We have been to Hotel Kashmir Residency recently. A nice and decent hotel with all the modern amenities. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The staff is co-operative and helpful. The food served in the restaurant is also good.
Its nearby ban ganga so it makes the chadhayi easier. We also utilized the Massage services at the hotel and it was quiet good.
We were a large group of 12 people and it was all in all a pleasant experience....

Katra was my first stop during my nine day holidays of Maa Vaishno Devi + Kashmir. So I needed a good clean room where I can rest for few hours and start my yatra to Bhavan.
I was allowed to checkin 1.5 hrs in my room (seriously no questions asked). Room itself was big, neat and very clean. Its around 2 kms from Katra station, situated closed to Multiplex/Dominos outlet.
Had a good relaxing time after my yatra and will recommend this place for sure.

Hello trippers,
Hotel Kashmir Residency is very well located. A little bit away from the main market (yatra slip counter), but the stay quality is very good. It is a good place to ralex after the 26 km to and fro walk for Vaishnodevi. The only problem here is that they dont accept credit cards, but there is an ATM just opposite to the hotel. Hope you have a great stay here. Jai Mata Di !!!

The location of this hotel is good as the main chownk is around 500 meters.. the only plus option is that it has a lift to go to upper floors. The room walls, linens were dirty. Washroom were not properly functional as the flush was leaking and there was a little importance give to hygiene. There might be many other hotels that are available in similar cost. I stayed at this hotel a decade back and it was good that time; hence i booked it again without reading much about it else I would have avoided it. 1 star is for location and 1 for the staff. Restaurant experience was bad last time so I didn't even tried it. I would suggest to opt for better hotels in the same price range. Location was good as you would get a auto for the main chownk and for the helipads easily...

I had been Here in the past week my stay here in katra was splendid and amazing. We enjoyed the stay in hotel kashmir residency. This is one of the best luxury hotel I have visited on kashmir. The service is good.

this hotel has good& a good enviorment. a good ,i stayed atvisit to vaishno devi temple. This is a nice and comfortable hotel situated at a beautiful place. Services are very good. All other facilities of the Fotel are also good. Staff was also very co-operating. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Katra, Hotel Kashmir Residency is very well located. A little bit away from the main market (yatra slip counter), but the stay quality is very good. It is a good place to ralex after the 26 km to and fro walk for Vaishnodevi. Its a nice hotel in katra with comfortable ac rooms. Good cleaniness. Value to money. Not very expensive. Near to city centre/bus stand.

This is my second review for this place...itself is a testimony of how good this place is!! Most cost effective option, situated nearby the place from where you need to start a trek. Rooms are huge and decently maintained. Washroom is also spacious and has hot water. You can have food at the hotel, or nearby restaurants as the hotel is near to the market place. Souvenirs can also be bought from the nearby market place...it is the most reasonable hotel in the nearby area and I would highly recommend it to all the travellers!!

We had a booking for two nights through cleartrip and I paid the full amount while booking. When we reached there 3.00 AM in the morning - the duty manager denied the booking and he was not willing to listen or cooperate at all & was asking us to call cleartrip. I asked him to get me a new room (i was okay paying cash again, since it was 3 AM and we had females in the group) & he clearly denied. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and my suggestion is to always call and confirm your booking first before going.
