I am eagerly waiting for my next stay at Clarks. Staff is very polite and helpful, the way approached me it was awesome even the service of foods also very delight and tasteful prices also Very reasonable. Location is nice for all travelers . Hotel facilities are good. This is a well furnished hotel with a well behaved and active staff. Market and all tourist spots are nearby this hotel. Staff was so courteous that they even prepared food for us which was not in the menu. Overall, my experience was really awesome. I would definately say that everyone who is visiting to srinagar must visit this hotel for stay.

The pleasant attitude of Mr. Shah Mudasir (Relationship Manager) towards us and his affable smile relieved us of all the stress and insecurities of travel in Kashmir. Thank you for making our stay as comfortable as possible.

Hats off to the chef for serving us mouthwatering Kashmiri delicacy. The team at the restaurant and room service was courteous to our needs and requirements. Being vegetarian in Kashmir was made easy with their experience.

Life at Clarks Inn, within doors, is among the few pleasanter prospects than a neatly arranged and well-provisioned breakfast-table where guests feel at home, even if you wish they were.

Mr. Shah Mudasir is the true ambassador for Clarks Inn.
Hotel Clarks Inn is the true ambassador for Kashmiriyat.

Clarks Inn Srinagar stay from 30th March to 1st April '21 was a nightmare - upon checkin I got locked out in the bathroom as the lock was defective, had to be broken by a service staff before I could come out. There was no hot water, upon request hot water was partially available in bathroom. Food for breakfast and dinner buffet was never available on time, either bread/chapatti other basics were running short/delayed while people waited for the food to arrive. They charge for providing sealed bottle of water everyday. Cleanliness is a big issue - room wasn't sanitized/cleaned properly before next group of guests checked in, also room cleaning service isn't regular everyday and is done only upon guest request if they remain outside the hotel during the day. The food tasted atrocious. Overall absolute waste of money, please beware before booking this hotel!

We were a group of 3 families (10 people) who were visiting Kashmir in June, 2022 and checked into the Clark’s Inn on June 16, 2022. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, it was a hellish experience.
As we walked in to the hotel at around noon, the staff, who were lazing around in the reception area, stared at us as if we had fallen out of the sky. Check in process took a pretty long time and we were asked to pay upfront for 2 additional beds as we had reservations for 8 people only.
Most of the rooms do not seem to have any natural light source and only a few actually have windows facing outside the hotel. After much negotiations, we were able to change our originally allocated rooms to 4 other rooms for which we had to pay some extra charges in cash.
Some of the other issues that we faced were.
1) Cockroaches were seen freely moving in and out of the 2 suites we had – we managed to stomp a few and showed the pictures to the housekeeping staff and the front desk – they did not seem too bothered.
2) There was no hot water running in the taps. On calling the front desk, we were informed that the water heating machinery was broken and certainly would not be fixed that day and if we were lucky, perhaps it would work the next day. The issue was finally fixed late evening of our Day 2 of stay there.
3) Hot water is only available, when it works, till 10 pm at night
4) Food quality (breakfast for us was part of the package) was below average
5) Service quality is definitely not in line with what you expect from a Clarks Inn property – the expectation seems to be that if you need something, you will get it yourself.
Recommendation: If you were on a visit to Srinagar and this was the only hotel with rooms to stay, I would recommend that you take the next flight back and not risk staying here.

They have charged Rs 20000 for 2 rooms for 1 night and service is terribble, It is overpriced and room size is too low.

There is no electricity and you can not use Air conditioner on genset which means no fans and you cant open window in room # 107.

I have spoken to manager but they are not ready to upgrade my room or provide AC back up.

Please dont waste your money by booking this property.

The experience was a disaster right from I tried to intimate the hotel regarding 2 extra beds(a dozen days before my travel) to J&K.

I had to speak to number of executives and write emails marked to multiple people , the most hassling experience I had during my entire trip to just add 2 extra occupancies .

The hotel experience was no way close to a 3 or a 4 star. The staff is busy making money (either pocketing the proceeds or as instructed by the owner) as they charge all extras in pure cash when the country is moving towards digital payments.
The hotel is perhaps a franchisee of Clarks Inn coz and they have their own rules to run the place.

Availability of hot water is at hotel’s whims, cockroaches in rooms and no hair dryer are just some of the few discrepancies that you have to embrace.

Aircons too don’t have a power backup.

Breakfast was a less than average affair.

Our friend wanted ice and he was asked to wait for 2 hours , this gives a glimpse of their service which is pathetic.

Not sure if this is now the current situation with the Clarks chain or a franchisee issue. The chain must seriously take a peek at this

My wife and I senior citizens who had a confirmed booking, with full payment made was told that there was no booking.

On contacting the number from which at least 4 reminders came for the booking I was told, rudely at that, by one Mr Bashir that there was nothing to be done and we could contact the website from we had booked, which was the hotel website.

We were left in the road after full payment months in advance.

This is unheard of in the hospitality business.

The hotel staff who were very polite and helpful gave us a room and sorted the matter out.

While the property in general is good, in the room 209 we were allotted, all the water from the shower cubicle flooded the bathroom.

The food was well below acceptable standards.

In short it was a Nightmare. Never again at any Clarks'

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days on our way to Leh (3rd and 4th Jun’23). The hotel is situated in a residential area. The check-in and check-out process was extremely smooth. The staff was helpful, contrary to a tot of reviews they were not pushy at all. We just booked the stay and ordered dinner in the room. The food if not great was filling and hygienic. We stayed in room no. 110 for the price we paid (INR ~5.2 K) the room was a bit small. Dal lake and the major tourist attractions were ~5 – 6 KM away. Rest everything was great.
