Period of stay: First week of Nov'18 Location: - Within 1 km of the Mall (the HP Tourism office is in the mall) and also 1 Km from the ancient and famous Hadimba temple (known more for the natural settings than for religious reasons). - Very conveniently located. Has ATM (Yes Bank) and medical shops right around it. Also there is a very good network of ATM (HDFC Bank, ICICI bank, SBI etc) within an easy walking distance from the hotel. - Within the same enclosure that holds the HPTDC hotel (Rohtang Manalsu). - Quiet ambience. Rooms overlook mountains (on a clear day). - The walk to the Hadimba temple via the Circuit House Road as well as the Hadimba Temple road is a very pleasant experience. Lot of good restaurants around. - Has a beautiful garden and lawn and the facilities to have the food outdoors. Rooms: Spacious enough. Overlooks the valley. No buildings that block the view. On clear days I could see the snow capped peaks (provided of course it has snowed on the mountains) sitting right inside the room. The bathroom is reasonably spacious and comes with a bath tub and shower curtains. The towels and linens were clean and the rooms quite comfortable. Services: Overall satisfactory, but there is room for improvement. Staff is courteous and polite. We visited in the off-season and found some lack of harmony. For e.g we had requested for food to be served in our room. Once the dinner was completed the gentleman came to clear the dishes. When we requested him to clean the table which had some spillover, he politely pointed out that we need to call a different department to have the table cleaned. Subsequently though he had himself cleaned the table, but it was kind of jarring to hear that we needed to connect with two different departments to have the food and the table cleaned. Also there was one particular day when we were the ONLY patrons in the hotel. There was a power cut that affected Manali that morning. There was no water in the taps (hot or cold) or even inside the commode water tank to flush the waste. When we connected to the reception desk, we were told that generators are there but since there is not sufficient number of guests, the same will not be switched on. Upon making repeated requests (at least four times) finally the generator was switched on for about 15 minutes and then switched off again. My request to the management is that even if there is a single guest in the hotel, essential facilities like power and water (particularly hot water in the cold mountains) to be made available. Having said that, I am particularly thankful to the management, who allowed us to stay in our rooms till upto 5 PM before we boarded our bus to Delhi, although the check out time was 12 noon. That was a really nice gesture and we are obliged to the management. The staff has been very helpful to arrange for cars and permits for traveling to Rohtang Pass. Food: Reasonably good and tasty.…
Very nice hotel with very nice location. It is around 1 km from mall road and very near to hadimba temple and Manali club house. Food quality was very nice especially gobhi parathas. Neat and clean room, good space, awesome view from windows. Hotel is having ample space for parking with big garden. Overall a very nice and lovely place to stay.
The hotel is an enormous building. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The food is average. But the rooms are big, cozy and comfortable with free heaters (although small and don't make a huge difference). The view from my hotel room was breathtaking and when the first sun ray fell into the room, it shone with warmth and brightness. The hotel is spacious and helps in getting services for the Manali sports activities. The rooms can easily accommodate 4 people. There is an outdoor garden with swings in the hotel. Good experience over-all.
Checked out within 1 hour of reaching this hotel. This is a pretty old property, from what I sensed - these folks are least bothered to maintain the rooms + the corridors are dingy with stained floor coverings through out (read: red & dirty). The manager and staff are old school - not interested in relating to the customer (doing me a favour by offering a room @ 3500 / day). When I complained about the sad state of affairs (dirty bathroom / wrinkled + stained bedsheets / smelly room / undusted furniture) - they casually offer me a suite, which is in a similar shape, however a bigger size - does that better my experience, I do not think so (slow clap for the management) You want to spend more than a day in Manali and have a stay to remember - stay away from this property... By the way - I gave up 1 day of room rent to bail myself out - NEVER EVER…
Hotel is 10 minutes uphilll from mall road by foot. Be ready to burn those extra calories if on foot. Hotel has nice view from room window but not from all the rooms. I did little bargain and got 30% discount even in peak season.
We had a college group in the month of December as well as January Good service even for the big numbered group DJ is nice Food was also loved by all We also send the family clients in the hotel and don't get any complaints Location is very nice as it's 5 min from mall road Regards Tejas Around the Globe Holidays
The rooms were very spacious, with mountain and apple orchid view. With breakfast & dinner the package was very economical. Infact, one must try for inclusive package only as it comes out cheaper. Toilets were very clean. Extra space and food was provided for driver for no extra cost. Nice garden for enjoying the sun shine, bon-fire and folk dance. Great service by staff and good food (Veg). Their chef Mr. Braham Dutt was very keen to customise menu as per our choice. Great, comfortable and pleasant stay.
I stayed in this resort in 2011. I booked this resort after a great reference from a friend who visited it. The resort is old, but one of the biggest in Manali. Big rooms. Clean Bathrooms. above average breakfast and dinner. Frankly nothing wrong with the resort, but still could have been better.
I have stayed here on jan-2014. comparing to other hotel that our travel agent provide this was the best so hope they are getting really good rate from this property. rooms are quite good as any other 3 star hotel.
