Hotel is as what we expected considering the low cost. Rooms are ok but quite damp. But service was very good. Dal lake is visible from the outside, limited food option but good. We stayed here for 1 night as our flight rescheduled 1 day early. Overall ok in this cheap price range.

I booked d budget room from 22-24th april for Rs.3300.Wen visited the houseboat,Mr.Farooq(owner) came to pick me up by his boat He seemed 2 be quite courteous & helpful.Wen we saw our room we found it so unhygenic & even there were no windows for fresh air.I asked Mr.Farooq to shift me 2 another deluxe room 4 wch he said its not available but then he showed another houseboat & told me tht it would charge 200 extra ie.Rs.3500 for 2 nights.I agreed to tht.Breakfast was included. At the end of my visit,a drastic change occured in d behaviour of Mr.Farooq as i dint asked him for extra services as myself belongs to tourism business & i knw evry pros & crons of tht.Now,at d night of 23,Mr.Farooq,who has nothing to do wid the payment as i was staying in some other houseboat,asked the owner of tht houseboat Mr.Shaify to not accept d payment frm me as some of my car bill was pending wch was a clear lie. The drama started,Mr.farooq showed his true colours & now demanded me Rs.3500 for each night wch was originally dealt for Rs.3500 for two nights.On arguing wid him on tht,he threatned me of going out of the houseboat without paying the whole amount.He was so rude & cheat. On the other hand his son was behaving as if he dont knw anything & was acting like a silent calm boy wch was a myth. Guys if i wouldn't have got local contacts,then i would have been in trouble staying in green view houseboat. Mr.Farooq is a meethi churi,jo pyar se bol bolke aapko lootega.Zabaan naam ki cheez nahi he unki.Atlast i had to pay extra 700 for which he said k paisa nahi he to ghumne kyu aate ho. I wud highly recommend to not to fall in the trap of polite behaviour of this guy as he is a real cheat.…
