I travel to Manali in Jan 13 and found this cottage as one of the best cottage with excellent service. Mr. Happy, the owner is great and helping person. He arranged Cab for us for City Tour and we had wonderful experience.
My self with my family had a horrible experience in red rose cottage in manali, i booked one room for 2 day & they charge 8000 Rs, road side dhaba wl be more comfortable rather then this terrible hotel.
Hello Myself Vinay Sharma. Red cottage at manali is nice property and situated beautyful location. there staff is very supporting and well manners, specially Vishal Raj (cook cum manager) is done excellent job and provided delicious food. I enjoying my Trip with unforgettable memories.
A perfect stay, super clean rooms with warm and extremely comfy beds. The hot water and shower were the best we experienced in 5 weeks of being on the road. The service was great... friendly and warm staff and family. We would recommend staying here away from the hustle and bustle of Manali... My only critique would be the 40 rupees=50 pence Sterling for a cup of hot milk, as steep as the mountains the hotel sits on. Go across the road to the shop and buy you own!
We had a room with a balcony and it was pleasant enough , I'd say 8/10 for cleanliness. Quite a journey into Manali by cab or Tuk Tuk but I found Manali too busy. The village is lovely. Staff reasonably helpful but not "in your face". Would stay again. Wifi not reliable though, very slow but as expected in this area.
We stayed over at red rose cottages from 22nd of May till 25th of May. The rooms that we received were clean and cosy. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant the day we checked in and the food was delicious specially aloo paranthas. The wifi connectivity is also good. Though power was not there on the first day they were generous enough to provide us several buckets of hot water. The rooms/bathrooms were also cleaned after us, with bedsheets/blankets replaced. The view from the balcony is mindblowing you could literally see snow capped Rohtang Pass peaks plus the hotel is full of roses and cherries. Will definitely stay there again.
The rooms are great and the view from the corridors are excellent. But the bathrooms are not clean enough. The staffs does not give a care about your stay. They have no responsibility. The cook was good and food too.Power has a big issue with this hotel. The geyser was not working at all.You have to carry your own luggage. The Hotel staff has no vehicles for pick or drop facility. All you have do it by your own.
Friends! I stayed at this place last week for 4 days and believe me, whoever gives 4/5 stars to this place is surely a fake. Here are the reasons: WHY? The hotel has nice rooms and I stayed in the best room with awesome views of snowcapped mountains but alone that is not enough. 1. You cannot appreciate the beauty with empty stomach. No food/ restaurant in this hotel. Everytime I had to catch an auto and go to mall road for food. 2. The place is located in such a place that you cannot come here in a sedan/ any car with low ground clearance. Also no parking facility rather park at your own risk at street side. 3. No cleaning schedule. Once I asked, they simply arranged the bed but didn't bother to change the bedsheet or pick the dustbin. 4. No basic amenities like towel/soaps/toilatories. 5. No cab service for pick n drop. But surely they offered me Manali sightseeing at a hefty Rs. 13000. Am I a fool? I got it done by myself for 3 days sightseeing in Manali, gulaba, rohtang, manikaran, naggar, kullu, Jana falls in mere 3500. 6. An awful tea @ Rs. 25 But looking at the price, you can make it as a staging area for a day or two. But be ready for the odds. …
I had booked this hotel through Goibibo.com after seeing he pics in the website, after reaching the real location I see it was the real rose. I have visited second time in manali in Red Rose cottage, The team od cottage is very good & help full, they are giving every thing with in this price. Thanks to Red Rose. Thanks Sumit
Hi friends, I had been to manali in the month of Feb 2015 for 3 nights and had stayed in red rose cottage. Beautiful manaIi had welcomed me and my wife with heavy snowfall. We were very happy to witness our first real snowfall and we reached the cottage and Mr vijay from red rose received us in the heavy snow and escorted us safely inside the cottage. After 1 hour there was no power in manali and we started to have a tough time out there without heaters. And the worst part this cottage didn't have the power backup. Believe me the power came in the cottage only after 3 days. 2 nights we had stayed without power. Problems faced without power: No mode of communication since Mobile were switched off. Were struggling in the cold since the heaters cannot be operated. The tap water stopped We were literally screwed. The roads were heavily snowed and no vehicles were passing through. Guys please check out the hotels or cottages are having power backup especially when it is snowing else you are in trouble particularly if you are with kids and elderly person. The view from the cottage is awesome. Rooms are well maintained. Room service is good but all of these are of no use if you get an experience of our sort. Please feel free to call me at +91-8147861953 for any help. Cheers Shanavas…
