir is a tourist destination to be explored in every season ,we have been visiting Kashmir at least once every year and Welcome Hotel is like a second home in the Valley. The hotel will give you a warm feeling as you enter with the all wooden interiors of the huge reception area. The views from the hotel are amazing of the Dal and the mountains around.Special mention for the food ,the restaurant serves the best veg and non veg food I think available in Srinagar do not miss eating most of your meals at the hotel.
Note: Important to mention that without good service at the hotel you cannot enjoy any holiday. The reception staff of the hotel special mention Mr Innayat ,Mr Imtiaz (he has all the knowledge a tourist needs) and Mr Masroor (the ever smiling person & warm person, we have a developed a special bond with him) also the housekeeping and other services staff are all polite and helpful.
A big thanks to the Hotel Management to make all our holidays special.

How beautiful the place –Srinagar and how wonderful the hotel –Welcome.
Stepping into the aesthetically decorated lobby with my family put to rest all our anxieties & doubts. The smiling Mr. Masroor Ali the front office manager was personally there to greet us and gave us a room on the 4rth floor..
The newly renovated adequately furnished room was spacious, clean and very well lit. On drawing the curtain we were amazingly greeted with the sight of a 180` view of the Dal Lake and the rows of house boats on both banks.
The buffet breakfast was more than elaborate with eggs, upma, toast etc and the best chole bhature being served. Even bournvita was an uncommon option, in addition to the regular hot beverages
The unbelievably beautiful location on the Dal lake boulevard and the prompt & efficient service of the housekeeping and room service staff made our short stay a most memorable one
The reassuring and welcoming attitude of Mr. Masroor during the pre-visit calls was entirely responsible for us opting for this hotel. An attitude that will take Welcome Hotel leaps ahead in the hospitality field.
Would definitely recommend this property to one & all and most surely stay there on our next visit to Srinagar

I visited Hotel Welcome many a times, it was always for business purpose whenever I happen to visit Srinagar, I stay in the same hotel. I have stayed here for more than 20 times by now. The location is fantastic, just opposite to Dal Lake, after the day's work you fill at peace, because of the serene location. During the peak season of valley, you find the hustle and bustle of many tourists flocking around till late night. Even if you are not taking a ride at the Shikara, you can just sit on a chair in their lawn and enjoy the lake in front and the glittering house boats on it.
The food is really good, and the service is just superb. I can take many names who have created good impression on me, however, I would like to mention about Mr. Imtiyaz from Banquet who is always there to give you a solution whenever you are in need of something, he is always smiling, and his actions are super-fast. I bet you will achieve your satisfaction and be delighted.
Although I am an advocate of the property, however, still would like to suggest them to improve on the household materials, timely changing of housekeeping materials like bedsheets, chair covers etc. with new ones leaves very good impression. The new rooms are good, but the older ones need faster improvement.
As tourists are increasing in valley, the price for rooms is getting expensive. I would request the management to keep it within reach of the middle-class Indians.

The hotel is at an excellent location, right in front of Dal. Lots of Shikara ride options, great place to take a walk along the lake. Taxi stand is nearby, close to residency Rd. very close to La Delice. Food is also good, tried only breakfast but was satisfactory.
The only thing that can be improved is the room hygiene. Keeping disposable slippers, making better drainage in the bathroom, cleaning the floors of the rooms (thank god it’s not carpeted), changing the towels. A smaller, but cleaner is far better than large, big exactly clean rooms.

Good location and having easy access to market. Rooms are good and cozy. We booked 2 rooms and one was renovated while other was not. During winter I found the non renovated room was cozy as had heating system. Other room had ineffective room heater.
Food quality is below average and suggest to go nearby instead having meals here.
The worst part is the so called breakfast. We took rooms with breakfast for 3 days. It was same for all 3 days. Poor taste, oily, least options and they refuse to serve alternates even on chargeable basis as kitchen was busy in preparing the breakfast.
If you still want to stay here, pls go for room only.

Located right in front of Dal lake, it's lake view room with the best views one can imagine. It's situated in the on the bank of Dal lake and other tourists spots close by around 6 KM’S. The staff is courteous, amenities in the room are of good quality. Must try Kashmiri food at Welcome Hotel- our all time favourite, cannot miss kashmiri dam aloo, yakhni and pulao. The managers' at the restaurant fulfilled our last minute request , in no time piping hot food was served with variety. Memorable stay. Thank you.Highly recommended

We a senior citizen couple wanted to stay near Dal Lake and found that location of this hotel ideal for our choice. Initially I booked for first two nights to know suitability for us and were quite satisfied with location and services of this hotel and extended our booking for 4 More nights. Food, location, loom ambience and size room was very good. Little expensive hotel however we were happy to stay there.
Staff of hotel is good specifically Imtiaz from front desk helped us and supported well during our stay.
