I had visited Srinagar in the last week of November with family and trust me it was the best time ever spent.
This is one of the best luxury houseboat which you will come across in the entire Dal lake as it was very clean, amazing staff and superb hospitality. The people over there treat you as their family members and as if you are a part of them so you are 100% safe here!
They have given us 24*7 service and helped us in everything we have asked for.
Please do not think twice to book this place and definitely visit it as you will have a time of your life here!
They even arrange for in-house boat shopping so that you don't have to travel all the way in the cold which was a very nice experience, and they provide you with their best authentic tea that's Kahwa which I miss the most!!!
Mr. Lateef Tunda (7780855195/9419065738) is a gem of a person who helped us plan the entire trip and was with us throughout the journey. He is a local who is running this business since a very long time, his expertise and knowledge on which places to travel and explore is amazing! He will always provide you an honest and a true advice unlike other tour guides who just run after commission. This trip would not have been possible if he didn't guide us.
I also read the bad reviews written about Dawn group but I haven't faced any such issue during my entire trip.
Feel free to just go and have some fun at this place! You will forget all your stress and would end up crying a lot on your last day when you are leaving Kashmir!
I have decided to visit here once every year to just LIVE my Life! 😍😍
Cheers! 🍻

We stayed 4 nights at Dawn Boat House, its was a great stay and we love the boat and the atmosphere. Dal lake was so beautiful. We went on shikara ride everything was arrange by the owner Mr Aksar Saab and his both son Mr. SAHIL & Mr DAYIM . The food was warmly prepared with Indian aroma taste. We really enjoy the food over there. They treat us as a family and fulfil our need. I'll deffinately recommend to my family and friends.
As I am from singapore I will strongly recommend everyone around the world to visit kashmir and Dawn boat house.

This is my 3rd stay with dawn group house boat. They never disappoint with their clean, hygienic and beautiful house boat and excellent service. Mr. Aksar (owner) is a true gentleman and he always takes care about their guest personally. Dawn group house boats are by far the best, peaceful & surrounded by beautiful view. If you are looking for a memorable stay in Dal Lake, without hesitation book Dawn.

We had the worst exoerience on dawn houseboat. They are just looting people. Dont waste your money. We booked it for 2 days but cudnt make it for one day because of bad room conditions and service. They even charged us for the whole day just for spending couple of hours.

The house boats on Dal LAke are an absolute rip off....Please bargain on the price for a night stay before you decide to board one..They can be very friendly and buttery but when it comes to money they will squeeze you for every penny. The Dal lake is absolutely beautiful but the locals are greedy and are only interested in making a quick buck out of you.

Dal lake has many faces - there are parts which are congested, some parts are very dirty and some parts very serene. This group of houseboats are located in the open, quite and serene part of the Dal Lake. The view of the open Dal Lake is amazing from this houseboat. The lake is really wide over here. Takes 10 minutes by Shikara to reahc the shore. There are dedicated Shikara walas who will wait for you at their stand unless you come back. We came back pretty late sometimes and found them waiting in the shivering cold.
The interiors are pretty good and rooms spacious altough I am sure they may be even better decorated houseboats in the lake. The hospitality of the staff (Manzoor Bhai) and owner (Aksar Tunda) was very good. They kept us very warm in the cold Kashmiri november nights. We stayed in the Happy Dawn boat. Food - we had dinner once with them - it was homemade delicious stuff. The rooms and toilets are pretty clean.
No hassles here of floating salesmen trying to sell you their stuff. I have heard that in some places the salesmen keep on appearing through out the day. Here, it is only if you ask the staff - they will arrange for their preffered salesmen to appear at the time you want them to come.
The kitchen comes in very handy for getting your quick cup of coffee. Running hot and cold water in the bathrooms almost through out the day - no issues even in November.
Overall - very good. We had planned to stay here for 2 days. Ended up staying 5 days. We also got a very good deal as it was off-season. Our team consisted of a 3 yr old, 3 people above 60 and 3 people in 25-35 group.

We stayed in one of the house boats on 14th May'14. It is a different world altogether. Very well maintained & very classy ambience. We had got delayed and checked in around 10pm. Thankfully the attendant Mr.Bashir was cordial enough to arrange dinner. To our surprise we got really good home made food. This was a welcome break after eating in all sorts of places! The rooms are very cosy and comfortable. In the morning after breakfast we went for Shikara ride. We loved the location. It is bit off the commotion of Dal Lake and provides solitude and fantastic view. Great place to enjoy Dal Lake!

Visited them in May 2014 the house boat is really nice , very well furnished great location.
Now the minus points .. food was awful not edible at all.
We reached there at 02.00 Pm and we were 7 of us 4 adults and 3 kids, they just refused to serve us any type of food at that time.
The service was pathetic the care taker was always ready to say sorry sir this will not be served this cannot happen.
would not recommend someone to stay here.

We stayed at the Dawn houseboat and we truly enjoyed the stay, the location, hospitality and facilities were great.
We stayed for 4 nights, the room was clean and well maintained, the home made food was great, but you will have limited choice. The owner made us feel at home as he was personally making sure his guests are happy and comfortable.
Would recommend this place.

I stayed in Happy dawn houseboats from 14th may 2011 to 21st may. The location is excellent . It has crystal clear view from the boat upto 1 km .There are no obstructions in between from this boat.U can feel the beauty of lake from the boat. The quality of food, cleanliness of room, hospitality of the owner Shri .M.Aksar Tunda is really superb and appreciable. There is 24 hour running water in the bathroom and all taps.Laundry service is also given. We also were served with Jain food. I felt like A Home away from home.Morning is damn beautiful and shikara ride of lake makes u feel so relax....Vimalbotadra@gmail.com,mob:-----
